The Demon World is a world occupied by various types of demons. In that world there is one sovereign who controls everything, he is Luo Yun, who is known as the Heavenly Demon.

Luo Yun was a human from the human world and a genius, as evidenced by his ability to trounce other geniuses like him. Even his cultivation level was very high compared to other geniuses.

However, behind his genius, he was highly ambitious. Because of his ambition, he studied various martial arts and quickly increased his cultivation.

Then Luo Yun slightly clicked his tongue while looking at the area where twelve demons kneeled before him. They were the strongest subordinates who submitted after he defeated them.

"It's time I choose one of you to succeed me as the ruler of the demon world!" said Luo Yun without hesitation.

The twelve demons who heard him were immediately shocked.

"Please rethink your words; we are not worth replacing you at all, Sovereign."

Luo Yun smiled wryly; he had guessed his strongest subordinates would disagree with what he said just now.

Fortunately, Luo Yun had ideas for the freedom he wanted after being at the top with no one to match him.

He said, "Inevitably, one of you will have to replace me, as I want to do closed cultivation and try to make a breakthrough to the next level of my cultivation."

"I don't know how long it will take to make a breakthrough. So during that time, one of you should take my place!" Lou Yunxi added firmly.

The twelve Demons who heard this were both shocked and proud. 'But if I had to choose, I think he is the most suitable to replace me. In addition, he was the Lord of the demon world before I defeated him with a landslide victory!' Luo Yun said in his heart while looking meaningfully at Lucifer, a notoriously arrogant and clever demon.

Luo Yun then said what he had decided. "Alright, the one taking my place is Lucifer. So you guys must respect him, and if he does anything improper, don't hesitate to punish Lucifer!"

Other than Lucifer, the eleven Demons immediately agreed with Luo Yun's decision. None of them had a problem with Lucifer's appointment.

"Yes, Sovereign!" Lucifer quickly left because he couldn't stand Luo Yun's oppressive aura.

Even so, Lucifer was quite happy, as his request had been answered with The Heavenly Demon's approval.

While Luo Yun smirked a little, how could he obey Lucifer's words? He said that only to keep Lucifer away from him.

Besides, Luo Yun already had his plans for his freedom.
