Chapter 3
They paid for the dresses and went back home. It was already nightfall when they arrived,they quickly had dinner and relaxed a little bit.
Hua wumian retired to her bed early, She logged into their school group chat on Wechat, Zhou Chen had been offline for six years and hua wumian barely enter this group chat, she strolled over an endless stream of messages.
"Hey guys I heard that Zhou Chen is coming back to country M after setting up his business in country Z.."
"Yeah we heard something like that."
"Poor Hua Wumian no one knows why he had broken up with her..."
"Yeah I wonder how she must be feeling back then."
"But that's all the past now, didn't they break up if they love each other they can still get back together."
Most of the people in this group chat were either married or singles, some where from wealthy and influential families.
Hua wumain world was spinning seeing the entire conversation, what if she had stopped to look at her phone first, then she might have not really given up on Zhou Chen.
"Zhou Chen is coming back".
"Zhou Chen we can never be together in this lifetime. I've waited for you for so long and it's only when i gave up on you, you decided to show up..." Hua wumian knew they would never be together and accepted facts, hearing the sound of her ringtone.
She saw the caller it was her friend Bo Yanran and picked the call, Bo Yanran worried voice was heard.
”Mian Mian did you hear, Zhou Chen is coming back.."
Bo Yanran didn't like Zhou Chen for leaving her friend and thus wasn't happy when she heard he was coming back.
"Xiaoran I've already forgotten about Zhou Chen, don't be worried..”
Hua Wumian spoke calmly, her voice was neither cold or warm.
"Hehe that's good, he's a bastard for leaving you..”
Bo Yanran mocked him, she knew Zhou Chen wouldn't have any chances to get back with Hua wumian. Bo yanran talked some more before ending the call.
Hua wumian wasn't sad or angry, she wasn't guilty of anything, so if Zhou Chen came back she didn’t have to explain herself.
She laid on the bed deep in thoughts, she had neutral expression on her face.
Nothing lasts long in this world, not even love.
The next day Hua Wumian went to work as usual, the day was very busy as everyone worked faster than the clock.
"I’m beat...."
Hua Wumian slumped into the couch tiredly, why was working so hard.
Bai Zhi chuckled as she patted Hua Wumian, before saying.
"If you really hate working, then marry a caring man who would happily take care of your needs..."
Hua Wumian scoffed as she walked to get a bottle of water, she did not need any man in her life right now. And she didn't want her mom to bring up that topic.
"Wumian what's going on, no boyfriend means no husband and no husband means to children and no children means I'm not a grandmother....."
Bai Zhi egged as she stared at Hua Wumian softly.
"I'm not saying to you rush into a relationship, but at least if you see one..don't run away from it...."
Hua Wumian just nodded and walked upstairs, closing her door softly behind her.
Bai Zhi sighed, she didn't want her daughter to remain lonely for the rest of her life, she wanted her to be happy for the rest of her life.
Slumping on the bed, playing with the bottle of water in her hands,lost in thoughts.
Hua Wumian sighed she didn't know why she didn't like those blind dates her mother looked for her, marriage? she hadn't even thought about it.

Hua Wumian rubbed her temple, she could feel a headache coming up. It wasn't her fault she wasn't in a relationship, she just hadn't seen anyone she liked.
She reassured herself, that it was the reason why she was still single.
Hua Wumian in her wildest dream would have ever thought she would be entangled with a Man like Su liangxiao.
She tossed and turned all night, before finally sleeping about five in the morning.
Hua Wumian left the room sluggishly, her spirit was downcast as she drank a cup of coffee. She didn't enjoy her last night sleep at all.
"Morning..come eat breakfast..you don't have to go to work today. Stay home and rest..."
Hua Wumian nodded she wouldn't dismiss an opportunity like this.
She waved Bai Zhi goodbye and ate little for the food before carrying it back to the kitchen.

She took a quick shower and wore a light pink sweater with a black jeans before coming downstairs, there she received a call from Nuo xiulan
”Xiulan what's the occasion..”
Hua Wumian asked casually as she waited for Nuo Xiulan’s reply.
”Mian mian what's up baby girl, let's go out hmm.”
”I don't really have anything doing today.”
”Mian Mian lets go out, let's me up at Meng Meng’s coffee shop..”
”You'll buy me a cappuccino right..”
”Get your butt down here and we'll see about that.”
Hua wumian chuckled and grabbed her bag, as she left the house, she wore sunglasses and took the cab since she didn't feel like driving.
Bo Yanran and Nuo Xiulan had been good friends, ever since Hua Wumian’s best friends went to study abroad.
Five years ago..

Hua wumian met Nuo xiulan directly at the entrance.
"How was your trip here, was the ride up to your taste..."
Nuo xiulan taunted with a goofy grin on her face.
"Shut up! you brat I'm here now we're's my cappuccino..."
Nuo xiulan chuckled and handed the cappuccino to Hua Wumian.
Hooking her arms around Hua Wumian, Nuo xiulan rambled excitedly.
"Mian Mian let's go have fun, first let's go to the amusement park and try all the new rides there..."
Hua wumian smiled and followed Nuo xiulan into the amusement park.
"I'm a little curious why are you bringing me here.."
Nuo xiulan shook her head, wasn't it to have fun.
They spent two hours in the amusement park, enjoying the rides and taking pictures. And after that they went to get ice cream.
"One strawberry and vanilla ice cream for my friend and one chocolate chip ice cream for me..."
Hua wumian asked the rather young ice cream man.
”Two ice cream for two beauties."
The ice cream boy flashed a sweet smile at both Hua Wumian and Nou Xiulan.
"What's your name little boy..." the boy seemed like a high school student, but what would an high school student be selling ice cream on a school day.
"My name is Jin Ming, it's a lovely name right..."
Hua wumian both glanced at each other, chuckling.
"Yeah it's a lovely name, Mian Mian let's go shopping...."
Hua Wumian shook her head, she wasn't a fan of the mall.
"Went there yesterday with mom.."
Niu Xiulan nodded, they finally dragged on the day before they both went their separate ways, Hua Wumian heading home directly.
