CH.10:Arrogant,obnoxious basta*d

"Just because I laughed a bit and I am talking to you,doesn't really mean we are on friendly terms" he said in his low husky voice,I really find that sexy. I stopped my movements for a second and looked up.

"I never thought, assumed or said that we are. Neither I wanna be with you on those terms, we are strictly and clearly on buissness terms, Mr.McCain." I replied without giving any other attention to him. " And I was making food anyway,it wouldn't hurt me to add an 'extra' portion.So don't pay any heed to it and especially don't 'overthink' my 'actions' ." With that I got up with my plate without waiting for his reply and went to kitchen to wash my plate.

When I properly first met him at his house, he had stone cold expression.And in the morning he was smirking,in the kitchen he was chuckling and now...he became like dead serious, gone back to being cold...what the actual fu*ck is wrong with this man? is he on his period or something, because if he is then no wonder he gets 'mood swings'.

I was putting the dishes in the dish washer when I heard foot steps behind me,

"Here is the key-card and the passcode, for you to access to the elevator,the house and the my personal garage. But you cannot touch any of my cars..."he placed them on the kitchen island.

I scoffed,"Don't worry Mr.McCain, it's not like I was going to.I have a car of my own,it should be delivered soon"

"Hmm, okay then. Oh yeah, I almost forgot we would be announcing our engagement in the coming week at the charity gala which is being hosted by me...So we would be getting married in maybe a two,three or four months time..."

I thought for a while, as much as I want to delay the marriage I can't, I need the other share of his company, so I could guarantee my safety in his territory and I also need to get away from him as soon as possible."Um sure, we could go with that,but the actual marriage should take place this month"

He raised his eyebrow,"Why? are you that eager to marry me?" his corner of his lips turned upwards.

I scoffed,how many times I am going to scoff at his words? "Don't flatter yourself, Mr.McCain, there is no way in the world I would be ecstatic to marry 'you'. It's just I want to get done and over with it." I saw that he looks a bit irritated whenever I call by his second name. I turned around and grabbed the stuff from kitchen island and went back to my room.

I took my phone out of my pocket and dialed the number on my speed dial. After three rings that person finally picked up, before they could say anything I spoke before.

"I am ready"

"....- finally!!, Yess! ohh you have no idea how long I have been waiting! So, first things first, would it be fine if I publish them?!"

I giggled at their enthusiasm "Yess of course you can and I really wanna see the snakes faces"

"Haha you know it will be amazing"

[20 minutes later]

*knock*

I was just about to answer the door, I paused when I see Kyle standing at my bedroom door and I give him a 'what the hell?' look. *o yes please come in and make yourself comfy*

"I'll call you later.Yup yeah byee" I ended my call and crossed my arms over my chest and gave him a questioning look.

"Who were you talking to?"

"No one..." how is this any of your business, I thought? And he squinted his eyes in suspicion.

"There is someone at the door for you...." I just walked past him without letting him complete his sentence.Because I already knew who was it and from where,'well that was fast' I thought and made my way towards the main door.

As soon as I saw him, I had a big smile on my face and ran towards him. "Jace!!" I shouted his name and when he saw me a big grin on his face as well and came moved towards as I was already running."Reaa!!" he hugged me tight,picked me up and twirled me around, our laughter filled the whole room. After someone's cough he finally put me down and we turned around to see Kyle standing with his arms crossed over his chest, I could see his biceps almost ripping his shirt which he had worn now and standing there with a annoyed look.I cleared my throat,"Ahem,uhh Mr.McCain this is Jason.My personal bodyguard,best friend and my school mate." I finished,I noticed that Kyle kept on raising his eyebrows with the annoyed look.And all I saw was these two alpha kind men 'glaring' at each other as if they will murder each other any moment. Jace(Jason) broke the glaring contest between them and introduced himself.

"Hello Mr.McCain..."he slung his arm around my shoulder and looked straight at Kyle while Kyle on the other hand looked at the arm around me, and Jace continued "Just like she said I am her best-friend/school mate and 'personal' bodyguard.I had a contract with her father for her guarding but now I have it solely with her, I'll would be around now if you don't mind..." I looked at him and then at Kyle, back and forth from their faces and stayed like that for few minutes. As soon as Jace was Kyle opened his mouth to speak he turned towards me and said "and your baby is here as well, came this morning" My eyes were wide with surprise and I squealed, I ran back to my room,came back wearing my sneakers.He laughed at my excitement whereas Kyle just had a scowl,"what baby?" he asked,Jason and I totally keep on ignoring the poor guy, when Jason told me that "it's waiting for you at the car park" I ran,literally like my life depended on it...I had to see her now!
