Preparations In New Oania!

The Peace Corps Headquarters is located in New Oania. Since the War for peace ended and peace was accomplished. It is said that the war was fought so there would never be another. Despite that objective and the end of the war, the Peace Corps Headquarters was a fortress. The Headquarters was placed in the old Sumar Castle. After the current commissioner took over, he built the outer walls, and came down hard on recruiting. The Peace Corps forces were no more than 20,000 and now they sat at around 180,000 not including forces from allied nations.

The Commissioner walked down the hall with one of his advisers, running off about his schedule.

"We've been getting word of remnants of the Oania citizens causing unrest in the East Coastal Towns. They're requesting assistance." Even slouching, the man was about two heads taller than the commissioner, Felix was a relative of the commissioner twice removed from a cousin. In his old age he couldn't remember from which side of the family. He was competent enough but just slightly too eager eager for the commissioners liking.

"Felix, I refuse to commit troupes to handle a beggar problem. Ignore the request." The old man scoffed.

"The Heads of their respected Houses have come personally." He revealed.

"When?" The Commissioner asked.

"They arrived this morning." Felix regretted having to say. "They've already been received and shown to our guest quarters."

"Why would you do that?!" He fusses. Picking up speed hoping to get to his office as soon as possible.

"They're in good standing. We couldn't deny them." The commissioner stopped in front of his office.

"Ridiculous. I'll call for them later. I have more work to do." He opened the door to his office only to find a man he never really wanted to see, but valued his contributions all the same.

"Hello Commissioner." Enol said in a gruff voice. Standing by the window in the Commissioners office was a tall and well built man.

The Commissioner looked back at Felix. "You can go now."

"Oh yes before I forget. The Sergeant asked if you would speak at this years Graduation." The Commissioner glared at him and Felix closed the office door.

The tall man wrapped in a teal cloak turns to the Commissioner. "Seneca."

"Enol, you should refer to me as Commissioner and make sure to use manners."

"I heard that my son is graduating early." He scowled at Seneca.

"I don't understand your problem." Seneca waved him away and organized his papers on his desk.

"Why was I the last person to know?" Enol's frustration building.

"I was not aware he was graduating early, although I was made aware of his talent."

"Which is it you didn't know or you're hearing his praises?"

Seneca raised his head from the papers, displaying a fierceness in his eyes. "As I said, both."

"Well it doesn't make sense to me that you would hear of his talent but not the youngest graduate in history."

"I don't recall anything like that coming to my attention. Not every trivial occurrence makes its way to my ears."

"You sound like you're having trouble keeping up with your work load. This isn't the only issue that seems to not have come to your attention. I know you're in no hurry to exit your position, but maybe it will help to save your legacy."

"Thank you for the advice. I'll ignore your tone due to the disappearance of your son. He is still, missing? How long has it been?"

"Goodbye, Seneca. You can expect my interference over the next few days." He headed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

Seneca dropped the papers he was fumbling with and headed towards the window. "Hmph, as if I don't know how old I am. It is my legacy that holds me here. It seems too late to find someone, not just anyone. Someone who understands, the balance.Someone who can keep the peace."
