1 Prologue

The Age of Shinobi was indeed really over.

It was a statement that Boruto would never forget for the rest of his life as the sixteen year old stood on top of the destroyed Hokage mountain. Exhausted and battered from his final fight against Kawaki where he had eventually won, the blonde had let his guard down and openly rested on the ground, observing the big view of the village.

"It's finally over." He muttered to himself, as his thoughts began to cloud his mind.

The fight between him and Kawaki had reached into huge proportions that it immediately destroyed most of the village, which was once a progressive and lively city. He never knew that the man that he once considered as a brother was indeed the man that would destroy the lives of many people, including his loved ones.

It was a hard and sad truth, it was not a dream, but a reality that he had to face. He could feel his arms and legs visibly shaking as the emotions that he kept inside had been freed and slowly overwhelming him.

"It's over." He muttered again as he began to sob and tears visibly came out from his eyes.

Boruto embraced himself as the wind grew stronger, sensing that peace had finally took over once more, he gave an exhausted smile and began to cry. All the harships that he had face, the challenges to get to where he is now, especially the gains and losses.

While the wind grew stronger, the dark clouds slowly faded away, and the sun with its rays began to shine once more. A ray of light found its way to the certain blonde, who had finally let all of his emotions out.

As time passed by, Boruto stared and observed the view of the village in front of him. It was heart wrenching site since houses and buildings in every area and district had been razed to the ground. There were hardly even structures that survive, even the Famous Ichiraku Ramen Shop that survived multiple invasions, had been finally brought down by the fighting.

The Shinobi Academy

The Hokage building

His Home, where He grew up, were all gone. It was hard to believed but it was all true and a reality.

Boruto shook his head once more to avoid these kinds of thoughts right now.

At this point in time, the survivors had already been evacuated to a safe place, leaving him the only person left. It was time to rejoin the others, especially his little sister, who was also helping and assisting the other survivors along with his Uchiha teammate. His mind then drifted to those two girls especially his little sister.

How was she? How is she handling the situation right now?

Boruto gritted his teeth in annoyance, He should be already there right now to help her, Why was he still here and doing nothing!?

The teenage blonde immediately stood up from the ground, and started to limp his way back to towards the evacuation area, where the survivors currently resided, it was also at the same time, that he realized that he was going to walk all the way towards his destination, since he was drained all out of his chakra.

"I guess I got no choice." He commented to himself as proceeded to leave the area, with no other things to worry about but reach his destination as fast as possible.

After Several Days:-

Like a thief in the night, war had struck the majority of the Elemental nations. A kind of war that saw most of the neighboring nations brought down on the brink of annihilation. It was more destructive and chaotic than the previous Shinobi wars, although this time it was a war between the side of humanity vs the invading forces of the celestial beings known as the "Otsutsuki clan."

The war silently started three years ago, in the midst of a peaceful and progressive era. Then a thirteen year old Boruto Uzumaki, unknowingly found himself in a situation, where he really had to step up, get stronger in order to protect his loved ones. He never expected the aftermath of what would happen when this events had transpired and that all would end up to where he is now.

A gush of wind blew passed by, as He stood on a small open field somewhere in the forest. The weather was fine as the sun's rays penetrated the large trees, a comforting message from nature to the silence that has been continuing on throughout the day.

Three individuals were present in the said area, Boruto Uzumaki, his little sister, Himawari Uzumaki, and their pet guardian/companion, Kurama, also formerly known as the Kyuubi no Youko. The siblings each wore white attires as a symbol of peace and farewell, while Kurama was in his small fox form.

It was a kind of place that they decided to choose for the burial and resting place of a loved one. Hinata Uzumaki, their beloved mom, who had risked her life to protect them during the war.

There were thousands of deceased bodies that were randomly scattered across the battlefields and villages, it was hard to distinguished or identify them since some of them were pretty much unrecognizable due to the destruction that had been placed. The rest of the survivors didn't knew what to do with all of them and had no choice but mark their graves unknown in field of graves.

The war had left thousands dead, and including friends and family alike.

The Uzumaki siblings were lucky enough to retrieved their loved one's body as they search for a place to give her a proper burial away from all the aftermath of the destruction and thanked Kami that they had managed to locate a site in one of the forest on top of a small hill.

The grave was simple, a stone had been erected on top of the grave and there were a set of flowers which were laid on the stone itself, while the rays of the sun shined upon the grave itself.

As of now, they all tried their best to remember the good memories, especially for Boruto and Kurama, who were the ones that could not do a thing for a crying Himawari, only but was able to comfort her during the first phase of the burial. Both also tried their best to not get affected by the sadness that was so overwhelming, and in the end, they let their tears fall out from their eyes as they coudn't handle it anymore.

Himawari was the one that was affected the most, she was the one to witnessed their mother's sacrifice as she risked her life to shield a wounded Uzumaki girl from the enemy's attack and that moment placed her into an unconscious state that would last for a long period of time until fight had ended.

Boruto tried his best to comfort his little sister in his arms. He had to admit that it was a heart wrenching scene and wondered if this was going to last all day. He just kept a strong face and kept calm even though the emotions were right at his doorstep.

Along with him was Kurama, who was silent for most of the part. As much as he wanted to bring them back, He can't, because he doesn't have the power to perform that kind of feat. He could only stare and mourn as of now.

He gave the teenage blonde a look and nodded at him, as if he wanted to tell something after this trial had passed.
