Day off

After the culprits were detained and Macy returned to the hospital, I and Sam go to check the warehouse with other officers. Well, we did a great merit today by solving a case today. We also did not need a search warrant anymore to inspect the warehouse. Inside the warehouse, we found the girl dead body and we immediately send to the morgue and inform her family. I hope her spirit will rest in peace since her body will be taken care of and get a become proper burial. We also confiscated all evidence that becomes proof for their crimes. After finishing our business in the warehouse, we leave it to return to the police station. And during our way to the station,

"Hey partner, how you going to write this report?" Sam asking me this matter again

"Aren't boss scolding you for the previous case before?"

"No but. You both will temporarily relieve from the case and take days off for three days starting tomorrow. That's the order"

"Yes sir!" after saluting the captain I leave his office.

After leaving Captain Allan office I can see Sam already waiting for the news from me.

"How?"

"We must take the day off for three days, starting tomorrow"

"He didn't mention salary cut right?"

"Nope. You happy?"

"Of course, hehehe"

"What's your plan?"

"What else? Date with my woman ah"

"Do you have money? Or you need to borrow again? Remember you already have lots of debt"

"Can you lend me some?" Sam asks with the smirk on his face.

"Nope. I don't know when you will return it if I lend you money"

"You're so mean! C'mon partner, just this time okay?"

"Nope .. nope .. and nope again"

"Stingy!"

"I just don't my money goes to your honey-suckle woman"

Finally, he didn't force me to lend him money again, and I can keep my money intact.

Next day, I wake up early as usual only to realize I'm on a day off starting today. Since I have nothing to do at home, I'm thinking to do something outside. But what is that? I just realize most of my time goes to my work or sleep. Now I have plenty of time and don't know what to do.

Hmmm … what should I do now? Suddenly I remember Macy, she doesn't have many friends and looks lonely. I think it's a great idea to take her out of the hospital once a while to change the mood. So I change into a casual dress and drive my car to the hospital.

After getting permission from Dr. Sullivan to take Macy out, I'm looking for her in her usual spot, garden in hospital backyard. And there she is, sitting on the garden bench and enjoying the sun rays. She's wearing the dress I gave her previously. With a little cough I'm approaching her, she looks glad to see me.

"Good morning Mr. Jones"

"Good morning Macy, It seems you like that dress very much"

She looks a little bit shy before answer it

"Beside the hospital gown and this dress, I don't have other dress"

Ugh, I forget she doesn't have family that can bring her changing clothes in this hospital.

"How about we talk a walk in town? We can buy another dress for you there"

"Um … do you ask me to go out Mr. Jones?" she asks with a little blushing

"Uh yeah, I already have Dr. Sullivan's permission to take you out," I think my face a little bit hotter when said that. I don't know if this can be called ask a girl to a date.

"Okay, I'll go with you" she smiles nicely when said that.

So we go to the downtown using my car. We stop at a big mall in the town and go to the fashion section to find a new dress for Macy.
