1 Prologue.

"System refreshing..." A robotic voice is heard from the seemingly endless void of death.

The voice is nether male, nor female, but seems to be a combination of multiple voices.

A light flashes, and suddenly I'm in the all too familiar room. The panelled walls, cords, high tech computer screens, and large desk-like control console. All of these things that were so dazzlingly cool when I was first brought here, now pale in comparison to the worlds I've seen.

I've seen technology that looks far more advanced than this. I've flown around using magic in more than one life, and this place has started to feel less special with every life...

If anything it has just started to feel like a parent's home. You visit now and then, but never get to stay as long as you want.

Through the large floor-to-ceiling window on one wall, you could see the scene of a half built world. Green grass covered hills, a sun shining in the blank looking sky, rivers and lakes doting landscape that has yet to have a single tree or bush.

I walk over to the control console. "System, save the souls that have formed ties with us to the storage tubes after they have passed away." I talk to the screen in front of me, giving the system the same order I give after every life.

The souls of the family and friends I make in each life, will later become the base for new life in this once barren world. Reborn anew in this new world.

"Saving in progress..." The robotic voice replies. "Would you like to go for a walk to check on the previous worlds souls?"

I shook my head.

It wouldn't be any different from the other times I've gone, I would just end up feeling down. I've already said my goodbyes to my friends before I left that world, and while I could see their souls, they were frozen in the storage tubes. And wouldn't be able to do anything but sleep.

"No, thank you. Please give me a briefing on the next world. I want to Respawn as soon as possible"
