Revelation

'I have successfully concluded my process to determine the quality of your character. You are indeed fit to become the successor of the Sentientsteel. The divine knowledge of the most successful era will flood your body now. Please prepare yourself to receive it. The process won't be light.'

Said Axiel as he was prepared to pass on his entire civilization's knowledge to Arvin Wildheart.

With beaming confidence and excitement, Arvin mentally fortified himself to endure anything he was about to receive.

Glittering dust, with a tint of Gold and silver, started to enter Arvin's skin. As shortly as they touched his skin, Arvin's pupils dissolved leaving just the white eye, and his face was pointed at the sky. His hands raised to his shoulder level as his legs were crossed at the ankle. He blazed like a mighty star and resembled a person who was reviving divine revelation.

His body drifted in mid-air and swirled slowly. This went on for more than a minute. He didn't look like someone suffering but like someone having every ounce of their body cleansed.

His body slowly lowered and it laid itself on the ground. He was unconscious and yet to wake up from his previous state. His soul integrated back into his body, pushing life back into it.

Arvin tried to open his eyes slowly, but it was too heavy to open. He blinked a couple of times before he could fully open it.

Everything was blurry as he tried to concentrate on an object in front of him. It was a painting of a silver deer in a forest. He recollected where he had seen this painting before. It was positioned in his bed chamber in his house. He turned his head around to find a woman sleeping on a cushion chair. His mind was clearing from a hazy state. It took him a few seconds to recognize the woman. It was his mother. She had lustrous raven hair flowing to her hip. She was wrapped in an exquisite violet dress. A hardcover book lay on her chest with her arm on it.

'Mom'

Uttered Arvin with a fragile tone. His voice barely managed to get out of his mouth.

'Mom'

He tried again with the most strength that he could muster.

His mother's face startled a bit and she opened her eyes. He sat up and glanced at the awake Arvin.

'Oh, Arvin! You're finally awake.'

She rushed in to give him a hug. She was elated to see her son wake up from a very long slumber. She pulled herself back and asked for her maid to come in and assist her.

The maid hurried inside and saw the awake Arvin. She teared up like Arvin's mother, as she was delighted that her master was finally awake.

'What happened?' asked Arvin with a weak voice.

'You were in a coma for the past two weeks. Royal soldiers found you and others severely injured in the dungeon near a dead Drake.'

'They found that you were still alive and carried you to the capital.'

'Since you were in a coma, the soldiers brought you back to our place so that you can rest until you recovered.'

Arvin sat up as the things that happened in the past few weeks dawned on him. He was still grateful that he was alive and well. He checked his limbs for proper function.

Arvind tried to remember what happened to him in the dungeon.

He tried to remember the knowledge bestowed upon him by Axiel, the last Emperor of the great SentientSteel Empire. He concentrated his thoughts on the wisdom that was given to him.

A voice unexpectedly commenced to speak inside his head.

' Greetings! I am Aether, the one who has the entire information that was delivered to you by Emperor Axiel.'

'Please let me know when you are ready to evaluate the knowledge passed down to you.'

Arvin's face glowed with excitement as he heard the voice in his head. He was also eternally glad that it wasn't all a dream meeting the Emperor. Even though he was thrilled to the core, he had to talk more rest. So he went back to sleep with a smile on his face.

The next day, Arvin woke up, refreshed himself, and ate his breakfast to regain his strength to have a focused mind in order to go through his rewards from the dungeon.

'Hey Aether, are you there?'

Thought Arvin

'Yes, ready to begin the introduction?'

Answered Aether.

'Of course, walk me through it.'

'The knowledge of the great civilization is at your disposal now. It does not only have the information to design machinery or weapons but also all types of knowledge in the fields of administration, alchemy, construction, Battle training, and so on.'

'The entire knowledge and resources will not be released from the start. Each upgraded information will be made available only after gathering enough experience.'

'After a certain degree of experience is accumulated, you can either have the corresponding field upgraded or unlock a new field.'

'I can offer general advice and inform you about the state and conditions of resources, items, and terrains.'

Briefed Aether about the range of functions it had in its arsenal.

'What do you think about my current strength and mastery over magic?' asked Arvin as he wanted to know what level he was in compared to the Sentientsteel era.

'You would be considered weaker than 80 percent of the population in the sentientsteel era.' said Aether.

'Whaaaaat!!, I'm at least considered at the top 3 percent in my kingdom.' Said Arvin in a flabbergasting tone.

'I'm not sorry that your kingdom is weak. It's not very surprising, given the average strength of your era.' smirked Aether.

Arvin just confirmed how much potential Aether just offered him to advance in strength. His head spun as he delved into the thought of it. Aether not only offered the chance to become significantly stronger but also develop the entire civilization with him. He could very well be the seed of an astonishing development that the future awaited.
