1 Chapter 1: The City and its creatures

The City a land of dreams, of hope and wonder. A barren land of asphalt and metal were brutalism meets utilitarian modernism, were every sure inch is controlled by an upper echelon of unknowns , the nameless and the formless. Individuals who have no sense of being and yet exist and cease to exist at a moments notice. Where every square inch is tightly controlled to ensure the maximum monetary yield whilst its occupiers the automatons toil away evermore so at repetitive and boorish tasks.

Who are these automatons you ask, well they are everywhere in the city from the gutters to the high offices, they are but machines, thoughtless beings made to be repetitive cogs whose habits and attributes have been manufactured through complex programming. These machines made to solve seemingly complex problems and ideas that cannot be comprehended by the mundane individual and yet these ideas seem inconsequential in the long run, they do not benefit society or contribute to the intellectual thought of the time. They are but arbitrary thoughts and creations made to satisfy the conditions of their overlords.

This city of glass and steel hides many secrets, some of which are inconsequential to its living being, others in which dictate the whole actions of its populace, these secrets and many more await the curious one, the individuals that sees past its grander and its hollow interior, the one who does not yield to the unspeakable unknowns. The one who in the eyes of the great philosophers such as Nietzsche become the uberman, become the person who creates his own destiny and thus determines his own fate. Are you the uberman, will you be able to see past the illusions can you see the real reality?
