19 Christmas Special

3rd Person POV

It's been a good few years since they got together and they are very happy with one another. They usually spend it at Aang's mansion with their friends and family but this year they would spend it as a romantic getaway. Aang paid for a trip at a ski lodge so that's where they were going for this holiday. They would leave for a few days and on New Year's they would be at Aang's mansion with their friends and family to exchange gifts and be happy about the new year.

Aang and Katara are currently packing for their little vacation. They were currently on facetime because they each wanted to color coordinate because they were that couple who liked to do stuff like that. They loved being on facetime with each other and whenever they would be doing something stupid or cute Aang or Katara would take pictures of each other and save them. They both got flustered whenever the other took a picture and it was hilarious because their cheeks still got red whenever they did stuff like that and they have been together for years now.

Once hanging up Aang finished packing his clothes. He also packed some presents he got for Katara. He got matching pajamas for the both of them and matching promise rings. Aang told her about the pajamas because knowing his girlfriend she was going to do the same thing. Aang got everything together and put it in his car. He was going to pick up Katara in a few and waited for her to text him to tell him that she is ready.

Meanwhile with Katara…..

She was getting everything she wanted to bring with her. She brought only warm things because she gets cold easily. She was going to buy matching pajamas for her and Aang but when Aang told her that he already got them she was a little upset because she didn't know what to get him. So she scrolled Shein/ Amazon for stuff a few days previous and found some boxers and cologne that he likes. It's a good thing she had Amazon Prime because the stuff she ordered came the next day.

They are going to be at the ski lodge for a few days and she wanted to have the best time. Even though she didn't know how to ski she was going to learn just so they can have the best holiday.

Katara was so excited to go on this little vacation with Aang because this would be their first vacation where it's just them and no one else with them. I mean they are grown but they are still kids at heart and they like spending the holidays with their friends and families.

Aang has picked up Katara and they are currently on their way to St. Everest Ski Resort (made up). Aang is currently driving and holding Katara's hand. They are about an hour away from the resort and Katara can't contain her excitement. All Aang could do was smile at her and drive. Of course, they listened to music and had mini conversations but the drive was mainly a comfortable silence and them sleeping and switching driving roles.

Aang, being the rich kid that he is, got the most exclusive room for them because he has decided that Katara deserves everything and she should have the best stay at the resort in the most comfortable room available.

They have finally arrived at the resort. Aang was the one driving when they arrived and he pulled into the Valet lane. A few minutes later someone came and they got their luggage out of the car and then the worker drove away to park the car. Aang had only one suitcase so it wasn't that difficult to bring along with him but Katara had about 3 different bags all in different sizes. Aang looked backed and had a slight grin on his face.

"You need help babe?" He asked snickering as she was fumbling a little bit. Katara sent a glare towards him.

"Yes," she grumbled.

"What was that? I didn't quite hear you" Aang jokes.

"Yes. Aang I need help" Katara said a little louder for him to hear. "Here can you carry this one for me?" She asked, holding out the larger bag of the two.

"Sure!" Aang smiled and grabbed her bag. They made their way to the Check-In. A few minutes later they got all checked in and were now on their way to their room with their luggage. Aang got the nicest room on the top floor. As they were walking in the long hallway, Aang stopped in front of two large double doors. The doors had beautiful gold designs to go over the medium blue door. Aang grabbed the key card from his pocket and held it up to the red sensor and waited for it to turn green. Once turning green the doors opened and they made their way inside.

Katara's jaw dropped once she saw how wonderful the room was. She immediately dropped her bags and headed towards the fairly large window and opened the curtains. The view was beautiful. On the inside, Katara was screaming very loud at how the view looks so cool.

"Aang!" Katara yelled and jumped into his arms. Aang was a little surprised but hugged back immediately. "This is amazing! How did you get this room?" Katara questioned.

"Don't worry about it, baby. I'm just glad you like it!" Aang said in her ear. He let her out of the embrace to see her face and cupped her cheeks. Katara was just looking into his stormy eyes and he was looking into her ocean ones. Aang brought her in for a kiss and of course, she returned it.

"Ready to go have fun?" Katara asked, breaking the kiss.

"Of course" Aang answered. "Let's go," Aang said. He made sure to have the keycard, his phone, and wallet.

They went back to the lobby of the resort and got an itinerary from the front desk to see all the activities that they could do while they were here. The first thing that they wanted to do was go visit the arctic emporium that was in the resort on the 5th floor.

After they visited the emporium they went to a cafe on the same floor and had lunch/dinner. Katara took many pictures of the fish that were in the emporium and Aang took pictures of the mammals that were there and he also made sure that none of the animals there were endangered because he is like that.

The couple shared the pictures they took with each other and the ones of the animals so they could post them on all of their socials. After they ate their food, Aang had the best idea to go ice skating when it was dark outside because the resort has beautiful lights that only appear during this time of the year.

With that plan, Aang and Katara went back to their room to change into warmer clothes because it gets colder at night. A few minutes later they were dressed warmly and they made their way to the lobby and then to the front desk. Aang got the passes that he paid for in advance because he is sweet like that.

The couple approached the door to leave the resort and when the doors opened the winter wind hit them and Katara visibly shivered while Aang tensed up. Katara was only holding Aang's hand when they walked out. She is now in a half-hug while they are walking. Thankfully, the ice skating rink was only behind the building. The only bad thing about this is the designer of the building didn't think that it would be a good idea to add a back door that is closer to the rink.

A few cold minutes later and they finally made it. They went to the desk where the skates were and they got their respectable sizes and put them on. Katara loved to ice skate when she was younger. Aang, on the other hand, has never been ice skating before and as he is putting his skates on he starts to regret his decision because he doesn't want to make a fool out of himself. But does he say anything out loud? No. He doesn't want to ruin the vacation so he is going to suck it up and is going to expect to have a very sore bottom when this is over with.

After they both got their skates on, Katara was the first one to stand and make her way to the ice. Aang could stand and make his way to the ice. The only problem was he didn't want to get on the ice. Katara was the first one on the ice. She managed to go around once before she realized that her boyfriend wasn't on the ice with her. She looked over to the entrance and saw him standing on the regular ground. She skated towards him and was on the wall by the entrance.

"Babe what's wrong?" she asked looking at him. Aang looked back up at her and then looked back down rubbing his neck as all the nervous boys do.

"Well…..here's the thing Kat...I-I um..donotknowhowtoiceskate" he mumbled. His gaze on the ground. It took Katara a moment to figure out what he just said and then she let out a little giggle. Aang looked up at her a little hurt that she was laughing at him. Once Katara looked at Aang she stopped.

"Baby it's okay that you don't know how to skate. I can teach you!" She smiled. Aang was a little uneasy about that idea. I mean she helped him when they went roller skating for her birthday. Aang smiled and hesitantly grabbed her hand as she brought him on the ice.

"Don't worry I got you" she reassured. Aang gave her a small smile that turned into a determined/frightened face because he DID NOT want to fall. Ang was on the ice and at first, his balance was nonexistent but when he got back up with the help of the wall and Katara, he watched how Katara skated and he copied her movements, and managed to do alright. About a few minutes later he got the hang of it. Aang went around the rink and back to Katara. There was just a tiny little problem when he was making his way back. He didn't know how to stop.

"KATARA HOW DO I STOP?!!!" Aang yelled. Before Katara could respond, Aang crashed into her and they both fell. But with a swift movement to protect her head, Aang somehow managed to change their positions before falling on the hard ice. Originally, Katara was going to be on the bottom and hit her head but because of Aang's stupid heroics, he hit his head. Hard. Luckily there was no blood but he groaned in pain as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head. He looked over to his girlfriend and gave her a reassuring smile that made Katara's mini panic attack settle down.

"Are you okay?" She asked. She was a little guilty because she should be the one in pain and not him. But she didn't say anything out loud, she just looked down with guilt in her eyes.

"Yea, I'm fine. I mean my head hurts but I'm going to be okay" he told her. Katara's gaze met his for a second but then she looked back down. Aang reached his hand out and cupped her face making Katara look at him. "Hey, I'm okay and it's not your fault okay so don't think that it is. I should have asked you how to stop before I went off." He told her. Katara had a few tears in her eyes and hugged him.

"I'm sorry. I should have told you how to stop. But I'm glad that you are okay" Katara said as she looked into his storm-filled eyes. Aang smiled and planted a small kiss on her lips. Of course, she kissed back. Once they released from their kiss they hugged again and stood up.

Katara taught him how to stop and they are now just skating. Oh, there were other people there they just were extras (tell me where that reference is from and I will virtually hug you). They were skating for about 30 minutes. They were about to head out and give back their skates until Katara saw the night sky fill with beautiful lights.

"Aang look" She reached out for her boyfriend to make him stop. He turned around and saw them too. He then looked at her reaction and it was adorable. She looked like a child in a candy store. Aang smiled at her reaction.

"You like them?" he asked. Katara turned to him with a huge smile on her face. Instead of a verbal response, Katara brought Aang into a hug and kissed him. "I'm going to take that as a yes then," he smirked. "Let's take a picture" Aang suggested. Katara nodded her head. The couple skated their way to a place on the rink that had good lighting and you could also see the lights in the sky. Aang politely asked one of the extras to take a couple of pictures of them and the extra agreed.

After the pictures, the couple made their way to return their skates and head back inside. While they were skating they completely forgot about the cold and just enjoyed the time that they were spending together. Once they grabbed all of their stuff they quickly made their way back into the warm building.

Once inside they went to the fireplace that was in the lobby to warm up a little bit before making it to their room. They grabbed a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and a handful of marshmallows on the way to their room because it was there and it is free. So who would turn down free hot chocolate? Surprisingly the hot chocolate was good and it wasn't the nasty kind of hot chocolate that some places make and sell for free because they know it's nasty.

Arriving at their room, they take off their shoes and winter stuff placing the hot chocolate on the side table that they were by. Aang plopped down on the couch that was next to him and exhaled audibly. Katara giggled at him and made her way to cuddle next to him. Aang kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arm around her.

"Did you have fun, Kat?" Aang asked. Katara looked up at him and smiled.

"Yes! I loved it so much." She gleamed. Aang smiled at her and kissed her forehead. They went back to their previous positions and went on their phones. Aang posted the pictures they took when they were skating on their shared account. When they were skating Katara recorded Aang first starting to ice skate on snap and when she rewatched it was funny. She posted it on her story with the caption saying 'He's so cute when he tries to ice skate knowing that he can't' with 2 laughing emoji. She posted it with no sound because Aang didn't exactly say anything it was just the extras in the background that are irrelevant to the story. While Katara was posting the embarrassing video of Aang falling at his first attempt at ice skating he posted cute/adorable pictures that he took when Katara wasn't looking. There was the picture he took of her staring at the fish at the emporium when they saw penguins and the ones they took of them kissing when the lights were in the sky.

They posted their things at the same time and got the same notification. Aang checked snap and KAtara checked insta. Katara's phone was faster than Aang's so she saw all the cute pictures he posted of her. Aang's snap was still loading and looked over at Katara and she just 'awwed' and hugged Aang. He hugged her back. Aang's phone finally loaded and let's just say he wasn't happy with the video.

Long story short, Katara was chased, caught, scolded, kissed, then alone She was only alone because Aang went to shower. While he was in the shower, Katara just scrolled through her socials waiting for her very beautiful boyfriend to get out of the bathroom. She heard the water stop running and internally hoped he wasn't wearing a shirt.

The bathroom opened and as the steam escaped through the opening out walked a very hot Aang with grey sweatpants on with the band of his boxers shown with NO SHIRT and water trickling down from his hair down his fit form. Katara's nose was a waterfall and she mentally fell back on the bed after sitting up to watch him walk out the bathroom. Aang was drying his air as he walked out and Katara's eyes were looking up and down looking at all the curves and indents of his abs. Aang's back was towards her as he placed his towel on the back f a chair to dry. When he turned around he saw his girlfriend eyeing him like he was her prey.

"You like what you see" he smirked. Katara snapped out of her daydream and her face immediately flushed.

"Yessir" she boldly said with a smirk on her face that was still flushed red. Aang's smirk was still on his face as he made his way towards her keeping eye contact. Katara's stomach was trying to flutter around while her heart was running a marathon in her chest. Aang looked at her with the intent to devour but as soon as he was in front of her, his expression softened and he kissed her. With no hesitation, Katara kissed back. Her hands were on the back of Aang's head. Aang started to leave gentle kisses on her neck. Before it went any further Aang stopped and kissed her forehead.

"I love you," he said. Katara's face was still flushed and she just stared at Aang.

"I love you too," she said back. They both had grins on their faces and before they could get comfortable Katara went to shower.

After her shower, they both cuddled together and put on a movie. They eventually fell asleep with the movie still playing.

December 24th, 20XX

The past few days were great for the couple. They did more cute stuff at the resort and they watched the lights every night. But they decided to watch it from their room because it was too cold to go outside. Aang has gotten better at ice skating. They managed to post more adorable/embarrassing videos/photos that were taken on their stories/accounts. Aang and Katara were having the best time.

Today is Christmas Eve and let's just say it was going to be a very fun day. Aang was the first one to wake up. Katara was the little spoon. With the quickest and gentle movements Aang made, he managed to not wake his queen. He went to the bathroom and did his business, brushed his teeth, and whatnot. He went to the suitcase that had the outfits and presents in it and grabbed the matching outfits. They are going to be the cutest couple there regardless because Aang is going to make sure of it. Being the amazing boyfriend that he is he placed the outfits on the couch and ordered room service for them. Katara was still sleeping and Aang in need of new wallpaper for his home screen took a picture of her sleeping. And may I say she was sleeping very cutely. Aang already had his lock screen as a mini video of Katara. The first image before you hold it to see the rest of them is Katara on her birthday and above her picture, it is just like the "don't touch my phone" wallpaper except it says "Only MY BABY can touch my phone" at the top and the bottom says "anyone else PISS OFF". He loved it and so did Katara.

About 15 minutes later the room service arrived. Aang closed the door and made his way back to where his sleeping girlfriend is. With her spidey sense of knowing when food was around, she started to move on the bed before slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes. In some magical way her hair managed to look perfect minus the little frizz there was but that's probably because she was the little spoon the entire night and she didn't move. After rubbing her eyes, she adjusted to the semi-bright room and looked over to see Aang grabbing the tray and the food that he ordered over to her. Aang smiled and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Good morning beautiful! I ordered you some pancakes and bacon with some fruit and some OJ. We are going to have a very fun day. Also, Merry Christmas Eve." He said as he made his way to grab the tray table to place down next to his now flustered girlfriend. Before replying she went to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Thank you, baby! You're so sweet" she said hugging him as he at his fruit and kissed his cheek before digging into her food. Aang smiled at her and ate his fruit bowl and pancakes. They ate in comfortable silence while on their phones. On their shared account they had messages from their friends and many reactions on it as well.

After they were done eating Aang showed Katara the outfit he bought for them and told her to put it on. After they both got dressed they of course took pictures and posted them. Aang was going to make this a very fun Christmas Eve for the both of them.

~Timeskip (just wanted to get to the present time bc I'm lazy)~

After the long day the couple had, they were grateful to have each other and loved one another's company. They managed to bring many bags of random souvenirs they bought for their friends and family they also posted lots of pictures and videos. They posted a few TikToks and they were the cutest couple that was in the resort.

They were back in the room and it was close to midnight and being the cute couple that they are, they went to their suitcases to grab the presents that they bought for each other. Aang and Katara made their way towards the couch and sat on each end. They exchanged gifts. Katara insisted that Aang open his first and he loved the boxers and cologne that she bought for him. Now it was Katara's turn. Aang told her to open the blue present and he opened the orange one. When she opened the box it was a promise ring and Aang had the same one. Katara was so happy and hugged him. They kissed right at midnight.

They of course posted a picture of them revealing the promise rings and posted it on their stories and they made their caption "My #1 Forever and Always". They wished each other a Merry Christmas and watched romantic Christmas movies the rest of the night.

This vacation will always be in their memories and will never be forgotten.
