8 Turn Me into a Criminal

Yona raised an eyebrow when she saw the immaculately clean bedroom after her bath. She surmised even the other parts of the suite were as pristine. This type of cleanliness beats even housekeeping. Everything was in place and it scared her to even move anything for fear of tainting the aesthetics.

What even more amazed her was the outfit laid down on the bed. It was one of those she set aside last night except there was a tan coat by its side and the other pair is nowhere to be found. Did I just get a self-appointed stylist? How thorough is this guy?

She smiled amusedly and took the clothes to the bathroom to change. Yona couldn't help but admit that the outfit did look better with the tan coat on. Truthfully, she was going to put on a denim jacket with it but now that she saw it, that was an awful idea. She commended Ren once more in his mind.

Yona blowdried her hair briefly and put on some light makeup. She stuffed her traveling essentials in a square sling bag and went out the bedroom. As expected, when she walked out, the entire suite was cleaned spick and span. Yona couldn't help but hold a sliver of surprise. She was a messy person, admittedly. Even taking out a set of clothes could end up in a closet upheaval. Pretty much like last night.

She does know how to clean up after herself but being a CEO of a huge corporation she hardly has time for sleep much less cleaning. Hence, the habit has stuck. Seeing her room this clean even though it was a hotel suite and housekeeping was bound to clean it up if she asked for it, for her, was still a novelty.

Yona saw Ren sitting relaxedly in one of the zabuton in the suite living room. The sunlight seeping through from the balcony casted a golden glow on him making him look even more angel-like. She sighed internally. She'd kill for a view like that every single morning.

She shook her head at that random thought and proceeded to call out to him.

"I'm all set. Where shall we go first?"

Yona asked with her voice slightly tinged with excitement. She saw Ren stood up from his seat and stepped towards her.

"About that, Miss Wo--"

She frowned at his formal way of address. This was a vacation. Yona didn't need her companion to act like a subordinate. She already has a lot of those at home. So before he even finished, she cut him off.

"Yona. Just call me Yona. And I'll call you Ren. I know it's not exactly conforming to your culture. But could you accomodate me in this? I'd hate it if you're too formal. It's too uptight and uncomfortable. Not to mention awkward. Is that okay?"

Ren looked a bit stupefied at her. But then a small smile appeared in his lips, illuminating his entire sinful face. It stunned Yona for a bit before lamenting Ren's ability to turn a small smile like that deadly.

"If you prefer it that way, it's alright with me. So about our itinerary. I actually wanted to ask if you have specific places you want to go or things you want to do."

Yona assented to his words before taking out a little notebook where she wrote her bucket list. She gave the notebook to Ren so he could peruse it.

1. Gaze at Cherry Blossoms

2. Stroll through Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

3. Visit Tokyo Disneyland

4. Visit Studio Ghibli Museum

5. Explore the Tsukiji Market

6. Stay in a Ryokan

7. Hike Mount Fuji

8. Take a bath in an Onsen

....

Yona's bucket list was undoubtedly long. It contained all the activities she found to be interesting in her searches. It was understandable that Ren took a while to read it. Though his expression turned a bit uneasy, his brows furrowing. After a few more minutes looking up her list, Ren finally looked up.

"There's a lot of things here. Some would even require us to travel by plane. For now, let's do everything that can be done here in Tokyo. We can go to the Imperial palace, then visit the Senso-ji or Meiji shrines. But the first thing in your bucket list is the hanami* so we can do that first. We can take a stroll at Naka-Meguro and have breakfast then we'll take the rest from there."

Yona rattled her head, nodding with a slight smile at the fully focused man. Bloody hell, he's really too much of an eyecandy even just standing there and talking. The injustice of it all.

"You're the tour guide here. Take me to where you think is best."

Ren gave her a dazzling smirk. Yona was lightning-struck.

'Oh gods, little brother! Don't go smirking at me like that! This heiress' heart here is weak against such a pretty face. You're going to turn me into a criminal!'
