I woke up quite late, around ten in the morning, since it was Sunday. I stretched my body and went to the kitchen to make a coffee. I sipped my morning coffee like the lady I am while opening the window to watch the morning sunrise.

What was my morning view? Well, that cleaning service uncle down there, and that park cleaner uncle. Also, few aunties selling food with their bicycle or motorcycle.

It was such a good day until that notification came:

'Ding! Ding! Limited offer from Rent A Boyfriend App! Hire your favourite service now for free!'

'Ding! Ding! This is one in a lifetime chance! Hire your one and only favourite service to win a gold prize of having many free dates with your rental boyfriend!'

'Ding! Ding!'

"Okay, I get it!" I took my phone and opened the Rent A Boyfriend application. There was a long notification since last night. I thought the problem about my account, who could only pick Meng Bao as my rental boyfriend, had been solved.

But when I checked again, there was still one rental boyfriend that I could hire, and that person was,

Your Meng Bao.

"Leave me alone, Meng Bao! I need a boyfriend to meet my parents!" I yelled at Meng Bao's profile page. I closed the application and decided to just use other similar rental boyfriend applications.

"Hah, do you think you are the only rental boyfriend application? I have plenty!" I said proudly to myself. I opened the first Rent A Boyfriend copycat,

Your Rental Boyfriend.

The application was loading on my old phone, but suddenly, when I was about to register a new account, a pop up appeared on my screen,

"What?!" I thought I saw this wrong. What was the chance of the copycat app to get taken down by the real one? "Huh, I guess I can try another one."

I opened the second Rent A Boyfriend copycat, then I found the exact same thing.

My heart skipped for a second. Since the first and the second copycat applications had been copyrighted, could it be…

I opened all rental boyfriend applications, and all of them had been copyrighted by Rent A Boyfriend app.

I threw my phone on the bed out of frustration, "WHO THE HECK HAS SO MUCH MONEY TO PURCHASE EVERYTHING?!"

'Ding! Ding! What are you waiting for? Do you think you have a choice? Rent A Boyfriend is the only application for a trusted rental boyfriend who will never break your heart! Order now, or you will regret it!'

I rolled my eyes when I heard that notification again. I opened the application review in the app store. Out of annoyance, I gave the application a one star review:

*Bad application! I only have one rental boyfriend to pick! The customer service is trash! Don't install this app!*

After writing it, I clicked uninstall button for the Rent A Boyfriend app. But strangely, the application couldn't be uninstalled! No matter how much I tried to press uninstall, it didn't respond, and the application stayed on my phone!

'Ding! Ding! Do not uninstall this application! Rent A Boyfriend is your only place to rent a boyfriend!'

The more I heard this random notification from Rent A Boyfriend app, the more I got creeped out by it. It felt like… there was someone behind this Rent A Boyfriend app that specifically targeted me.

"Ugh, I really don't want to take Meng Bao, but I have no more time to find another man…"

I unwillingly opened the Rent A Boyfriend app and found Meng Bao as my only choice. I sighed and pressed order and then check out. Although I didn't have to pay for anything since Meng Bao's service was free, I still felt defeated somehow.

'Ding! Ding! Thank you for your purchase. Your rental boyfriend will surely feel appreciated for your order!'

The staffs who handled Rent A Boyfriend app just sipped their fifth coffee. They were forced to stay the whole night up to ten in the morning by their boss, Jiang Jinxing.

They were forced to keep their eyes on this girl named Shi Ying and make sure that he finally checked out the order.

They thought this would be the day they would be buried after being overworked until they heard a loud notification from the main computer.

'DING! THE ORDER HAS BEEN ACCEPTED! ORDER HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!'

All of them hollered out of joy. They hugged each other as if they had accomplished something extraordinary.

"WE DID IT, GUYS!"

"Thank you, Buddha! Thank you, Buddha! We are not dead today!" they hugged each other with tears in their eyes.

[Yang Menghuo POV]

Yang Menghuo didn't have a good sleep today. In fact, he only slept for three hours the whole night and woke up to check the Rent A Boyfriend app. He still couldn't believe that Ying Jie hadn't ordered his service yet.

Until he got that notification for the second time.

'Ding Ding Ding, a new order for your date! Go grab their money!'

Yang Menghuo felt his blood rushing up again. He immediately checked the application and saw that Ying Jie had ordered his service for the second time. He jumped out of excitement and joy.

"Yes! He ordered me again! We can finally meet her—"

Menghuo paused when he suddenly realized how stupid he must be right now. He got overexcited for Ying Jie, who dumped him.

'Yeah, why did I get so excited anyway?' Yang Menghuo pondered. He sat on the sofa again and cleared his throat.

"Hm, well, you seem so desperate to find a rental boyfriend to meet your parents. I guess I can help you, Ying Jie." Menghuo said high and mighty, and he accepted the order.
