14 Sensei

Kakashi looks at his newest prospective team of twelve year old ninja with a single fish eye.

However, unlike all of his other prospective teams, he is still not able to understand them completely with their files and a single look. However, it was not the boys who gave him trouble.

Naruto's personality is exactly like his mother's, except instead of unpredictable female fury, he has his own predictable male pride.

Sasuke is also an open book to him, many would see the similarities between them but underneath that they were actually very different. He had been completely obsessed with following the rules in order to not make the same mistakes, as he thought of it, as his father. Sasuke is just obsessed with killing his brother, not fixing perceived mistakes, but revenge instead. Sasuke would not mind making the same mistakes if it allowed him to kill his brother, that is the difference between them.

Kakashi became as good as he is because he deeply fears making mistakes and still does. Especially with keeping his people alive. Sasuke is not actually like him at all.

It was their teammate, the pink girl, who was troublesome.

On the surface, she should be the easiest to understand, a intelligent civilian born whose parents are trying to pretend, poorly, that they don't hate all ninja, that is all. Looking underneath that you would find how much hard work she puts in to be the kunoichi of the year and the great focus to become a ninja she had to have to beat two of Konoha's strongest clans' heiresses, all this against her parents own desires. However, underneath even that you find something very unique.

In her record, she is listed as having a great fuinjutsu talent, not just a learned skill in it.

As far as Kasashi knows, and he has access to a lot of classified material, Konoha has never had someone with a great talent in fuinjutsu.

The first person who comes to mind in Konoha for fuinjutsu is his very own sensei, but what many would never know is that he was listed as a ninjutsu talent as a genin not a fuinjutsu one. He later earn his skill in that field through hard work and his shear brilliance.

The next person would be Jiraiya, but again he was the same as his student, a ninjutsu talent who worked hard for fuinjutsu.

Every single fuinjutsu user Konoha has ever had, even Kushina Uzumaki, learned the skill rather than had a talent for it. It is generally not considered something one can even have a talent for, except for maybe the Uzumaki who created their family's seals in the first place, thousands of years ago, and maybe not even them.

Which leads him to his current dilemma.

He has no idea how to test her for it in a combat test.

It is not like he could look at what she can do with it because the academy never teaches any fuinjutsu not even to the most talented, it is something taught as a genin and beyond, because to learn it you need to have a teacher always looking over your shoulder to keep yourself from exploding.

If she was only listed as a genjutsu type, he could throw a very low level genjutsu at her then use harder and harder genjutsu until she could not keep up. If she did well, then she would definitely actually have a talent for it and not just a mark on a paper that says so. If she proved talented in it he could teach her, assuming that she actually passed his test, not that she will.

However, while she is indeed listed as a genjutsu type, she is primarily listed as a fuinjutsu talent.

He always has to perfectly test his perspective students based on their reports, because he must have an undeniable reason to fail his assigned team, others can be sloppy with it, but not him. He still has shivers from the memory of when the Hokage gave him a talk the first time he failed a team without a good enough reason.

The last thing he wants to do is talk about his feelings... With anyone... Ever... Let alone having to do so with the Hokage. And he just knows that there will be a talk in his future if he fails this team of all teams without the reasons for their failing being 100% perfect. Now, he just hopes that they do fail completely, if not he might just have to pass them and be stuck with them until they become chunin. Anything would be better than having another talk.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I like instant ramen in a cup, and I really like the ramen Iruka Sensei got me at the Ichiraku Noodle Shop, but I hate the three minutes you have to wait after you pour the water in the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them, and my future dream is to be the greatest Hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody. Somebody important!" The blond introduces tugging on his forehead protector.

'Well... he's grown up in a very interesting way...' Kakashi thinks, 'This is even worse than I thought before.'

"I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like is…" Then she looks at Sasuke and blushes, "Learning! Yes, learning new things. My hobby is... Training? I guess... Oh, and hanging out with Ino. My dream is that I will become the greatest kunoichi there is and I will make it happen, not just brag about it." The pinket introduces.

"And what do you hate?" Kakashi questions.

"Naruto! Especially lately!" She shouts and thinks to herself, 'Recently, Naruto changed from being an annoying problem to MY annoying problem! He won't stop bothering me.'

Naruto looks crushed.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan... and kill a certain someone." The raven introduces.

"Well... you are all interesting people with interesting dreams." Kakashi lies.

Well... the introduction certainly didn't help him decide on her test.

He already had the whole test planned out for the two boys even before seeing them, there is no way they will pass, because for their last chance at passing he plans to have Sasuke have to pass food to Naruto after he had literally just told them that they need teamwork to pass, but there is no way Sasuke would ever do so, he would naturally try to keep as much strength to himself as possible.

Oh, it's going to be fun.

However, for Sakura it looks like he might just have to get out there and see for himself before he comes up with the perfect test, until then he will just have to go forward with his genjutsu test first.

She is still listed as minor genjutsu specialist after all.
