The Cafeteria Brawl [3]

The fight had only just begun.

Ren now steadied himself again, his heart pounding as Yuto charged again. This time, Yuto aimed a bag of punches at Ren's torso. Ren blocked and parried, feeling the sting of each impact reverberate through his arms. He countered with a swift jab to Yuto's chin, followed by a hook to the ribs. Yuto grunted but didn't back down, his eyes burning with rage.

A student who had been trying to escape the chaos in the cafeteria stumbled into Ren's path, unaware of the brewing storm between the two.

Ren reacted instinctively, pushing the student to the side just as Yuto's fist came crashing down. The punch missed Ren but it hit the unfortunate student, sending him flying into a stack of chairs.

Ren used this moment of distraction to land a solid kick to Yuto's shin, causing him to falter.

Yuto growled, grabbing a nearby table like a piece of cake and flinging it towards Ren. Ren dove to the side, rolling to his feet and grabbing a metal tray from the floor. He hurled it at Yuto like a projectile, hitting him square in the face. Yuto roared, wiping blood from his nose, and lunged at Ren.

Their fists collided once more, a testament to their raw power. The surrounding chaos of the cafeteria seemed to have calmed down abit, leaving only the two warriors locked their brutal contest of strength, neither willing to back down and accept defeat.

"You know nothing! Outsider. " Yuto began.

"Show some respect to Sakurakai, or you'll face the consequences."

"Yeah yeah yeah, you keep repeating that. "

"Are you that dumb or something? " Ren taunted as he backed away from Yuto's relentless punches.

Amidst his laughter, Ren became a bit too complacent and made no notice to some spilled food on the cafeteria floor. Suddenly, he slipped on it, completely throwing him off balance.

Yuto saw the perfect opportunity and went in for a finishing punch. "All that talk and no bark!. "

The fight seemed to be all but over, with Yuto as the clear and outright victor.

"Shit... I lost," Ren realized his fate.

Then, something really really weird happened.

The view shifted to Ren's perspective as he fell in slow motion. He closed his eyes, readying himself for the impending punch but when he opened them, he found himself standing upright in a fighting stance and not falling as he should have been.

"You know nothing! Outsider. "

"Show some respect to Sakurakai, or you'll face the consequences." Yuto yelled again.

"Huh? But you've said that already," Ren wondered, noticing himself backing off just like before.

Ren slipped again, as everything played out exactly the same. But this time, almost instinctively, as if his body had already adjusted to the near fall, he managed to balance himself with his left arm and used his legs to whip Yuto right underneath the chin, kicking him away.

Ren wondered what had just happened, but a furious roar from Yuto snapped him back to reality.

Yuto rose to his feet, his nose bloody. He wiped it off with a furious swipe.

"Don't you give up man?!. " Ren was amazed at how Yuto kept coming back no matter the countless times he blew him away.

"I am getting kinda tired of this. "

Both Ren and Yuto simultaneously grabbed broken pieces of wood from the shattered tables nearby and charged at each other with fierce determination.

Just as the makeshift weapons were about to collide, they were stopped abruptly by a screeching, deafening sound.

"Bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzz. "

rang throughout the cafeteria stopping everyone dead in their tracks.

"Moshi Moshi… " A male voice crackled through the aircom.

"Hello... Hello. "

"Mic test... Mic check..."

"Hello... Hello. "

"Mic test... Mic check…"

"Wowww there are a lot of shiny buttons here, which button was it again?"

"Wait, you mean it's already on?"

"You should tell me that, jeez!"

"I did tell you. " Another voice shot back.

"What the hell! You obviously didn't, man. "

"Oh well. Hey, you first-year brats! and trouble makers. "

"And… beautiful ladies, welcome to our beautiful new school for the next three years. "

"Tone it down, idiot! Your voice is already loud enough. "

"Huh? No way! I mean, this is my first speech. I have to make it count. "

"Your regular voice… your regular voice is already loud! and obnoxious enough!. "

"We will be getting a lot of complaints from the teachers and even off-campus. "

"Yo, who the hell are those guys?. " Ren sounded puzzled, confused by the sudden interruption.

The fight, which had just begun to get interesting to him, was abruptly halted. The entire cafeteria, which had been a battlefield moments before, fell into a tense silence.

"What could they possibly want now?. " Ren wondered aloud.

"Aight, let's keep going.

"Hey? Mad Dog. " He went into another battle pose.

"What the hell?!. " Ren finally noticed.

No one.. absolutely no one was fighting anymore. The entire cafeteria, which had been chaotic just seconds ago, was now eerily quiet, every eye turned towards the source of the voice.

"Who the hell is that?" Ren was shocked by this sudden turn of events.

"Well... then let's get back into this. " The voice joked.

"I am Fujimoto Hasegawa. " He announced.

"So this is the guy... this is the top ... the strongest guy in the whole of Sakurakai. " Ren whispered, finally understanding the gravity of the situation.

The voice continued, authoritative and commanding, cutting through the tension like butter.

"Respect is earned, not given. Show some respect to Sakurakai, or you'll face the dire consequences. "

Ren's grip on the broken piece of wood tightened.

He knew this was only the beginning of his journey in this school, and he was more determined than ever to prove himself.

Ren vs Yuto is interrupted! by The Strongest!?
