Vol 1 Chapter 1

Jack woke up being embraced by the warm arms of an unknown cinnamon skinned woman, the warmth of her skin was comforting, for Jack it was uncomfortable to be surrounded by the giant arms of the lady, the woman looked anxiously at the infant, their eyes met, both dark brown without a hint of shiny shine in their structure, he noticed her hands, those of a small boy, soft and smooth, doubts began to fill his mind, remembering the moments before arriving to the current situation.

K: You should cry don't you think, you are worrying her.

The voice of one of the three beings that asked him to accept a deal spoke from his finger, on it like a birthmark resembling an eye watching him from, a deep abyss.

Jack tried to speak, he seemed to lose control and the cry came out of his mouth strings, the joy on the woman's face was palpable with tears streaming down her face.

In his mind the woman's face reminded him of his mother's, that joy he hadn't seen in years.

K: When you sleep it will be time to talk, until then get used to it.

That deep chasm in his index finger disappeared, after those words were given.

Jack was lulled by the woman until his new body gave in to sleep.

As if in a dream, Jack woke up in what looked like an empty bookstore, it stretched into infinity, he walked for a few seconds.

K: Well, that took you long, boy.

Jack looked to where the voice was coming from, a tall man with whitish hair and deep blue eyes surrounded by tiny sparkles was standing in a white suit with little gold sparkles that seemed to be worth more than anything in the world.

Jack: Who are you, where am I, what the hell is going on?!

K: Calm down, why are you so confused, don't you remember the deal you agreed to?

Jack thought about everything that happened before he woke up in the woman's arms.

K: You don't remember the details,Well I'll make it easy for you,! You're our slave.

Before he finished saying his sentence a woman with hair as dark as the starless firmament, with eyes like emeralds and a dress that seemed to consume the Light of the whole world hit him on the head hard.

D: What are you trying to do, you want to make us disappear.

The whitish-haired man rubbed his head gingerly and then replied.

K: Of course not,it would have served us better if he thought he was a slave,we wouldn't have to worry.so much about his will.

As if noticing the presence of deep red eyes boring into his back they both turned.

The woman walked towards Jack in the whitest and most worn dress she had ever seen, her hair was as bright blonde and yet as unkempt as the sun, and her face showed only weariness reflected in it.

L: I'm sorry for this pitiful spectacle, are you all right?

Jack, who had just been watching the discussion between the beings that began to appear in the middle of the library, said in a calm voice.

Jack: Can you tell me who they are?

The woman smiled a little and spoke.

Life: I am the concept of life, the white idiot is knowledge and the screaming woman with black hair is death.

Jack looked at each one looking for some sign of divinity like the angels he saw in the tunnel or of power like the demons in the eternal fire.

Knowledge reading his thought said.

Knowledge: Hey don't compare us to those simple pawns, they could drop like flies if-.

Death gave him another blow on the head that seemed to have fainted poor Knowledge.

Death: Don't be conceited, we barely escaped.

Death cleared his throat and addressed his words to Jack.

Death: First of all I must thank you, you are the only one who has accepted the deal after millennia, Jack we are one of the few mistakes of the god of our land, if you want me to explain it to you in detail we can do it now there is no hurry.

In the face of death, gratitude was shown.

Life: I think it's better if I explain it to him, he needs a little assistance you don't think so.

Life pointed to knowledge fainted on the ground, death drew near and dragged him from his legs until they were lost in the depths of the library.

Jack looked at the scene with some grace, life came up and said.

Life: You would like to take a walk.

Gazing with a kind smile at Jack, the man glanced around him only to see empty shelves, he replied.

Jack: Okay, but can you answer my questions?

Life released a small laugh and a sigh of tiredness and said.

Life: You're a little distracted.

Life offered Jack's hand, he thought for a moment and took it as soon as the plane changed.

Strange trees, flowers of impossible colors and shapes, pasture that seemed to turn into bricks making a path to a small chapel with a table and six chairs.

Life made a movement of its hand and in an instant one of the chairs turned to dust.

Jack was surprised by the woman's reaction, and she backed back a little by reflex.

Life: Don't worry, it's just that I still don't learn to put the past behind me.

Life smiled and path taken by Jack's hand, being at the table is pointing him to his seat.

Jack sat still with doubts and uncertainty decided to follow the beings that were called concepts.

Life took so

to the center chair, facing in front of Jack said.

Life: Jack, what do you want to know?
