52 Three Weeks

Kimi recieved some extra rewards upon reaching Cerulean City and began putting up her latest captures up for sale or trade during the time that she and her father were moving into their new house.

The new house had a bigger pond that the previous one which allowed for the Feebas to be put inside.

There was a need for Kimi to spend some time rooted to one place where she could go over her gains and her future plans so she was either busy exercising and meditating or was fishing with Misty.

If she was not doing those things then Kimi was building her relationships with her Pokémon and silently training them by making them fight among themselves.

A lot of her attention was on the many Feebas and shining their scales everyday while paying them compliments on their beauty while applying a thin layer of metal coat to Scyther.

Three weeks passed by quickly and her main team had not grown much due to them not gaining further challenges but it allowed those that were behind to catch up a little.

Kimi mainly focussed on letting her dark identity team catch up to her main one while those that were lower had a slight chance to catch up among her main team so those that achieved the most growth were Scyther and Grimer while her main team had Growlithe, Poliwag and Espeon reach closer to the others at around level twenty.

Happini became a regular that was left out of its Luxury Ball when Kimi let Espeon and Growlithe out which had shown the importance it had compared to the others and how she wished to build up the relationship with it.

Among the many illegally owned Pokémon that were obtained, they were switched into normal Pokéballs and sold after finding a buyer on the forums to obtain more funds.

The Ditto were kept within the illegal Pokéballs and Kimi spent a little time trying to see which were more talented with their transformation and mimic others.

Unfortunately they had yet to form a perfect face so they could not accurately play the role of Kimi yet unless they wore sunglasses when they were in front of others.

Following the desire to increase the chances of more Feebas breeding, the Ditto were given the temporary role of staying among the Feebas in the pool.

One extra bonus that Kimi found was that Happini knew the move Heal Bell which could remove status effects so it was much more useful for its role as a healer or support.

The talent of Happini was yellow upon having it examined so its growth had allowed it to surpass level ten during that time and with the continued care, it had grown closer to Kimi.

The Oval Stone that it had in its pouch was an indicator that it could evolve at any time during the day so Kimi paid more attention to keep it out during the day when she could to increase the chances of it evolving.

Kimi would occasionally make some trips out of the city to take on some basic clean up tasks while trying to find some additions to her dark team.

Her dark team only had Scyther and Grimer so it was very lacking compared to her main team but she was still uncertain how she would fill up those roles for a temporary or permanent placement.

Grimer had achieved the most growth in terms of talent and levels due to it being fed with its defeated opponents so it was the best among her dark team but still fell behind Scyther when it came to speed and its ability to fight on land or in the air.

It was just an ordinary night when Kimi travelled around Cerulean City and made some trips around different routes around it like she had done many times before.

There was the ocasional time that Kimi travelled out a little further closer to the nearby cities so there was more of a variety of Pokémon for her to battle.

The amount of registered Pokémon in her Pokédex had grown due to her catching many of them before selling them but she still caught many more legally or illegally.

The most recent catch that had the best talent among them and complemented her dark team was fighting alongside Scyther and Grimer.

It was a small four legged creature that had large, spiny ears, oversized front teeth, red eyes and a pair of whiskers on each cheek.

It was light blue with several darker blue spots, there were two white claws on each of its paws, the back was covered with small toxic spines and it had a small horn on its forehead.

For her dark team, Kimi wished to prioritise more types that suited that role or those that possessed special talents.

The female Nidoran was a better and more balanced option than the male version once it reached its full potential and evolution while it could play the role of an allrounder in her dark team.

There was an additional factor that let her choose the female version over the male and that was just due to her having a preference for female Pokémon.

Nidoran was a recent catch of Kimi so it did not have as long as the others to grow and make use of its talents that had been identified using a kit that had been made by Kimi from her experience during her previous life.

The kits were breeder talent kits to better identify each of the talents of the Pokémon and a single drop of blood, saliva or a hair dropped inside the solution would change colour based on the talent of them.

It was not one hundred percent accurate compared to a specialised tool that could better identify the talents but it did identify the colour it changed to that matched the colour code of the talents used to identify them so they were easy to use for beginners.

One thing that a qualified breeder needed was a way to use a cheaper method to identify the talents among the Pokémon so they could better choose the best among them to breed.

Kimi had learned how to make them from a breeder in her previous life but was lacking in materials so she had to trust that the illegal Pokémon she gained were as they had been sold as.

Once the kit had been completed, Kimi was able to test them out and better identify the talents of what she caught that she did not wish to be publicly tested and put on any system.

Nidoran was the most talented among the many Nidoran she had come across, both male and female Nidoran were found to have very low talents while only a select few were slightly better and the one she caught later had a yellow talent.

It was faster than Grimer so it did not always have to play the role of a wall or guard to get in between others once they had both evolved and in its smaller state, it could be useful due to its smaller size and close or ranged combat poison moves and it had been discovered that it possessed a talent that had a chance to poison others once it made contact with them called poison point.

There could be many much better options available from her region or others to fill the role that Growlithe took on in her main team but if it was raised well enough to improve its talents upon evolving twice, it could become a useful addition to her dark team.

There were some other options a available from those she captured like Jigglypuff but the ones she captured were lacking in talent.

There had briefly been an idea to use one to send others into a deep sleep to allow better infiltration into places for stealing and assassination tasks but she had no plans for taking such tasks and would not take such a task in the future if it involved innocent people.

It would be easy for smart people to connect her completed missions with each time people fell asleep if Jigglypuff was used that way and it would soon become her calling card that would help them identify when she was on tasks and where she was during those times.

Soon her movements would be tracked on a map to show the dates, times and movements to help narrow down her possible identity that was somewhere near those places or were travelling that route at those times.

Those coincidences would pile up until there would be someone that would begin to suspect Kimi and it would make it more difficult to carry out missions or make use of her planned use of Ditto.

Old P had warned her that it was wise to not just use one identity and appearance during certain missions so she her dark persona could not be so easily identified and tracked so easily.

Old P had went through multiple identities and there were many times when he had to discard one when others started to take notice of it.

Nidoran ran forward in the dark environment and jumped up into the air before stabbing her horn into it, a Mankey was hit by the poison sting and stumbled backwards.

It was caught off guard and was hit in the middle of its chest then was left enraged once it had recovered.

The only issue was that the opponent of it dropped down into the long grass and disappeared.

It started thrashing around blindly until another horn was hit in its back and the sound followed as Nidoran landed then disappeared back into the long grass.

Nidoran continued to run away to gain some distance and occasionally circled around which caused the long grass to rustle occasionally.

It was still very inexperienced and was not that stealthy but Nidoran was able to avoid any attacked towards its location from Mankey.

Its movements were becoming weaker as it was thrashing around and wasting energy when it was poisoned.

Another poison sting had come again once it let its guard down, it eventually dropped down to its knees and a Pokéball captured it.

Kimi stepped out from behind a tree nearby wearing her mask and clothing suited for her identity as Luci.

Her voice was not the same as before and it seemed to have been changed to sound a little deeper. "Well done."
