Renegade Jenny (Pokemon Fanfic)

Policewoman dies upholding her values that have been passed on by her mentor and is reincarnated in the world of Pokémon with no cheats and knowledge of the games or anime but even that had not been that helpful to her in her new duties. After many losses of her Pokémon, many injuries and finally a death, she somehow finds herself back to the time of the officer exams where she received her first Pokémon. Twice engulfed in flames, twice dying for the cause and facing hardships but before her second death, she declared. ‘No more! If I survive this then I will no longer live like this!’ When she awoke, she decided to no longer stick to her principles that were taught to her by her mentor as it only brought her pain and she did not receive what she had earned through her self sacrifice. I do not claim to own Pokémon, its plot or characters but there are some changes I may make to the original story and add my own characters. Growlithe’s Determination

The result of the use of Fake-Out could be easily predicted by just about anyone and so could the end result of the battle but it had continued to go on.

It was the best choice move to use from the beginning due to its effects to use the first move to make the opponent flinch but the level difference had made it less effective and damaging to Growlithe.

Growlithe had initially been told to go easy on Tyrogue so she had stood there to take the hit then was momentarily made to flinch but she had quickly regained her bearings and used Bite.

Her mouth opened wide and her sharp teeth went towards Tyrogue who had been instructed by Kimi in advance. "Growlithe!"

The speed of Growlithe was just much too fast for Tyrogue to fully avoid being harmed during its attempts to avoid it. "Tyrogue!"

Tyrogue had a part of its body scraped with the teeth of Growlithe as it had pulled away just in time for it to keep itself free from the strong jaws of her.

The huge difference in power and abilities had only made Tyrogue more determined to fight harder so he ran forward to lunged towards Growlithe.

Using tackle had let him get close to Growlithe and would usually be used to hurt or bring down different sized opponents but he had barely managed to touch Growlithe who had already learned from her mistakes.

The speed of Tyrogue was still much too slow compared to herself so she could avoid the oncoming attacks with ease so she had avoided further damage each time the same scene repeated itself.

There were several times where Tyrogue believed it was very close to touching its opponent but was met with disappointment as it missed and fell to the ground.

Growlithe had moved to a distance and started to stick out her tongue towards Tyrogue. "Growl! Growlithe!"

it was like she was playing with and taunting him which had resulted in Tyrogue getting back up.

Kimi was watching the scene and sighed. 'If Tyrogue had been a little higher level then this may have been a big problem for her.'

It was never good to provoke a Tyrogue when they were taking the battle very seriously and giving their all.

It would not give up until it had tried absolutely everything and used every ounce of energy that it had before it would ever consider giving in to even a stronger opponent.

Seeing that his opponent was looking down on him, Tyrogue got back up with some difficulty then ran towards Growlithe once more to tackle her.

Many close calls followed as he continued to miss Growlithe and he was bitten by her.

He panted heavily and wobbled around but stopped himself in place to try to get himself back into a better state but Growlithe had jumped over and bit down onto him.

His shoulder was bit down on and he was brought down to the ground by Growlithe as she had used her bodies weight to increase the force that he fell down towards the ground. "Ty.."

Growlithe held onto Tyrogue as she continued to bite down and used her body to increase the weight on him to hold him down until his struggled started to become weaker.

He finally stopped moving and seemed to have fainted so Kimi pointed her Pokéball towards him. "Return."

His body turned into light as he was sucked back into the Pokéball and Koichi at the side had waved his hand towards Growlithe. "The winner, Growlithe!"

Growlithe raised her hear up proudly towards the sky. "Growlithe!"

It was like she was telling herself and others that she was the best and that she should be praised more.

Growlithe turned her her towards Kimi with sparkling eyes. "Growlithe!"

Kimi let out a sigh. "Yes.. you won and you did well holding yourself back a little. You could still use some improvement but you earned your rewards."

Kimi turned towards Koichi and bowed. "I will be going for the day, I need to tend to Tyrogues wounds and prepare a training regiment for him."

She knew that the defeat would weigh heavily on the heart of Tyrogue and it would need the best environment where it could train seriously to overcome its weakness.

Kimi waved her hand to tell Growlithe to follow her. "You just made yourself a small rival today. As the elder sister.. it is your duty to be a strong role model. Work hard so that he or others do not surpass you one day."

There was a small grin on the face of KImi as she could sense the determination that had formed within Growlithe.

Normally Growlithe did not take much interest towards others she was battling unless they were very difficult to fight against so it was natural for her to get a little bigheaded or to underestimate others.

Tyrogue had kept persisting through the battle and refused to go down so it had shown her where she was lacking and how much others could be a threat to her when she did not have the guidance of Kimi.

If there was one small mistake made in her movements then she may have gotten caught several times and it was unlikely that she would have been able to persist as long during an exchange of moves when they were both at similar levels.

It was kind of annoying and scary at the same time to have such an opponent like Tyrogue due to it not backing down to those stronger than it and not not giving up until it had fainted, if anyone was a little careless or let that get to them then Tyrogue may have been able to turn the tables back on whoever it was fighting and Growlithe had to face that head on.

It was a way to humble her but it had an excellent effect on letting her realise that she was still lacking in many ways and could still improve herself.

Upon returning to her home, Kimi started drawing up a better training plan for Tyrogue and others to follow while she had taken out several ingredients to prepare some medicines.

After treating Tyrogue and letting it get a little time to recover, she had prepared many kinds of treats like Pokéblocks for each of the Pokémon that were with her.

Her back yard had been very active for several days that had followed where she and her Pokémon had trained regularly while making some trips to the Karate Dojo with Tyrogue and Growlithe.

Her relationship with Mitsuwa was slowly developing since they had been on speaking terms and trained together during her time there but it was not at the stage where they could be considered as friends quite yet.

Kimi was beginning to settle in a little more into Saffron City but she had suddenly got a call. "Hm? What is it?"
