My review of the novel (so that QI can't censor this review for "no review content"). This novel is one of my favorite novels, great MC, great story, great humor. ***TRANSLATION STOLEN FROM WUXIAWORLD. DON'T READ HERE. GO TO WUXIAWORLD*** Everytime Qidian tries to censor me, I'm just gonna come back stronger, so fu qidian for trying to censor the truth. I'm pissed that QI would dare dirty this novel with their pathetic schemes and disgusting moves. They stole the translations from WW (as is plenty obvious now lol). I'm insulted and incensed that they would think us readers were stupid enough to believe them saying that they reached an agreement with wuxiaworld. I hope us readers can band together against this bs QI. Keep censoring me QI, I'll be back stronger t(-.-)

WW community I know you're angry, I know you're maddened because QI deliberately posting WW novel on their site or so they said, but please don't blame it on the said novel rating it's hardwork of the Translator and author. you should rate it without any bias like 'this stuff is posted on qidian' or stolen or something else. What you rate are the novel and the Translation not the QI.

One of the best Xianxia ever written. In other xianxia/xuanhuan novels, you will always find MC's luck ridiculous and never meet a setback. But here you will see how hard Wang Lin's efforts in the cultivation world and how he struggles. Some people say mc is too vicious, heartless, etc. it's because author tried to make a very complex character. And he actually changes, yes he CHANGES. I won't tell you how he changes, But I promise you it will be very touching. And this is not you typical xianxia where mc go here--->offend this young master--->kill--->get women--->repeat 10/10 for the character development

this novel is a masterpiece, it made me cry. its not your usual plot armor novel, it really make feel to be in a true cultivation world. love it, love the mc. pitiful but good mc.........

Very good novel since it's from Er Gen ;) If u like RI, you should read ISSTH too :) By choice, i'm reading it on Wuxiaworld, but i'm here to recommend this novel :)

I love to read Renegade Immortal; it just really feels like a true cultivation story. I think that's because this is one of the very few in Chinese fantasy that has a character that has developed into a weathered and introspective old monster over the progression of the story. The brutality of the world is well described, with corpse sects running amok and old ancient legacies of gods, demons, and devils present. It all sets up for good fantasy. Throw in where cultivation inspired introspection is written down and not simply referred to as "closed-door training." This is a great read!

The light novel is great however the romance is absolutely horrible. Are you telling me any woman who stays with the mc for a few years and comes to like him will suddenly become the mc’s ‘dao heart’ and ‘taboo for any enemies to speak her name’????? Wtf is this I thought the mc is a ruthless mc not a softhearted guy who can’t bear to leave a woman just because she likes him and got Stockholm syndrome. The only reason she became the mc’s girlfriend is because it’ll be really pitiful if she doesn’t. The only thing she does for the mc is to make pills but still schemes against him. The mc is supposedly ruthless so why didn’t he just turn her into a puppet after all the times she tries to kill him and ends up ‘being more important than his own life’ since she comes to like him, why does he have a love life anyways if he’s so ruthless, he’ll just end up getting a burden. I like how his girlfriend has no unique qualities and has done barely anything for him. The author is absolutely horrible at creating romance, pretty much like his other light novels.

I'm slightly annoyed about the Wuxiaworld people complaining here. I don't know much about either site but I'd just like to put it out there that this novel came from the Chinese Qidian site first, and the the Wuxiaworld people took it and translated it (and who knows whether they got permission). So I think that Qidian international have a partial right to take it from wuxiaworld and post it here, because the work originally came from them, although perhaps they should credit the original translator.

Honestly after reading this novel other CN's just seamed bland. Really loved this book, it had me laughing, crying and whole other emotions. It was really good to the point I had slight depression after I finished it. Highly Recommend to Tead this

Its so bad. No but really. First of all it is really slow. And even til chapter 110 he only has 1 skill. You hear me, 1 skill. Mc is really naive, ignoring his masters opinion etc. He has no guts, it’s like when people humilated him, he just smiles and ignore it. No grudge or anything. In other words a p**sy. He died and takes over a ugly person. Then joins a sect and learns alchemy. Yeah alchemy the most boring thing in every cultiavrion novel. I read this because some people said it’s good but don’t waste your time. They say read til chapter 200, because that’s when it’s gonna be good. You fr rn? Read 200 chapters with no plot, a mc with no guts, 1 skill, a ugly body, alchemy and slow pace.

I have read over 100 chapters, which maybe a-lot or maybe its not that much, but I can only say, "What a waste of time!". The writing is quite poor, the plot is not very rational many-a-times, and it feels very contrived, especially the tension and conflict. Very disappointed, of what I've read from Er Gen, this and ISSTH have similar problems, while his only novel I enjoyed is AWE and thats because of the early part of the story basically up until the end of the Night-crypt arc and Bai Xioachun as a main character. All of his novels have problems but AWE is much more lighthearted so I don't care as much, however this novel is not like that which only adds to make me feel even more annoyed. Basically reading this is an exercise in self-mutilation.

Im not saying anything like qidian vs ww. What im saying is that, I like the way you can read in qidian with the comment system and constant scrolling like its one big chapter. So, Ill just read everything here, and finish the rest of the chapters on WW.

Where are the updates? I really want to continue reading this novel but there are no new chapters. Does anyone know why there are no new chapters for this novel?

Please get a translator to come and translate these novels!! I read this a long while ago and I would really like to catch up on the new chapters!!

excellent novel. Translation is really good and update regularly. I love the story but the side character development suck. The world however is well thought and interesting. The only problem i see in this novel is the way martial skills handled, its confusing and repeating the same thing over and over with just difference name and slight change in apparent, ex: grey gas, purple gas, pink gas, black gas, rainbow gas, blue gas, diesel, white gas, green gas, azure gas, etc...

Too much Plot Armour! MC has a personality disorder (He doesn't think of consequences before taking his decisions, As for my remark, you'll know once you've read it completely.) Waste of a romance...(Seriously? Why is there a romance in this novel? He is a ruthless heaven-defying cultivator, and in my opinion, his heart is just too soft...) Again, Why does he act like a just and honorable person after killing so many? Does killing not affect his personality? And duh, I'm not talking about just one hundred or thousands... Romance sucks, his personality sucks, his way of turning down other women, who actually loves him a lot, disgusts me to no end... Overall, Plot flow and Quick arcs are good.
