Chapter 1

"Here you go sir. You just gotta sign this form, and we are off to go" The company's employee ramaged through his numerous papers and handed the form to Robert.

Robert took the form and filled in what was required in order for the company to ensure that he's willingly giving out almost all of his inventions to be put in a science museum. 𝘈𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵.

Robert has kept one secret invention for all of his 70 years of life: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘦.

Thunder was always a friend to Iris. Its loud scary sounds never bugged her one bit.

On the contrary, the loud angry sounds distracted her from her own venomous thoughts. Whenever she hears the loud screams of the sky, she knows that it's time to meet a friend.

It was a usual walk on the side walk. Head up in the sky. Eyes wide open for the rain. Body that has no other job but to take long strides. Ears filled with the airy quietness of the dark streets until it's disrupted by a slight crunch noise.

Iris stopped dead in her tracks and looked down her feet. Weird enough there was a remote that looked like a normal TV remote control

"That's weird who would just carry a remote in their pocket?"

She reached out examining the remote noticing a drenched note stuck to the back of it.

She snapped the note and read,

" Your reality is your reality until you decide it's not."

"Huh?" Iris furrowed her brows

"Follow me" a deep voice interrupted Iris's thoughts

She quickly stood up and searched her surroundings,

and there stood a tall mascular guy with a black hoodie on. She couldn't distinguish his face since it was dimly lit.

"I said follow me" the guy now spoke louder

Iris ran as fast as she could. She could hear the guy's footsteps as he ran to reach for her, but she kept going from one side street to another until she completely lost him.

She took a moment to catch her breath while looking at the remote in her hand.

She put it in her pocket and quickly ran back home.

"So did someone find the remote?" Robert asked as he flipped through the pages of Sherlock Holmes

The guy raised up a finger indicating that he needs a moment while his chest rose up and down as he catches his lost breath

"What's going on?" Robert furrowed his brows in confusion

"A girl found the remote" The guy said as he took fetches for a glass of water

"Okay and what happened?" Robert asked as he glided a water bottle to the guy's way

"Well she read the note and then I came out at the exact moment to tell her to follow me" the guy said before taking a sip of water.

Robert remained silent as gesture for the guy to continue

"Yea well things didn't go as planned. She got damn fast strides" the guy said as he laughed a small laugh

"When I told you to bring whomever finds the remote over I didn't mean to go up on them ninja style Ethan" Robert said as he rubbed his temples with his fingers

"Well I thought that it would fit the vibe" Ethan said as he shrugged off

"I should have told Amber to do this" Robert paused thinking

"Try to search for her and if you found her please please tell her to come the normal human way" Robert continued

"Find whom?" Amber said as she took off her drenched jacket

"Oh you're here. Well someone found the remote but Mr. Ethan got outta his way and scared her" Robert said as he glared back at Ethan. Ethan rolled his eyes as a response

"Okay? I wrote your number on the back of the note" Amber said as she scoffed a bit
