66 The pyramid

This randomness factor made it so the maidens rarely reached their full potential as far as their power was concerned. in terms of falna a non perfect maiden was at level five minimum and level six if they reached their full potential. this was in regards to the upper level of power available to them both physically and magically. leon himself could jump a single level to reach level five power just barely thanks to his sharingan and magic. as a result leon just barely counted as a maiden level powerhouse , an extremely precious resource for the kingdoms.

It was a bit funny how ordered the power levels on remnant were , it was simple to create a multileveled pyramid and sort everyone into a slot. the only real outliers were the twin gods who no one actually knew the limits to or even if they had any. the grim weren't a part of this pyramid however since they grew stronger the longer they lived so they could only be counted individually for rough levels of power. at the bottom of the pyramid was of course unawakened unhealthy or crippled people not even the advanced tech available could fix every disease on the planet after all.

The next level were the unathletic but healthy unawakened people who made up the majority of the population. above that was the very skilled or athletic unawakened people as well as every member of the faunus race who was not diseased or crippled. there was a reason why finding a fat faunus was nearly impossible unless they had an animal trait of a fat creature like a walrus or hippo. the whole faunus race was born physically stronger than baseline humans from the get go and were fairly lean and muscular without much effort on their part.

Above that level was the unskilled awakened individuals of every race since once awakened the gap between races basically vanishes as the body is pushed towards perfect health. above this are those who were skilled once while awakened but had been crippled somehow and can no longer improve. sadly most hunters eventually fall into this category eventually due to the danger of the job they took upon themselves. higher than this are the decently skilled awakened individuals such as the majority of the first year students of the academies or the mediocre hunters.

Above this are the truly skilled awakened and those who were very powerful but had been crippled and can no longer show their full power. despite what his story might imply eric was counted in this category after leon took him in and whipped him back into proper shape. if put in a fight eric had an incredibly high level of power but because of the limits placed on him because of his prosthetic leg he couldn't use his full potential without the risk of destroying it. the powerful first years at the academies such as team rwby and team jnpr minus jaune and pyrrha were barely a part of this category.

Jaune fell into the top of the previous level while pyrrha was on the next level where the truly skilled awakened were placed. this was the same level the actually diligent hunters tended to fall into which made pyrrha quite special. unlike leon who had unfair cheats that he knew how to exploit perfectly pyrrha was an actual hardworking genius and the only reason she wasn't stronger was because of her young age. leon without his cheats would likely fall right next to her in terms of power due to his extensive pop culture knowledge of ways to grow stronger that he would have been able to personally test over the years.

The next level was the elite hunters followed by the elite of the elites that ozpin was at the peak of thanks to his magic advantage. then there was the average untrained maiden and leon himself. then was the perfect maidens followed by salem herself and at the very peak whatever levels were between salem and the gods. as seemingly infinite beings the gods can't even be quantified on the pyramid but were above it at all times.

Ruby's eyes gave her the unique advantage of being able to greatly damage beings of grim regardless of how far apart their levels were. but this could not be attributed to her classification on the pyramid but was considered an exception. this was how every single person on the planet of remnant was categorized. and in this categorization only five people at any single moment stood at the peak of power , this should explain how valuable someone like leon who had broken the mold and entered this level was.
