119 Settling matters

Leon laughed "is that all? i had assumed you actually had a valid concern." he said with a smile. opal sighed in exasperation "first you have that weird flame of yours which is fine i can believe it's your semblance , that is if it wasn't for the fact your semblance is called vampire. then you seem to have some crazy ability to make deals with people that have fatal consequences if broken. as if you simply decided that that wasn't enough you subverted the entire worlds perception that magic doesn't exist by creating an entire magical fucking language that let you summon frankly unheard of creatures from who knows where and bind them to someone's soul."

"As the cherry on the top of the absurd cake you have whatever the fuck this shit is that looks like you suddenly turn into a fucking giant!" she listed angrily. leon nodded eagerly "yup that's definitely all true , what of it?" he asked curiously. opal looked about two seconds away from having a vein burst from irritation at how calm leon was at being grilled. "spill it are you some sort of god come down here to mock the rest of us?" she asked seriously.

Leon shook his head "while there was divine intervention involved with my eyes , the rest is from my own effort." he said not technically lying. "wait so some of those crazy abilities are from your eyes?" opal asked confused but quickly simmering down. "six of them to be precise." he said with a nod. "which six?" she asked curiously as her nature as an explorer started to show. "perfect memory , illusions , energy vision , susanoo , rakurai and kami keshin." he said counting them out on his fingers. "hold up a minute , i didn't even mention three of those!" opal exclaimed.

Leon shrugged "i simply haven't felt the need to explain any of that to anyone until now , since i have a sneaking suspicion you were going to follow me around for a good long time i figured you should at least get to know what you signed on for." he said honestly. opal had a sheepish look on her face when leon flat out pointed out her own thoughts. "to be fair it's quite lonely out here and my old team ditched me to go settle down leaving me out here by myself." she said with a slight sad expression.

"It happens." leon said with a shrug. opal nodded "yeah i had plenty of warning thankfully before they left so i wasn't left in a lurch." she said with a shrug. she then looked at leon "don't think you can trick me into forgetting about the rest of your strange abilities by making me reminisce though." she said seriously. "worth a shot." he said with a shrug. "as i said earlier the rest of my abilities were entirely from my own effort. my hell flame is a type of magic and the devil's due is an extension of my own semblance that lets me store and manipulate life force." he said mostly honestly.

The only part of what he said that was not actually true was that it was because of the falna that his efforts manifested in such a way. while it is true that the falna is merely a tool to bring out the full potential of the person it resides on , the fact remains that the direction this manifest is dependent on the person themselves. in leon's case most of his manifested skills and magic's are demonic in nature due to his determination to be a demon for grim.

"Ah right before you get all freaked out latter i should probably warn you that my semblance also lets me regenerate from any damage as well as regrow my limbs , so if i like get impaled or something don't flip out ok?" he said casually. "are you sure your not some sort of god because that is not something people can do." she said seriously. leon nodded " yup just a dude with some really broken abilities and the knowledge to destroy the world if he wanted." he said jokingly.
