1 Character Interview: Loki

Loki sat silently in the gray painted interview room of Beacon academy. Waiting impatiently for whomever it was that was going to be interviewing him. Personally he didn't find a need to attend such a place. For when it came to dealing with grim or the people of the world, he was quite proficient.

Taking a deep breath he would rub the back of his head waiting. Waiting for what would seem like countless hours. Before there was a sudden knock on the door, before it opened. Revealing a tall and limber older gentleman. Followed by a proper looking blonde woman. Both of which stared him down with keen eyes.

Almost as if they were looking for something specific out of him. Or something they hoped was there. For with Loki Lyanthite. He was a man of focus, and will. Specially molded to survive the wilds of Mistral for weeks and even months if need be.

"Mister Loki Lyanthite. It is a pleasure to meet you. Your repertoire proceeds you it seems. My name is Professor Ozpin. And I run Beacon academy. Why should we accept someone like you into our prestigious academy?" The professor would ask in a formal tone.

"Because. I want to do some form of good in the world. And what better way to do that than being a huntsman?" Loki would say in a formal tone. One that he himself found disgusting.

"I see. From your admission forms. And physical assessments we've had you perform. It is quite impressive how well you performed compared to several other students. Even compared to our senior students." The blonde would speak, staring at him observingly.

"Extreme training and everything I have been through growing up in Mistral. Led to me getting the skills and the capabilities that I have today." Loki would say in response. Staring at the two as if he were looking for an opening that could be used against them.

"Have you had to kill a person to ensure that you could survive in the forests of Mistral?" Ozpin would ask in an inquisitive tone. It was quite the targeted question, and one that he wasn't expecting to be asked by a headmaster of all people.

"Will the answer change whether or not I will be allowed into the school? Professor?" Loki would ask his tone, breaking some. Showing he was uncertain whether or not he should answer the question.

"It will change our decision somewhat but not entirely. You have an edge up against some of our current students and just want to know if you are a danger or not." The woman would say in a low tone.

"So Did you have to take someone's life? So that you could be here today?" Ozpin would ask once more, raising an eyebrow at the youngman before him.

Taking a deep breath. Loki would take what they had said into consideration. Before he even thought about giving them their answer. If it was what got him into the Academy, then he was willing to answer the question.

"Yes I have had to kill some bandits in order to ensure my further survival. It wasn't my proudest moment. But if it needs to be done again. To further survival or success. Then I will see it done." Loki would say with a cold tone in his voice.

"Ozpin…You can't seriously be taking what he is saying into consideration." The woman would say looking to him with a shocked look on her face. "He is a kid with blood already on his hands. The blood of people"

"Glynda. We cannot judge a book by its cover. Especially when someone has to live in the wilds of Mistral. Where bandits live and torture the innocent." Ozpin would say in a thoughtful tone as he continued to stare Loki down for what seemed forever. Before coming to a conclusive thought within his mind. The mental damage that this boy had endured was quite evident. And whatever he had gone through in life. This was the boys chance to live some form of a normal life. While he was a student at beacon anyway.

"There is one question that I do have though. And it is about Lilac Venetia. How did you meet her?" Glynda would ask looking through a stack of papers that were held within her hands.

"I met her when I first came to Vale. She helped me get accustomed to city life. And was willing to get someone to vouch for me to help me get into this academy." Loki would say in a low tone

"And is she willing to risk her good application so that you could get into Beacon?" She would continue to pressure.

"I would rather that she got into the school instead of me. Because she deserves the education. I am just the afterthought." Loki would say honestly.

"Well you don't have to worry about being the afterthought Mister Lyanthite. I hope you do enjoy the experience of being a part of our school. We will see you on orientation day." Ozpin would say with a smile. Taking in the surprised look on the young man's face. "I do hope you prove to us that you are not indeed an afterthought."
