I rinsed out my mug, humming to the music that played through the speakers in the living room. I had taken a love to "old school" music. This one was Take A Bow by Madonna. The pitch to the chorus, I couldn't nail without my voice cracking but hey, who doesn't love good music?

Not me.

I placed the mug on the rack, washed my hands cleaned and picked up the towel, towelling my wet hands dry.

"You want freshly baked cookies for Gabriel?" my mum asked, setting a cardboard box up. She always had those just in case she had to give cookies to friends and neighbours. It feels so nice she inquired if Gabriel would love some. Actually, she needn't to ask because she made them for Gabriel.
