Thank goodness they were planning to be angry from the start. He was worried that he could not play his part after knowing that she was pregnant with his child. The idea was foolish from the start. Enemies, a fancy word used by Cotlin and Eve had taken it like she had always taken him seriously. So many times he had regretted letting them meet. No, it was not a casual meeting. Eve would have never paid attention to a stranger if they had just bumped into the crowd. They would have never exchanged words if they had only been introduced.

But he was the one who introduced them. He had commanded Cotlin to guide her and now, he regrets it like he regret letting Harold live. Eve had never told him in detail but he knew that the man had forced himself on her. And now she was… he closed his eyes and sucked in a deep breath. The simple task felt difficult.
