Humiliated Woman

Gabi bowed her head lower than she had ever had and took a step back. Then without another word she went and stood in front of Christy. Christy gulped and scowled. The woman could have taken her seat anywhere but she wanted Christy to stand up and vacant her seat for her.

"I apologize, Lady Farencrim, I could have taken the next seat but I only wanted to sit with my husband. If you can understand." ha! How could she understand since she hardly attended any function with her husband. She knew that look in the eyes of Gabi. others could not see but Christy knew that Gabi was rotten to the core.

Sitting with her husband! What a way to hide the fact that she wanted to show her position. Christy was the only baroness in the room. She deserved the last seat written all over her face.
