Betrayal
Hazel was walking in the dark garden for a long time. She had reached the depths of the garden where the lake would start. Yet it did not feel strange to her at all. She knew about the area like she had lived here all her life. The small hole where rabbits were hiding in the small ditch is still not fixed.
She smiled as she stood in front of the artificial lake, which Damien's ancestors had built to make sure no one could attack them at the dead of the night. It had flourished well and other duke's had made it deeper, wider though the reasons were different.
She sat on a log without caring about her clothes. Her eyes stilling on the calmness of the water when she heard footsteps. She did not turn to look back. Only a few knew that she was here.
"They fought tonight." Hazel paused. Though she wanted this to happen desperately. She had not expected it.
"Why?" she asked with a frown but no reply came, making her frown deeper.
