19 Chapter 19

"Are you mad at me?" Axel asked Charlotte who lay with his back to him.

Charlotte was silent when Axel asked her. She did not want to get into any conversation because she was so tired of her husband's attitude.

"My heart is still unable to make peace. I hope you can understand my situation, "continued Axel.

Charlotte really couldn't understand what her husband was saying. Understand what Charlotte had to do. They are married, not just living together without ties. Charlotte held herself back from putting on her emotions, and she could only cry.

After talking to Charlotte about his feelings, Axel lay down with his back to Charlotte. From their sleeping position, the two of them looked like husband and wife who never had feelings at all. Although Charlotte had put a little taste and had hope in Axel, it all felt in vain.

Charlotte frowned. "What happened to you? Did something happen at the market earlier? "

"Ah, no, nothing happened," replied Axel. "I want to take a bath first."

Axel moved from where he was sitting to the bathroom in his room.

Charlotte is increasingly curious about what happened, but the response given by her husband was so soft, unusual. An assumption arises in Charlotte's mind, could it be that Axel accidentally met his past love? Charlotte also tried to find out by asking one of the aides who came with Axel while traveling around the city.

Leaving her husband who was cleaning himself, Charlotte left her room to become the adjutant who had been with Axel. When he was walking, one of the chief aides who had come with Axel was in the middle room of the palace, Charlotte immediately approached the aide.

"You went with the King to the city, right?" asked Charlotte.

"Right, Queen, is there something?"

"Did something happen at the market, or did you meet someone?"

"The king caught a thief, and earlier there was a commotion in the market because of the theft case."

From the explanation given by the aide, Charlotte was increasingly clueless. If it was just a thief, why was Axel's attitude so strange. Did the thief make the husband think hard about his people who were not prosperous? But that is not possible, there are still many solutions to overcome the people who do not enjoy prosperity.

Axel was not in the room when Charlotte woke up, this was not usually done by Axel. Charlotte became uncomfortable, remembering last night they were involved in an argument. However, Charlotte felt that Axel could not be angry and just leave without waiting for her to have breakfast with her in-laws.

"Seriously, he left me? What will he say to Mom and Dad when I'm not eating breakfast together? I really can't stand his attitude." Charlotte continued to grumble because of Axel's attitude.

Charlotte immediately got ready for breakfast, she couldn't hide her frustration this time in front of her in-laws. Charlotte thought deeply to discuss Axel's attitude to her mother-in-law. She no longer knows how to conquer her husband's heart.

When Charlotte finished dressing and styling her hair, Anna came to help the queen as usual. Charlotte just stayed silent without making a sound, she bowed when she was in an unhappy mood. Anna can read it and try to ask questions.

"Did something happen this morning, Queen?"

"Not. Have you seen the King? " asked Charlotte?

"The king leaves the palace early in the morning," answered Anna.

"The sign, he did not join breakfast together with his mother and father?"

"That's right, Queen. Ladies and gentlemen are in his room preparing for breakfast."

Charlotte is getting more and more confused with her husband, what did she do early in the morning when she left the palace? "What do you mean? I just went out for a moment, wait for me, so we both go to the dining room, "replied Axel.

Unfortunately, Charlotte didn't want to listen to what her husband said. When Axel had just passed him and was about to enter the room, Charlotte also stepped her foot along with the ladies-in-waiting. Axel gasped and could only see his wife pass by.

"Did Mom and Dad sleep soundly?" asked Charlotte.

"Very soundly. Because of regular and quality sleep, my father's health is getting better, "said Axel's father.

"I'm glad to hear that," Charlotte replied.

"Is Axel not feeling well? it's not usually that he's late, and you guys get separated like this. Or, you are ... "
