Chapter 21: My New Family

Janet's POV

I thought that things like this happened only on TV, when you were about to experience one of the most passionate moments of your life, and boom, someone interrupted everything.

I couldn't have believed it if I myself hadn't experienced it right now.

I was just about to get my first kiss when suddenly Daisy walked inside the room and interrupted us.

"Hope I wasn't disturbing you guys?" Janet asked while pretending that she hadn't witnessed what was about to happen before she came in.

"No, you weren't," the Alpha scoffed angrily while standing up.

"Perfect," Daisy replied while looking at me, and immediately I bent my head nervously.

I know she will already be thinking that I'm a cheap girl, that I haven't even stayed up to twenty-four hours in the palace, and that I'm already flirting with the Alpha.

"Janet I overheard your conversation with Tyler, and I must admit that you are a very courageous girl," Daisy said to me, her voice filled with empathy and compassion.

"I'm sorry you had to go through all that," Daisy said while placing her hands on my shoulder.

"Daisy, tell me, were you eavesdropping on us?" Tyler asked Daisy with an icy glare.

"No, I wasn't," Daisy replied brusquely, and immediately Tyler furrowed his brows at her.

"I'm serious, I wasn't eavesdropping; I was bringing these clothes for her when I heard the both of you discussing, so I waited outside for the both of you to finish discussing before coming," Daisy said in her defense.

"And who told you that the both of us were done talking?" Tyler asked her while peering into her eyeballs.

"And where were the both of you talking when I came in?" Daisy asked Tyler, who gave her an angry stare.

Well, to be sincere, I thought that I was the only little sister who gives his big brother a hard time, but from what was going on before me, I immediately understood that I wasn't the only one; it's something that is seen in every family.

Without uttering a word to the both of them, I slowly took some steps backward and sat down on the bed in order to enjoy the interesting live scene that was going on. After all, the receptionists at the hospital had already warned me that in the Moonstone Pack, people don't get themselves involved in family affairs.

"Ok, if you weren't eavesdropping, then how come you heard everything we talked about?" Tyler asked Daisy with an icy glare.

"My wolf senses," Daisy replied while raising her hands in the air.

From the view of things, Tyler was already getting frustrated because it was as if he was losing a fight. I don't know how Daisy did it, but she had answers to all of Tyler's questions, and this frustrated him even more.

As Tyler was about to talk again, Daisy chipped in immediately.

"Do you know what Tyler, Janet, and I were discussing before she decided to go and take her bath? So why don't you excuse us so that we can continue our discussion?" Daisy said this to Tyler, who furrowed his brows at her.

"I'm serious, big bro," Daisy lamented. "What we were discussing is women's affairs, and you can't be present while we are discussing it," Daisy said to Tyler while looking at me so that I could confirm her affirmation, and without hesitating, I nodded in agreement while avoiding Tyler's gaze.

"You see, I'm not lying," Daisy said to Tyler while pushing him towards the exit door.

"Of course you are lying, Daisy, and I can sense it," Tyler said to Daisy as she was pushing him towards the exit door.

"I'm not lying to you; I don't know what you are sensing," Daisy said to Tyler before pushing him out of the room. She immediately locked the door from inside before turning her gaze towards me, and with that, the both of us burst into a round of laughter.

"Are the both of you always like that?" I asked her with a warm smile.

"Not always, but we are usually like that," she replied while sitting down beside me on the bed.

"I always wished to have a big brother, but unfortunately I had none," I said to her, and immediately she furrowed her brows at me.

"What about Leroy?" She asked me inquisitively.

"Ooh, he's not my real brother; he adopted me as his little sister after we helped me escape from the dungeon in Oz Pack," I said to her.

"Wow, I thought he was your real brother," she said to me, and I shook my head negatively.

"Well, no one will ever find out unless you tell them," she said to me, and I smiled at her.

"By the way, I didn't find enough clothes for you in my room," she said to me while handing me some of the clothes she brought from her room.

"Thanks a lot; I really appreciate it," I said to her while smiling.

"Don't mention it, Janet; as long as you are here, you will lack nothing," she said to me reassuringly, and with that, we hugged each other.

"What do you say about going shopping with me?" She asked me after we disengaged from the hug.

"Really?" I asked her excitedly.

"Yes, of course, you better get dressed before I return," she said to me before exiting my room.

Going shopping with Daisy was one of the best moments I have had since the death of my foster parents.

Throughout the whole shopping, Daisy kept on urging me to choose many articles despite my refusal. At the end of the shopping, I was dumbfounded when I noticed the quantity of articles we had bought.

When I asked her if Tyler wouldn't complain because of the whole article we had bought, she told me not to worry about it, that going shopping with me was Tyler's idea, and that he was the one who gave her the money. She also told me that Tyler said that we should buy anything that we wanted.

With those statements, I smiled happily to myself while wondering how I was going to pay his kindness back.

After the shopping, Daisy took me to one of the most famous restaurants in the pack. While enjoying our meals, we talked about many things. Daisy also told me how Tyler has been a father and a brother to him since the death of their parents.

As she was talking to me about Tyler, I couldn't help but admire him, even if he wasn't present with us.

As we were still discussing while eating, Daisy immediately zoomed out, and immediately I knew that it was Tyler who had mind linked with her.

After some minutes, she jerked back to reality, and at once, her countenance changed immediately.

"What's the problem?" I asked her with a terrified tone.

"We need to live right now," she said to me, worried.

"But why?" I asked her inquisitively.

"I don't know," she replied brusquely. "Tyler said we should start coming back right away because there's a problem," she said to me with a terrified tone.

"Ok, let's start going," I said to her.

Without hesitating, Daisy paid our bills before we started driving to the palace, wondering what problem there could be that made Tyler so terrified that he asked us to return to the palace.
