Twist of Fate

Seated by the lakeside and oblivious to the world around them, Lola rested her head on Richmond's shoulder, soaking in the tranquillity and warmth around her. Her smiles were as radiant as a diamond and as warm as a summer day. She felt immense peace that money couldn't buy.

It has been almost four hours since they arrived by the lakeside but time meant nothing to them. They were so glued to each other, basking in each other's company and sharing beautiful memories.

Richmond cracked Lola up with his hilarious childhood story and funny jokes. He talked about his youthful exuberance at middle and high school, which cracked Lola so hard that she totally forgot about Ian and her visit to the courthouse.

However, when Lola's stomach started growling, their serene getaway was cut short.

"Time to go!" Richmond announced playfully.

"Ugh! How I wish we could stay here forever." Lola pouted as Richmond helped her off the log.
