Missing Family

Carol arched her brows, surprised at Jasmine's statement. She observed Jasmin's dry and reddened eyes, which only meant that she had been crying. But she couldn't understand why Jasmine was pretending that she was fine.

"Can you both please sit down and tell us what you have decided?"

"There will be no need for that Aunty Carol, because we are leaving immediately," Jasmine announced.

"Huh!" Carol's jaws dropped.

Howard chuckled, too stunned to say anything. He had already predicted how things would turn out knowing how persuasive his son could be. But he didn't expect Jasmine to succumb so quickly to whatever Richmond might have suggested to her.

"Why the hurry, honey?" Mr Malcolm was vexed by his daughter's sudden change in behaviour. "Don't you want our input anymore or have you settled with your fiance?"
