5 Early life

Once again, I don't remember a lot of things as a toddler.

The only thing I remember was being placed in an orphanage.

It was memorable for me because, in my 5 lives, I have always had parents who looked out for me when I was a toddler.

This time, I'm alone.

I have no parents, only 'caretakers' and 'friends'.

My 'friends' will likely grow up wanting to join the marines, only to become cannon fodder in the end.

I don't want that.

If my friends are going to grow up believing in the marines, only to die in their first battle as cannon fodders, what's the point of making friends?

Connections.

There's a chance that someone in this orphanage will become a high-ranking member of the Marine.

Perhaps a Rear, even a Vice Admiral?

If I am friends with them, I'd have access to training techniques.

I remember in my third life, I saw Vice-Admirals seemingly teleport, walk on air, and even create a sharp gust of wind by kicking.

I envy them.

I want to do it too.

Why can they, unimportant side characters, do it when I cannot?

Am I fated to be cannon fodder in all of my lives?

Probably not this life.

Since I was born as Rocks D. Xebec's son, there's a good chance that his genes will boost my physical prowess.

There's a good chance that I will have Conqueror's Haki as well.

I will take advantage of my heritage and train to stand atop of the world.

I won't die anymore.

...

(Kairo's POV)

As I regained my consciousness, I tried to recall what happened before I fainted.

'"I'm going to put him in the orphanage at the H.Q. He'll grow up to be a marine,"'

'F*CK THIS IS NOT GOOD. I'M GROWING UP AS A MARINE?'

I panicked as I recalled the experiences of my second life (after reincarnating) as cannon fodder.

I was angered at how the marines threw me (and countless others) away to distract a single member of the Big Mom Pirates, Charlotte Oven.

This life, I couldn't be cannon fodder.

I was born as Rocks. D Xebec's son, which means that I inherited his genes.

I have unlimited potential compared to my all my lives when I was born as the child of mere civilians.

This time, I will become the strongest if I train hard enough.

But first... I gotta grow up.

...

My time as a toddler passed quickly, just like my other lives.

This time, I remember a significant portion of it.

That's not necessarily a good thing.

I remember sh*tting and pissing my pants a lot.

Although I do remember some important information.

One day I was sleeping in my crib, I overheard some people talk about my father, Rocks D. Xebec.

(Flashback)

"Hey, did you hear..? Rocks D. Xebec has been attacking countries under the World Government and stirring up the world! It's said that he causes a lot of civilian casualties, which resulted in a high bounty!

"What??? Really??? This means that we'll get a lot of money if we catch him!"

"I KNOW RIGHT? We might even be crowned heroes!"

(End Flashback)

Cannon fodders.

Since I was a fellow cannon fodder in my third life, I have a sixth sense to recognize fellow cannon fodders.

Although I didn't need to use that sixth sense, because I know that they are cannon fodders through their thinking process.

Anyways, this means that the Great Age of Pirates hasn't started due to Father still being alive and Roger not dying.

I have time to prepare.

(Flashback ends)

Anyways, today I'll be 5 years old.

We'll be visiting the H.Q.

"Everybody gather up! Today we are going on a tour of the Marine Headquarters!", the Matron said to us children.

"YEAH!!!!"

It seems like the children are excited to visit the Headquarters.

Well, so am I.

I might get to meet important people in the future, like Garp.

I'm excited to meet him because I'd be meeting Luffy's grandfather and Dragon's father.

Speaking of which, I wonder how old Dragon is?

Maybe he's the same age as me?

Dragon after the timeskip was in his mid-fifties, and Garp seemed to be in his late-seventies, so that means that Garp should be in his late-twenties if Dragon's the same age as me?

I snapped out of my thoughts as we arrived at the Headquarter.

"Alright children, let's walk around and explore this place! Remember, do not split off from the group, and do not go into restricted areas!"

"Yes ma'am!"

As we followed the lead of the caretaker, we saw recruits training, and I caught a glimpse of Admiral Zephyr, who was my instructor in my second life as well.

We turned at a corner, and we saw Vice-Admiral Garp, who was holding a little boy's hand.

'It seems like he's in his late-twenties. Dragon seems to be the same age as me.'

The kids were in a frenzy due to seeing the first high-ranking marine officer, telling Garp excitedly that they will join the Marines and become an Admiral.

"BWAHAHAHA! I hope that you guys can achieve your dreams and become the next pillars of the Marine! Let me introduce you to my son, Dragon!"

Garp pointed to a child holding his hand, "He's 5 right now, and he'll be joining the Marines when he's 15!"

I was surprised.

I planned to join the Marines when I turn 15, just like in my second life.

The difference is, this time I would be training in my childhood.

I would make use of my heritage and inherent talents.

...

As the years passed, I trained, trained, and trained.

Every day, I would do exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and running for as long as I could.

I was exhausted every day, but my stamina gradually grew.

There was a fault.

One day, I passed out after training, the caretakers panicked and took me to a doctor.

The doctor said that if I keep training like this, my physical development will be stunted.

I didn't want that and asked him if there were any ways to let me physically develop like normal while keeping on training at the same time.

The only advice he gave me was to tone down my training.

His name was Vegapunk.

I listened to the doctor and toned down my training, only doing 50 push-ups throughout the day, while running for barely 3 km.

Years passed, and I eventually turned 15.
