I rolled my eyes, of course, you had to pop out.

"Enough I found a clear spot at the top of the mountain with a water source and plenty of food to hunt, all that's left would be arrangements for shelter"

Several of the older folks came to me and started telling me how and what was needed for simple homes once the roles where given I had them follow me up the mountain.

And that was when I remembered "Sh*t my wolf!!!" Nami and Takashi looked at me confused.

Well, I don't blame them.

But I'm so hungry and roasted wolf meat started to sound pretty appetizing.

"Nami You guys can take a break I'll be back"

I searched for a while ...

I couldn't recall where I left it hanging 😭 "come on!!!"

I heard the leafs rustling before I could turn and check the huge wolf was thrown my way.

My eyes bulged open at the sight, without the time to run the wolf fell on me

"ughhhh"

"Okay, I've enough of your pranks!!! at least give me a heads up!"

I heard a chuckle and nothing more.

Not having a chance to retaliate I walked back, only to find astonished gazes directed towards me.

" Is there something on my face" clearly confused about the situation.

"Devil Lord sama did you kill that?" She pointed at the wolf I was dragging

I nodded

Nami nearly passed out.

"That's a Berserk Giant Wolf, it takes at least 10 of us to kill it"- Takashi

"Ten? isn't it a bit too much" -....

Leaving their shock aside, they cooked the wolf into skewers I wasn't entirely sure if it was because of my hunger or the meat was genuinely good.

After that many days had passed, the elders and young worked to build simple homes for those present.

Since I wanted to keep this place hidden some of the people told me about the barriers that kept the elven race hidden. I started going through my memories of my brother watching his shows to see if something similar⚔️

The light green dome encapsulated the entire settlement.

"Wahhhh that was awesome" I jumped up and down happy that I had success.

"Now to hide... ilusión Magic right?" muttering to myself.

Takashi tapped on my shoulder scaring me to death "What are you doing Devil Lord sama?" He pointed at the light green dome

"Well, it's large scale protection? I think?

Anyways let's test it out"

Takashi opened his eyes wide in disbelief

I pointed in the direction where the blaze had been thrown.

"Takashi is there illusion magic?"

"ahem... Yes, there is but if one wanted to use it light magic is necessary."

"Oh!?"

Takashi took that as my disappointment.

'It is unfortunate but a being like a devil Lord cannot use light element'

The dome that shone light green disappeared and with it the settlement. Only trees and flora were visible.

"It worked!?" I stuck my hand in and sure enough, it disappeared as well.

Having accomplished my task Takashi and I walked into the barrier.

Now let's go back a few days, to be precise the day I freed the people who were to be sold to slavery.

The room was filled with a heavy aura. She dashed towards us grabbing one of the knight's face with the palm that had the black flame to then launch him meters away.

The man started yelling desperate trying to extinguish the flame only to be consumed within a minute. The woman bent over and picked up the girl that had been killed.

We all trembled in fear that she would use the black flame on any other of us. Such a display of power... There was no mistake that was the Devil Lord and these fools let her escape alive.

With the girl in her arms, an ogre draped a robe on her.

She voiced something out but we couldn't speak unhyuman languages the irritated look on her face grew more displeased.

"She said to free them all" an elder usagi translated to us.

Clumsiness overcame me as I tried to help in removing the binding.

Once I was done she activated a space warping spell and disappeared from the room without leaving a trace.

"Cough...cough how did that thing free itself?"- Man 1

"Ughhh it was Silvas who took the restrainments off" Man 2

Silvas was trembling in a corner, not due to fear but excitement. His face could be described as unsightly.

Just as the dust had started to settle they saw the pile of ash that was once their comrade.

"What a monster. I warned you to hand it over to the knights of the research facility!" Man 1

"Silvas!!!"

I called to him but received no response " Men take him away and confine him. This person could have just caused the downfall of the kingdom"

"Your highness The Devil Lord has appeared"

The king and prince halted their actions and looked towards the knight.

"Are you sure of this, Keil?"

"Yes, it has appeared. It somehow ended up in the hands of slave merchants"

The king rubbed his neck in a clear crisis.

"Where is he?" The prince asked

"The slave merchants had "her" locked and confined with Mana eating stone. One of them killed her kin in front of her. She used a blackened flame on the slaver, no matter what magic was used we could not extinguish it, in the end, it consumed the man"

"That did not answer my question" The prince looked condescendingly at me

"It used some kind of warping magic and vanished. The court magicians can seem to track her location"-Kiel

"Father we must have the hero and maiden summoning ritual, if we don't kill those disgusting creatures we will perish"

I left the palace after giving my report but...

"The summoning of the hero and maiden is not something simple..."
