Chapter 2935

The large Guilds couldn't afford to be unfamiliar with the rules of the Auction Arena competition and knew of the option to challenge multiple opponents. While uncovering the enemy's classes and weapons in advance did have clear strategic benefits, allowing them to arrange their members to have a class advantage; however, the sacrifice a single member for this information wasn't worth the risk. The large Guilds estimated that their chance of victory was much larger if they battled their opponents one-by-one.

The countdown timer reached 5 seconds.

After Savage Bearclaw accepted the challenge system, the other silhouettes stepped into the battle zone, revealing themselves from the mist behind the red line.

Shi Feng quickly glanced at his swords

[Inspect]

[Light of Two Worlds] (One-handed Sword, Grey Trash)

Created by the Ancient God of Light. The Light of Two Worlds possesses the power to cut all things.

[Solomon's Sword] (One-handed Sword, Grey Trash)

Equipment Requirement: Strength 4

Attack Power +6

Attack Speed +1

Created by the Ancient God of Thunder. Solomon's Sword possesses the power source of an Ancient God, and it is capable of destroying all things.

Two of the Ten Great Legendary Weapons temporarily reduced to Trash Rank; if anyone unaware of the Auction Arena rules would see this, they would be truly shocked.

But Shi Feng was grateful for one thing; despite both of his originally Legendary ranked weapons being reduced to Grey Trash, they had no indicator for their Durability, which would mean they had kept their Legendary resilience.

Weapons and equipment of Epic Rank or below would have Durability and would eventually break if they weren't regularly restored by a Forger. However, Fragmented Legendary ranked equipment was made of resilient Legendary or Inferior Legendary Materials, which didn't require any maintenance. As most Legendary Items were either created or damaged by Gods, it was safe to assume that Legendary Materials would only yield to powers on the Tier 6 God standard.

Under Savage Bearclaw's command, the five members of Carnage Blood had positioned themselves into a usual formation. In the back stood a female Elementalist – Blue Sparrow, a middle aged male Cursemance – Everlasting World and a youthful male Ranger – Spicy Armond. In front, stood the Berserker - Savage Bearclaw, and behind him stood a young female Assassin – Oblique Skybeam, for support.

As the Auction Arena competition was supposed to consist of one-on-one duels, team arrangements usually only consisted of classes good at one-on-one battles. Therefore, team-oriented classes such as Shield Warriors, Guardian Knights, Clerics, Druids, Oracles and Summoners were rarely seen.

Shi Feng revealed a faint smile.

Their strategy was obvious at a glance!

System: Auction Arena match 2 commences.

Right at that moment the illusive barrier disappeared, a Magic Missile, Dark Arrow, and an Iron Arrow flew across towards Shi Feng.

However, all missed, as if the Swordsman was an intangible phantom.

"Idiots! At least learn to aim!" Savage Bearclaw berated through the team chat as he sprinted over towards the Swordsman.

The Elementalist, Cursemance and Ranger had confusion written over their faces, they subconsciously glanced at each other while they hurriedly prepared their next volley of attacks.

From the trajectory of their projectiles, they could clearly see that they should have hit their target; however, for some reason, not one, not two, but all three of them had missed!

How is that possible?

Meanwhile, Shi Feng was walking forward in a leisure stroll, and just like Savage Bearclaw had overwhelmed Gaia right off the bat, the Berserker had already appeared before Swordsman and swung his two-handed Sledgehammer.

The swing of the heavy weapon carried the combined momentum of Savage Bearclaw's Movement Speed and Strength Attribute; it was impossible to block or parry with the inferior Strength Attribute of a Swordman.

Shi Feng was obviously aware of his limitations and leisurely sidestepped out of the Sledgehammer's range with impeccable timing.

"Tsk!" Savage Bearclaw scoffed.

Second Acceleration!

While heavy two-handed weapons combined with high Strength Attribute seemed like the Berserkers' advantage, it was actually a double-edged sword. When Berserkers miss their strike, they would be out of balance and reveal an opening.

However, to compensate for this weakness, Savage Bearclaw had learned the Basic Combat Technique, Second Acceleration, which would consciously contract various muscles to instantly close this opening.

A sharp pain entered Savage Bearclaw's left leg.

Hmph, he landed a cheap blow on me? I'll make him regret!

However, he noticed his left leg wasn't responding; moreover, as the sense of touch in his lower leg disappeared, it slumped, causing him to drop down on his knee.

"What the…?!"

There was a deep gash in his knee cavity, bright red blood pulsed out from the small unprotected opening of his Leg Guard. Instinctively, he covered the wound with his hand, trying to put pressure and prevent him from bleeding out.

Heavily Weakened State? What? How?

Seeing the 115 Damage in his system notifications, Savage Bearclaw was dumbfound. He wasn't even confident of causing so much damage if his full powered attack had connected; yet, before even witnessing the unsheathed sword, the Swordsman had reaped more than half his life with a seemingly simple sword flick!

Just like with monsters, it was possible to for players to execute attacks capable of breaching their opponent's defensive threshold, which could inflict severe injuries to their physical body.

After God's Domain's had undergone several updates, injuries would affect players' performance in battle. If they received an injury in one of their limbs, for instance; it would affect their physical control. Meanwhile, if players suffered a head injury, it could affect their perception or even lead to partial paralysis.

After a player is injured beyond a certain point, it would not only affect their combat standard, but also force them into a Weakened State, causing a reduction in their Defence and maximum HP. When a player enters into a Heavily Weakened State, it would even impose a bleeding debuff, which causes the player to lose health over time and nullify their battle recovery.

When players have high Defence, their defensive threshold would also be high. But against classes with high Defence, such as Shield Warriors and Guardian Knights, it was possible to continuously inflict minor injuries on the same location to breach their defensive threshold.

Shi Feng's simple sword flick was powerful enough to break through Savage Bearclaw's defensive threshold. But not only did the horrifying slash cripple him, it was so brutal that it plundered half his HP bar and forced him into a Heavily Weakened State!

His HP gradually trickled away as the blood pulsed through the gaps between his fingers.

Any injuries related to a Weakened State were difficult to heal, the normal answer would be Healing Spells or Healing Potions specific for healing heavy injuries. However, they obviously didn't have a Healing Class in their team; furthermore, as it was the first round, they couldn't have exchanged their Auction Arena Points for any Potions yet.

There was nothing that they could do to save him.

Savage Bearclaw glanced up with frightened eyes as realization struck him. There was no time to agonize over his imminent death, he had to support his guild members in any way he could; they must kill this Swordsman - quickly!

The Swordsman clad in black was out of his reach, he had strolled right pass him, not been bothered to put the helpless animal out of its misery.

Oblique Skybeam, the young female Assassin, clenched her teeth; cold sweat exuded from her forehead. Meanwhile, it felt as if she was standing in an arctic blizzard.

How? How could this be happening?

At the very peak of their Guild's upper echelons stood the Twelve Towers, each a fearsome Tier 3 expert. Savage Bearclaw was a Tier 3 Berserker King in God's Domain, and also part of the Twelve Towers.

Tier 3 classes were true monsters, not only because God's Domain had provided them astonishing attributes, but their combat standards were the very best. After all, it wasn't without a reason that less than one in a thousand players had reached the Tier 3 standard.

Reaching the Tier 3 standard didn't depend only a player's attributes, but on a player's skill, talent and experience. Otherwise, every player who had reached Level 150 would have been able to complete their Tier 3 Promotion Quest. Yet, as of this day, only a minuscule fraction of the players had been able to reach Tier 3, despite passing Level 170.

While players were able to challenge their Tier 3 Promotion Quest at level 100; it was actually a cruel deception of the Main God System to entice the player's greed. Failing a Promotion Quest had permanent consequences for their character, and as it was impossible to complete their promotion Quest at Level 100, it would only cripple their account!

Meanwhile, Savage Bearclaw was a veteran in God's Domain and had actually reached Tier 3 at Level 122! This performance spoke volumes of his excellent talent, even the haughty commander praised his combat standards. Savage Bearclaw was a renowned figure around Firewing Imperial Capital City region and had rightfully earned his position as of one of their trump card legions' vice-commanders. He had taken the lead on the frontlines of many Guilds Wars and laid waste to their enemy's numerous Guild Towns.

However, she couldn't shake the scene she had had just witnessed.

Savage Bearclaw, their renown vice commander, had been helplessly chopped down by this Swordsman, as if he was some annoying weed by the side of the road.

Had Savage Bearclaw been helpless against him? If so, what was she supposed to do?

The black armoured Swordsman strolled leisurely towards her, his lifeless eyes as frigid as the abyss, cold-blooded and emotionless, as if he had been reaping lives for decades.

Her heart raced in her throat, she felt nauseous. Sick. Her face paled as the looming death locked onto her eyes.

Sitting helplessly in a puddle of his own blood, Savage Bearclaw noticed how fear had gripped Oblique Skybeam. He yelled at her "Skybeam, he got lucky because I underestimated him! Don't lose sight of him, then you can definitely beat him!"

When Oblique Skybeam heard the prestigious figure's encouraging words, a sliver of hope smiled at her, dispelling the paralysing fear.

I can do this; the vice-captain believes in me!

At that very moment, she heard a volley of projectiles fly pass her, a Magic Missile, Dark Arrow and Iron Arrow flew straight for the Swordsman.

Now is my chance!

Seeing their trajectory, the Swordman could only dodge by ducking leftwards, he would never expect to be simultaneously intercepted by one her daggers. This is the disadvantage of facing multiple opponents, anyone has only one set of eyes!

She leaped forward, preparing to stab her dagger in the small uncovered cavity of the Swordman's pauldron.

However, he didn't dodge but he flicked his sword at the incoming attacks.

Is he a fool? Had he gone blind of self-confidence?

Some experts were capable of blocking or deflecting ranged attacks, such as arrows. However, nobody had the Physique of doing such a thing at Tier 0.

Alright then, die you shall!

"Urgh" as she leaped forward, the young Assassin let go of a faint feminine grunt, as a sharp pain entered in her chest. The force behind the pain impeded her thrust, causing her to lose the opportunity to surprise her opponent.

Reverting her eyes to her opponent and seeing the magic attacks hit the transparent wall far behind the Swordman, she realised the he had somehow dodged or deflected them.

How? How lucky is this Swordsman?

She coughed faintly, which happened often during battle, but when she made a subconscious swallow, she noticed an unusual excess of salvia go down her throat. Confused, she wiped her mouth with the backside of her hand.

Eh? Blood?

Then she glanced down at her chest, towards the origin of the sharp pain. The back of an iron arrow protruded from of her chest, it had pierced her left lung.

"Wh-"

"Sky! Watch out!"

When she heard Savage Bearclaw low scream, her eyes darted back to her opponent, but her vision twisted around. The sensation felt as if she was swept away by gigantic Field Boss and her body tumbled along the floor.

Did he kick me? How could his Strength Attribute be so high?

After hitting the transparent wall, she came to a stop; her companions, standing around her, looked at her with bleak faces, horror written over them. Her body had become numb, which wasn't unusual when players were swept away by an overwhelming attack. After several seconds, her sense of touch would return to her limbs.

She glanced puzzled at the Swordsman a dozen meters further.

How was his strength so high to be able to kick her to the other end of the battle zone?

Could he have cheated somehow?

The black armoured swordsman whipped his sword imposingly, removing the blood from its blade.

Blood? Where did that blood come from?

She glanced at Savage Bearclaw, who was sitting on his knees, at the other end of the battle zone. His face was pale and eyes were frightened.

But then she noticed another body, collapsed in the centre of the battle zone. It wore an assassin's leather armour; however, it was headless.

Oblique Skybeam transformed in streaks of light.
