1 Legendary Energy Dagger

On the highest platform on Devil Peak, the most forbidden area in the Immortal world, stood a black-garbed man with rapt attention. With a gaze that penetrated anything that stood in its way.

High above the clouds, the sun hung on the space, flooding the land below in its warm glow, illuminating the world.

The man took deep breaths as he spread his arms toward the sky; with that simple movement, all the lights got sucked in his palms, and the world dimmed.

A foul wind stirred, wreathing with endless howls of agony from the scattered ghosts on the forbidden dark mountain.

The wind picked up the man's elegant hair, revealing a demonic face behind it. His pair of spiral dragon horns on his forehead shined with a metallic luster, piercing towards the sky, sharp and imposing. His red pupils revealed dominance and indifference.

The sun dimmed, while the man's aura and power kept skyrocketing from the rays that he absorbed. Soon, even dark energy began slowly rising from him.

With his face battered by the freezing winds, the dark energy grew thicker until it covered his whole body. He suddenly released a deep breath, and an evil smile adorned his face.

Rumble!!

With a loud sound as the trigger, the four mountains in the vicinity erupted while the devil peak itself was wracked by terrible tremors. The man who sucked all of the light that was illuminating the world slowly opened his eyes.

With a space-rending sound, twelve flashes of light appeared. As the light generated by them scattered, there stood twelve figures radiating intense hostility and immense power.

The darkness that was enveloping everything got pushed away by a light that was just as strong; however, they remained at a standstill without a winner.

White light was illuminating the whole area where the twelve people were hovering; darkness was covering everything on the side of the man that was facing the twelve people.

Abaddon's eyebrows shook for a fraction as he spoke in an eerie voice, " How are all the twelve of you here? Didn't you all despise us demonic cultivators to no end? That you never even came close to my territory. "

" Humph, Demonic Emperor, Abaddon, don't start acting like you don't know the reason for our visit. " An old man stroking his beard spoke up; a look of disdain was fully displayed in his eyes.

Abaddon's heart skipped a beat hearing the old man's words, and he retorted, " Geezer, Light Emperor, I don't know what you mean by your words. "

" There is no need for you to act dumb; we have proof. Now take out the Legendary Energy Dagger. " A young man stepped arrogantly as he unsheathed his sword.

Abaddon's face turned a little pale hearing this, while his heart rate and breathing uncontrollably accelerated.

After all, it had only been a few days since he found the Legendary Energy Dagger. After brushing death countless times, he finally obtained the key to step into a higher realm and get even stronger than his current self.

So how was it that in only the span of a few days, they caught wind of it? But he suddenly recalled something, and his face grew more sinister by the moment.

" Lilith, come out," Abaddon yelled, his voice reverberating in the entirety of the Forbidden dark mountain.

The moment his voice sounded out, the lands over hundred of kilometers started shaking caused by the sound waves generated by his words.

Soon, a pretty woman in white robes walked from behind the twelve, all the way smiling as she made a curt bow to Abaddon, " Husband, did you call me? "

Abaddon locked on the female with a gaze that displayed intense killing intent and said, " Was this your doing? "

The female felt a shiver run down her spine when she looked at her husband, and she uncontrollably took a few steps back, stopping next to the twelve emperors.

" It is obviously my doing; no one except me knows that you found the Legendary Energy Dagger after all." The female answered, confessing without any guilt.

" Let me guess; you were also the one who led them through the defensive array, right?."

" It is not so hard to guess that, Abaddon. After all, it is only me who knows everything about you. "

" Why, what's your reason? Weren't we supposed to cultivate together and reach the pinnacle of all? " Abaddon clenched his fists, almost failing to control his anger and kill this traitor in front of him.

Despite being a Demonic cultivator, he usually never killed without a reason, not cause he dislikes killing without reason or anything of that sort. No, it's because these twelve righteous emperor cultivators would have come to end him long ago if he had done so.

Lilith, on the other hand, was but a normal female demonic cultivator, but Abaddon saw her talent and took her in, and after some time together, they slowly developed emotions for each other and got married.

At this moment, she was a demonic cultivator who was almost gonna catch up to Abaddon in terms of Cultivation and become the fourteenth emperor cultivator.

Abaddon was planning on waiting for her to become an emperor cultivator before they started expanding their territory and getting much more resources than they currently had. Yet, who would have thought the day would come when Lilith would betray him?

" Husband, I understand that your kindness and especially love are as heavy as a mountain. But that doesn't give you the right to keep the Legendary Energy Dagger for yourself. Ever since you have obtained it, you have cultivated it alone, even afraid of me catching a glimpse of it. "

Abaddon's heart tightly clenched when he heard this.

Lilith would never know that he did it for her sake. Having a Cultivation base of the emperor realm is the bare minimum of trying to comprehend the secret technique hidden inside the Legendary Energy Dagger.

So in the first place, he was actually protecting her. He was gonna comprehend the technique hidden inside of it and then pass it to his wife. But he never thought that she wouldn't trust him and actually dared to call the other emperors to rob him of the treasure that he painstakingly searched for.

" Cut the crap, Lilith; tell him the real reason why you actually betrayed him. So at least, he can rest in peace after his death. "Surprisingly, except for the twelve emperors and Lilith, another man walked out from behind, grabbing Lilith by the waist.

Abaddon was an old demonic cultivator that lived for tens of thousands of years, so after he knew that he got betrayed, everything was already set in stone, and there was no turning back. His love for Lilith turned to hatred.

And the fact that this young man with a weak cultivation level is actually accompanying twelve emperor realm cultivators and even making Lilith, the ruthless bloodthirsty woman, becomes his lover. He chose to instantly take them out first and push those thoughts to the back of his mind.

However, Before Lilith starts speaking, Abaddon ruthlessly attacked her and the young man next to her, attempting to kill both of them together.

Thousands of black-shaped tentacles shot out from all over Abaddon's body; to be more precise, they shot out from the black energy that was coming out of him.

The twelve emperors seeing that Abaddon attacked, didn't move at all and only gazed at the young man standing next to Lilith, with curiosity and expectations invading their souls, wanting to know how much stronger the young man got than before.

" This cheap trick won't work on me, Your evil existence will today disappear for good from this world." The young man, even though Abaddon's attack was so fast that even he couldn't see it, and the tentacles were already bombarding him with attacks; he still dared to speak.

' Hmmm? This is weird. My attack didn't seem to get him. Was this one of these twelve emperors doing? No, it doesn't seem like it ?' Abaddon suspected that they interfered with his attack, but sensing no mana coming out of them, made him realize that no one moved.

After the tentacles vanished, a scene that Abaddon will never forget and that utterly shocked him to the core displayed itself in front of him.

No one from the twelve people next to the young man moved, and only a yellow transparent bubble made of mana shielded him. Yet, despite the cultivation gap between Abaddon and the young man, the yellow shield didn't even crack, much less break.

Before things escalate to a higher level, the old man that's stroking his long white beard spoke, " Abaddon, I suspect that this is not even the full strength of this young man; we were shocked as much as you back then. Just hand over the Legendary Energy Dagger, and you won't have to die today. You know that there is no way of escaping from this situation after all. "
