[ Dystopian Age ]

The war was still ongoing, so much blood spilled and many had died, what else could they do than needlessly waste their lives fighting for what they believe in. Everyone, was an enemy to the true demon lord— Luciel De Mevius.

He had white hair and velvet eyes. Donned a white cape over a primarily purple, secondary purple, tertiary black outfit with gold trim and laced boots.

A third of his army had been vanquished and he had chosen to take matters into his own hands, and end this fruitless war.

The battleground was a scene of utter desolation and depravity, with mindless warriors clashing their swords in a never-ending cycle of death and destruction.

The rain that poured down from the heavens seemed to be washing away the blood of the dead, only for it to be replaced with more fresh blood. It was the dystopian age.

In a moment's notice, the thousands of warriors fighting on the field of battle were frozen in time, even the raindrops halt in mid-air, all motion ceasing. Except for one figure - Luciel, the man with a divine presence, his body glowing with a blue ethereal light. His face was not visible, but it did not need to be. His presence alone spoke power.

The opposing forces was the coalition of hero Mages, Knights and Hunters. They were prepared for the worst, but he exceeded that concept having held time in place.

The only person unaffected was Anastasia Donedia, the warrior goddess and also the leader of the coalition. Once the lover of Luciel De Mevius. "Must I do this?" he asked her amidst the frozen in time environment, "I will not let you dictate the rules of this world..", the topic of their discussion was obscure.

"Can't we go back to our lives before now, Anastasia?" she didn't acknowledge his words one bit, infuriated the moment he'd called her name so casually, "Over my dead body! How many people must you kill until you see your ideologies can never be accepted by this world!" she was only a few meters from Luciel, yet their ideologies, world's apart.

As usual, Luciel wore that non-chalant look on his face, "This world made me a villain, blinded by my bad deeds they forgot all the good I'd done.." his voice was angelic to an unexpected degree.

Ultimately, his words served only to further incense her. With a firm grasp on her Holy Sword— Del Hevia, which emitted a pulsating blue energy— she began to gather magicube from her surroundings. The force of her gathering was so potent that it caused the earth to tremble.

When the power that was unified became more than intimidating enough, she charged towards him with torrents of energy surrounding her.

Her intent was to eliminate him, and her sword was specifically crafted for that purpose.

In that particular moment, a sense of hopelessness emerged, and our primordial demon lord extended his right arm and uttered, "Erebus, absorb all magicubes within a fifty-meter radius. As we came from mana, we shall return to it."

Before Anastasia could approach him, every magicube within a fifty-meter radius was drawn towards his center, forming a black singularity of sorts.

It absorbed every phenomena of mana, this including Anastasia and the entire army she came with as well as his own forces.

As he'd done this, it was undoubtedly over, he had sealed their fates into his. He never wanted it to end in this manner and yet it did.

"This was not your fate... Anastasia. Once more, we have birthed a world of destruction, the paradise I yearned for, lost. Know this, the universe bends to my will, and all who dwell in it can only be known as my unmistakable pawns, and those who aren't will concede, even Kings shall bow, it was only a matter of time..."

However, it is no longer within his jurisdiction to govern this world. It is imperative that he initiates the process of restarting the world, creating a new paradise where peace can flourish.

In this new world, even the weak shall not experience vulnerability, and the strong shall not endure loneliness.

"It is time, Minerva carry out Revenant function. This world would be better in an Era where equality is respected... that cannot happen in this dystopian age.." his face wore a gentle sorrow.

[ Unique Skill ---> Oracle Engine ]

[ Function ---> "True World Reversal" ]

On that day, the entire planet experienced a chronal randomization function that changed the entire course of the Earth, everything was altered and Luciel De Mevius was lost to history.

He reincarnated himself an infinite number of times in diverging dimensions, only as a means to split his unfathomable power, and truly that day the world changed for better.

His ideology was flawed, or maybe he was the one who was flawed. Peace is an elusive concept that is often sought after, but difficult to obtain. It is believed by many that the only way to achieve true peace is through power.

<<Power is the ability to control and influence environment around us. < p>

It can be used to create a safe and secure environment, free from fear and violence.

Power can also be used to create a society that is fair and just, where everyone is treated equally and respected.

With power, we can create a world where people can live in harmony and enjoy the benefits of a peaceful life.

Ultimately, power is the only way to obtain peace, and it is up to us to use it wisely.>>

Maybe that was where he went wrong.

On that day, the greatest demon lord vanished from history and was never recorded. His existence but a mere work of wishful fiction.

[ New Age ]

Name: Nyx Besimios

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Age: 15 years old

Titles: Cross, Failed son of House Besimios.

Magic: [None]

I had no recollection of my past; I could barely recall anything at all.

All I could remember was a brief flash of light and then suddenly finding myself in a field of gold, completely unclothed.

I've been told that I descended from the heavens in a brilliant ray of light, but I'm of the opinion that this was merely my mother's attempt to make me feel special.

—"Before I forget, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nyx Besimios, and I'm an anomaly in this otherwise perfect matrix."—

Magic was a fundamental part of life here, and I was one of the few who couldn't use it. This earned me the name: "Cross."

A name given to children born with Mana Deficiency Syndrome.

Royalty and Nobility were generally considered to be more endowed with mana than the common folk. It meant they had a greater form of magic power than those who were not of royal or noble birth.

This concept had been around for centuries and was still respected today. It was a sign of respect to acknowledge the power and influence that those of royal and noble birth possessed.

As a noble, supposedly, having been adopted into the House Besimios, I wished I could do more to represent them, I often found myself struggling to get by.

Seeing others with such dominance in magic served as a stark reminder of my standing, yet my parents remained unconcerned.

They used their influence to get me into Excelsior; the most prestigious magical academy in the entire continent of Endlave.

As someone who is not naturally gifted in magic, it may seem strange for me to be admitted into such an esteemed institution. However, I was accepted under the belief that I could develop my magical abilities over time.

While this may be an unlikely outcome, I could still make the most of this opportunity.

Sigh. Can I even survive in an academy of people far above me?

Maybe, maybe not. But it didn't stopped me from trying, yes, I might be a Cross and looked down on by many, but I have little concerns as to the sayings of the featherless biped that is humanity.

I chose to make a path that transcended normal understanding, and it was solely for the purpose of ensuring I did not stain the name that cared for me. Surely, I could "fix" my imperfections, and become slightly better.

That's as much optimism as you're gonna get.

Standing confidently before the Academy, I was ready to make my way in.

My appearance was that of a teenager with striking black hair and deep blue eyes, wearing a white shirt and navy blue jacket, which signified my status as a Nobility. My trousers and black boots were as prominent as the others.

I couldn't help but smile. Looking at the intimidating presence of this academy which stood on a "hill of hills," I was prepared to take on the challenge.

In order to prove my worth, I had strive to reach the same level as those with a strong affinity for mana. I acknowledged that hard work alone may not be enough to compensate for my lack of talent, or even the bare minimum.

But I was determined to try, to think of a way to reach success beyond the ordinary definition, and to stand above all others. Although this might seem far-fetched, it's worth pursuing.

"Are you ready to head in?" Belitha asked me.

I'd forgotten she was here, daydreaming occasionally makes me lose track of things.

"Uh yeah.." I responded, slightly unsure, maybe because before now dreaming about being successful wasn't as feasible as being a successful Mage.

Either way, onward.

I marched into the Academy with my childhood friend— Belitha there to offer support, but she had goals of her own as well.

We decided to get stronger, together...
