'Slap!!' a hand hits the head of Lux and he jumps forward not knowing what just hit him.
"Lux, you have to pay attention in the class. Don't go sleeping around whenever you want."
Lux gaining some consciousness becomes amazed looking at his environment. The last thing he remembered was getting hit by the magic skill Death's Hand.
It is a ancient forbidden skill that can kill any person the caster touches. This too was no exception to Lux who was given the title of the #1 Mage by the continent dragon 'Acadia'.
But, the consequence of casting such a god tier forbidden spell was to sacrifice more then 50,000 people who are bonded with it. It takes the life force of all the bonded people and is said to even kill the a nation dragon if touched by the caster.
The continent of Acadia is named after its continent dragon and has 7 major nations represented by 7 dragons. The conflict between these nations have exceeded more than a thousand years with many wars breaking out between them.
These wars are fought by the Magic Casters or Mages that are regarded as the warriors or the protectors of the nation. When the nation of Wyvern was about to fall, one man defeated all the other Magic Casters and protected the nation of Wyvern alone.
This man was Lux. He was attending a banquet to make peace negotiations between all the nations when he was touched by Death's hand. The God's ring that Lux had with him had mysterious powers and seemed to have send him back in time to his 14 year old self.
'Slap!!' Another slap hit Lux when he was thinking very deeply about this situation he was facing.
"Hey Lux!!! Can't you hear me?? I was just telling you to pay attention and you are again lost in your thoughts."
The whole class started laughing after Lux got slapped 2 times by Miss Garden.
Lux seemed to get the hang of this situation. Maintaining his composure, he replied to his teacher, "Oh sorry Miss Garden. Don't worry now. I will pay full attention in the class."
His teacher looks suspicious of him but goes back to continuing teaching the classroom. Lux looks around and feels nostalgic seeing all his friends and experiencing this environment.
In his previous life, when he was in a trip, the whole class was attacked by 10 Master tier Mage of another nation and all his friends had died only leaving Lux to survive as they viewed him as incompetent, weak and not even worth wasting their time on.
That was true cause Lux was the most weak and useless student in his whole class. The major reason for it was because all his friends were from rich families some even belonging to Nobel families and could afford expensive cultivation items while he was the only one who was from a middle class family and couldn't afford them.
He was also bullied by the class's bully Dan. They had a really bad relationship in their previous life but, he didn't feel any kind of hatred towards Dan because even seeing him alive made Lux happy.
There was also a girl Alice whom Lux admired a lot and also had some feelings for. There were only Alice and his best friend Killian who viewed him as friends and treated him well. Other students didn't even view him as a human being.
Now that he had returned back to this stage, he has made the resolve to bring peace while also saving his friends that he had lost in his previous life. As he had swore, he would become the villain if needed to bring peace. He would not stick to only one method like he did in his previous life.
Even though, he doesn't have high level cultivation equipment, he knows a lot of the nations secrets and also has a lot of knowledge in cultivation which can help him in growing faster.
The class ended and everyone started going home. Seeing that Lux was still fully immersed in his thoughts, Alice went to talk to him.
"Lux. Are you facing some kind of problem ?"
Hearing Alice's voice, Lux ended his stream of thoughts and faced her. He had planned on how to cultivate and raise his level the whole day.
"Ohh, Sorry to make you worry about me. It was just that I was really immersed in my thoughts. I am not facing any kind of problems."
Hearing Lux say that with a smile on his face, Alice was still somewhat worried but, decided to change the topic and they talked about many different things. Lux also felt really happy to have a good chat with Alice after such a long time.
They left the class together while talking and went their separate ways after some time. Alice felt like Lux had changed a lot when she talked with him. He was really calm and composed, the complete opposite of how he usually was.
Lux started going to the place he used to call home. His parents also died shortly after he faced the 10 Mages who killed his family. Unlike the incident with his class, they died because of a disease which could not be treated due to lack of money.
Lux had already decided to prevent that situation in this life and earn a lot of money both for treating his parents and buying equipment for his cultivation.
The powers of Mage were classified into 7 tiers (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, Champion, Legendary, God) all having a 100 level barrier. Once a beginner mage gets 100 levels, he then becomes a Intermediate, once the intermediate becomes 100 levels, he then becomes a Advanced and so on.
Lux was at the peak of Legendary level at the time of his death. He was also considered the person with the highest level in the whole continent. If he had broken through to the God tier then, he could have gone to travel to the other continents.
It is also said that once a mage reaches the peak of God tier, they can enter a whole new realm known as the "Heaven's Realm".
Until now, no more then 10 people in this world have reached that level. These 10 people once were called the 10 Gods who were even more powerful then all the continent dragon of the world.
After walking for a while, Lux arrived at his home. To him, it felt to him like a strong emotion was grabbing his heart. He slowly opened the door and walked in. The smell of the air, the inside and outside appearance all were so strong that he was crying even before he realized it.
He went inside while stabilizing himself and stopping his tears. For the first time in so long, he saw his mother in the kitchen and called out to her. He was really happy to see her and also went as far as to hug her.
His mother was surprised for a second but looking at Lux, she just smiled and hugged him back. Lux felt the warmth that he was always missing in his previous life. This warmth was really fulfilling and it simply refreshed Lux and he regained all his energy.
"Lux, Did something happen? You look really happy."
"Nothing much mom. I am just grateful to have such a great mother."
"Trying to butter me up huh? Fine then I am going to make your favorite food for dinner."
"Yes, just what I wanted."
Lux was really happy to see his mother again. He had already forgotten how his mother's food even tasted like. He only had vague memories of his past time with his parents. So, being given a chance like this again made him really happy and satisfied.
He went to his room upstairs and changed to his casual home clothes. He found his status plate in his closet and analyzed it. He had not tested his status at all during this time.
He poured some mana into the status plate to see his status. After a while, his status was displayed.

Lux was surprised looking at the status. The status bar only used to show the rank and level but it also showed a new bar of titles. And it gave a huge amount of bonuses. This was a thing that he had never seen in his whole life.
