Reaching the Village

In Terabethia, The City of the Dog Kin Beast people had now been turned into a fortified city, Due to the recent incident which led their soldiers to death.

After Almasin sent in reinforcements to the Dog people's request for assistance, Their plans were interfered by a single unknown being that was covered in bandages.

Several days ago...

The being's eyes were all that they could visibly see, It was pitch-black, As if they were staring into an abyss.

His mummified appearance startled the dog soldiers that were ready to infiltrate the northern gate of the Outer City.

And at that very instance, While the moon shined brightly, Blood splattered everywhere leaving corpses scattered on the ground.

A single Dog soldier witnessed everything that had happened and managed to escape, Thus ended reporting everything to their Governor.

Gazblake Tutra, The Governor of Terabethia and the Leader of the Dog people. He had blonde long hair that almost reached his buttocks, And white furry dog ears on his head, His eyes were slanted fiercely that overwhelmed his sword-like thick brows. He had a muscular figure along with a whitish furry tail intact at his buttocks.

Gazblake stared intently at the Dog soldier, Which reported the horrifying scene he had witnessed.

A mummified man that had black empty eyes, Massacred every dog soldier that Gazblake had sent towards the Northern gate of the Outer City.

"Elder, Please believe me! That was a monster! It was no Draconian!" The Dog soldier insisted desperately.

Gazblake noticed fear in the wavering eyes of the Dog soldier infront of him.

"Tell me everything that happened, And when I say everything, Properly describe it in detail." He whispered whilst leaning towards the Dog soldier's ears.

The Dog Soldier gulped and finally calmed down, He then explained everything about the Mummified person that slaughtered his comrades.

The mummified man, Which used two elemental attributes at the same time, Also had the ability to heal, And could also enhance himself with Enhancement skills.

It was as if they've encountered, A multi-skilled User that should not exist in the first place.

"He had the Skills of an Elementalist, Enhancer and Divine Arts. Which no one has ever seen before." The Dog soldier spoke, As his voice trembled.

"Blasphemy! There's no way a person can exist!" Gazblake stated, With disbeliefs about what the Dog Soldier had said.

"Elder! It's the truth! I also couldn't believe my eyes. But after he used alot of skills, Even the late captain could not believe it before dying. That-- Mu-mummified person remained unfazed even after getting stabbed several times. He didn't even utter a single word nor made any sound, And just kept on healing himself whilst he kept on fighting like a zombie madman." The Dog soldier earnestly said, With his eyes lowered, Unable to directly see Gazblake's eyes. His body trembled, His sweats dripped profusely whilst Gazblake gazed upon the shivering man infront of him.

"Okay I believe you." Gazblake said in a quiet tone.

The dog soldier flinched and raised his head, "Thank you Elder. We need to enforce our City. If that Guy comes, We will have a hard time protecting the citizens." He said.

"You may leave." Gazblake stated and turned around, Staring at the moon from the window of his Office.

The Dog soldier left the room, While Gazblake wandered in thoughts.

If my men failed infiltrating, Then did the reinforcements that the Councilors sent also failed? I'm sure it was no coincidence, Since the soldier's report stated that the Mummified person was seen standing near the Northern gate, As if it was guarding and waiting for my soldiers to arrive. So did my plan get leaked? Or did the Councilors betrayed me? If not, Then how come they sent a mummified guy to interfere with my plan... This is hard, If those Draconians decide to attack us, Then this open city would surely become a wasteland." Gazblake pondered deeply, And decided to enforce their City, Further turning it into a Fortified City that's fully secured by Dog soldiers which kept on patrolling day and night.

Meanwhile, Back in the current date.

It was already afternoon, And the sun rose brightly in the sky, While Axel and the Others had finally arrived at the Village.

The village was bustling with Beast people comprised in Wolf people, Dog people and Cat people. Several settlements were also seen, Including different types of Shops.

Their Buildings were similar to those of Spalicek in the Medieval era, But without proper coloring details.

I was forced to cover my face with my hoodie, In order not to attract attention. Erza as well was included since she would literally attract alot of men, Due to her outstanding beauty.

Thanks to Mayu informing us early, We successfully escaped the eyes of the beast people that lived in the Village, Which they focused more on the Monster people.

We passed through the road uncomfortably, As the Beast people chattered and gossiped about the Monster people.

Their gazes were filled with disgusts, Since they weren't properly informed yet about our sudden arrival.

Mayu led us towards the location of the Village's Chief to inform him about the situation.

By the time we got closer to the Village Chief's manor, The chief himself barged out of his house and immediately greeted Mayu.

"Good afternoon Miss Mayu! I'm so happy to see you here." He said, In a flattering tone.

"Chief Aban, As per father's orders... He wanted me to ask you if there are any spare lands for these people to camp out." Mayu abruptly said while pointing at the monster people.

Chief Aban, A Cat man which was fully covered in thin orange fur all over his body, He wore a decent attire and had a very friendly face, That made him totally approachable even if he gets angry.

"Camp out? Why though? We have alot of Inns in the village. They can stay there for the time being if that's what your father wants." Aban responded, Curious as to why they wanted to camp out rather than staying in an Inn.

"We can't do that, The people here are not really friendly towards the Monster people. When we passed through the roads, I could see in their eyes that they were truly disgusted seeing the monster people inside their Village. So it's best for us to Camp out. We will only be staying here for two days I guess." Mayu responded whilst checking the surroundings.

"Okay, I understand. I will lead you to the open area which you can use to camp, It's on the western side of this village." Aban responded, Feeling sorry for how his people treated them.

Mayu nodded and brought Aban towards the Elders, "Chief Aban, This is Elder Garudo and Elder Beru." She stated and introduced Chief Aban to the two elders that were standing infront of them.

"It is nice to meet you two, Elder Garudo and Elder Beru. My name is Aban, And I am this Village's Chief." Aban politely said whilst bowing his head slightly.

"I am Beru, The Chief of the remaining Ogre Clan."

"I am Garudo, The Chief of the remaining Orc Clan."

As both, Elder Garudo and Elder Beru introduced themselves.

Aban gently smiled at them, Observing something as he looked around the gathered monster people.

"I see some Goblins... But, Is the Goblin Chief away?" Aban asked, Showing hints of curiosity.

"Chief Aban, Elder Chiban of the Goblin Clan had passed away. So currently they have no Chief for now." Mayu said.

"Oh I'm sorry for asking... Anyway, Follow me. I'll lead you all to the place you can use to camp out for the night." Aban said, And started walking, Heading towards the open area he mentioned.

The others then followed from behind, And started moving whilst chattering about random things.

Meanwhile, Axel and Erza were further at the back. With their hoods covering their faces.

I never thought I'd get to see a village like this, The place sure has Anime vibes similar to those Isekai animes I've watched." As Axel thought about it happily, Whilst observing his surroundings.

While Erza walked beside Axel who's face was totally surprised and excited whilst looking intensely from left to right in a fast pace.

She giggled after seeing Axel being excited, "Shesheshe, Is the village to your liking young one?" She asked.

"Yes, They look kinda cool." Axel replied while his eyes shined brightly.

Erza chuckled, While Greed instantly interfered and notified Axel.

[User! There's two people approaching your way.]

Huh? What do you mean? I can see alot of people though." Axel replied via telepathy.

[I can sense hostility on those two people walking towards you.]

Axel glanced at his left side, Noticing two individuals, A wolf man and a cat man, Grinning maliciously as they both walked towards Axel's direction.

These two? But they're just kids?"

[I know. Kyahahaha!]

Ugh..." Axel responded and wore an uninterested expression whilst staring at the approaching kids.
