2 New Beginnings, I

Hmm, what's this? I asked myself as I kept hearing the cries of a baby.

Ugh, I also feel all sticky and warm.

Well, I am. I've just begun living again, for the second time now.

I have gained a new life, and no, I haven't become the protagonist of a hentai.

I do agree with that saying about a light after death. I did see the light at the end of the tunnel which turned out to be the hole that pumped me out into the daylight of this place.

"Hm," My body made noises instinctually, I was now in my new mother's hold.

She lifted me without difficulty and held me to her chest.

"Helis, welcome." She smiled through the beads of sweat streaming across her face.

Well, well, glad to be here mother dearest! I replied to her with emotions in my mind.

Well, taking a seat back and thinking about it, it's kind of sad that I couldn't say goodbye to my first mother.

She took care of me throughout my whole life. Having such a sudden parting makes me… here come the tears.

***

Just like that, as a newborn baby, I cried my eyes out for a good long while.

I didn't try to speak since it would obviously make my new parents think that they have gone crazy, or that I could be possessed.

The child mode should keep going.

But it really makes me feel guilty when she brings her breasts to my mouth, it makes me want to tell her off something like, "Ma'am, I have the memories of a grown-ass man, please do not breastfeed me, I don't want to think of sexual excitement from the person who gave birth to me."

Ordinarily, I couldn't tell her.

But she sure is a striking beauty, and so is the same for my father.

She has blond hair and blue eyes with an arching noise and a curvy body, your casual NPC female character on Earth, but there's just something about her that makes me feel like she is ethereal.

Whereas my father was a guy that had a sleeper build. He looked like a scrawny boy with clothes on, but when he got naked(during nighttime to have a sexy time with my mother), I sure could see how many refined muscles he had.

I wonder if I have the genetics to build such a body myself.

***

A year has passed, and I can now crawl around on my own, and yes, I'm looking out of the window of my house on the first floor at my father mindlessly swinging a sword.

"He must've been a lady knocker during his early youth…" I whispered to myself so I wouldn't be heard.

"Be careful so you don't fall, Helis." My mother called out to me.

Uh, this certainly feels familiar.

The next instant my foot slipped off the wooden stool and I fell on my head.

"Kgha!" I groaned at the pain.

"Helis!" She called out my name as she took hold of me, setting me on the table while I was holding my scalp with my hands, trying to keep tears from slipping out of my eyes.

This is feeling a little too familiar.

My mother set a hand upon my head, "Saint Spirits, I ask of thy, bless this ungraceful soul with your regeneration abilities, Healing."

A sudden glow of green took over my eyes as the pain subsided.

"..."

I was lost for words.

No, I actually wasn't. I wanted to scream out loud as much as I could something along the lines of, "Why does such a cliché start of the story has to happen to me!?"

No, no, no!

This is too vivid.

I remember reading numerous stories with such a start.

The character dies, is sent to another world, and they discover their mother uses magic and that their father is a swordsman, they then proceed to be overpowered on the magic aspect and overtake anyone in their way while even stronger opponents appear which at the end of the arc they become allies with the mc of the story because they're too overpowered to be beaten.

Damn it. I feel like crying.

I was literally killed by truck-kun the day I resolved myself to go out and now this too.

What next, are my father and mother going to be ex-adventurers who abandoned their party after getting together?

"This brought back memories of our adventuring days, right, dear?" My mother said while reminiscing about the past.

Why so predictable!?

What a great start.

"Certainly true, my dear, what blissful days they were," My father said as he hugged my mother from the back.

My father, Lyle, and my mother Abelie made such a great couple to the point I wanted to puke.

Why did my parents have to be like ones from a fairytale?

It gets on my nerves.

But at least they gave me a pretty badass name, Helis.

It feels like the name of a strong gladiator on earth.

Helis Roadgray the savior of the world, or maybe the villain? One or the other will work.

"Hm?" I noticed something in my peripheral vision outside of the house, and of course, through the window.

Following my gaze, my parents also stared outside.

There, the sky had quickly taken a gloomy tint of dark gray, full of what seemed to be dark blue clouds.

And within those clouds were uncontrollable bolts of lightning moving around in the air.

What is that? I wanted to ask out loud, surprised at such a phenomenon.

"Huh?" Breath escaped my lips as I squinted my eyes to get a better view of the clouds and the so-called lightnings.

No, they were no such thing. They were entirely something else.

They were strings of letters.

Strings that contain stories within them, I assumed as it was finally clicking in place.

That the worst of the worst had come to pass by.

That this is the world of the novel I had only written a concept of.

"He who does not have a story to tell shall cease to exist."
