These Damn Bats 2

I have never felt such pain before, even during my training.

The last attack of the bat literally took a chunk of my back as i was entering the safe-zone, i could see it feasting on the chunk of meat.

I am pretty sure that if i hadn't evolved 'Pain tolerance' to 'Pain resistance' i would have already fallen unconscious.

Still i don't regret it even a bit, now all i have to do is wait for the huge bat to be eaten by my gluttonus aura and since i will be getting mana and energy from it, i can safely heal and grind some of the skills that i think that will be important later on.

Thinking of this a smile appeared on my face, it was only for a second since it realy hurt to move even a muscle in this situation.

I started casting 'weak rejuvenation', and instantly a warm current took most of the pain away.

'So this is the reason Yumi moaned, yeah it feals realy good.'

While i was doing this i pulled out the other 2 corpses and casted gluttonus aura on both of them.

Fun fact, the gluttonus aura is considered alive by the system so i had to remove it from the first bat to get it in the inventory.

All was going well for a couple of hours until i heard a notification.

I was very happy for a bit before massive pain and hunger took over me.

It felt like every inch of my body was being taken apart and remade into a better version, this obviously took a huge amount of energy.

Thankfully i was 'eating' 3 good quality monsters at the same time, or i might have died just from the lack of energy.

After what felt days it finally stopped.

Then out of nowhere, information was suddenly being loaded into my brain, thankfully it was not too much so it only took a moment.

It turns out that 'strong body' won't be raising my stats on the panel, rather it works like a multiplier on my basic stats that have to do with the body.

This thing sounds OP as hell.

'Strong body' also levels up differently from other skills, within the skill 'strong body' is a skill called 'perfect body manipulation', it isn't nearly as good as it sounds but it has the ability to allow to manipulate all the energy within the body.

This isn't like the cultivation novels, this energy can't be used at all other than speed up your regeneration a bit, but what it can do is guide to improve your body.

Usually, even if i had a lot of energy it would naturally dissipate before i could use most of it but now all that excess can be used.

I realy wanted to try how good this skill was but my back was still hurting so i could only wait.

After around 2 days i could finaly say that my body is fine, there is a huge scar on my back but it no longer bothers me.

I could have healed for a bit more but something realy mysterious happened, the third conection of my gluttonus aura was cut off.

There are only 2 ways for this to happen. first to be removed by a spell like cleanse and the second is to completely eat it's prey.

Vampire bats are almost never able to use magic but even in the off-chance that they can, they would surely not be able to use light magic.

So that would mean that it is done, but this is also impossible since i would have surely gotten a level or two from such a strong enemy.

I made my way to the door and opened it.

I saw the huge bat still standing there but now there was a huge difference from before.

It no longer possesses two hands.

This bat understoud that it was going to die so i chopped off it's own arm and wing to survive.

I was a little shocked at first but then but on a smile, this wouldn't have made a difference before but now with my new power up it is a game changer.

Closing the door i went back inside before i opened up my system.

Everything was leveling fine, especialy 'weak light arrow' it got 6 or 7 levels in just on battle.

My 'poker face' was missing but it just turned into 'perfect body manipulation', this thing not only allows to manipulate energy but everything that has to do with your body, face included.

Seeing my panel i decided to evolve 'weak light arrow' as well as using all the rest of the corpses to level up my 'strong body' before going to fight against that huge bat.

Finaly after a single day i was done with my goals.

I took out a short sword with my right hand and the dagger with my left hand and patiently waited for a moment of weakness from the huge bat.

After some time the bat turned around, probably going to get some food to eat, not that i would let it.

I rushed at it with speed noticeably faster than before, if previously i was a bit weaker than a normal monster of the same level right now i am even.

The bat turned around quite fast but not as fast as before, it would seem that it other than losing an arm it also weakened considerably.

Slashing the sword i managed to make a diagonal cut from his right shoulder to the left side of his pelvis and with the dagger i stabbed his eyes since it seemed to be on the lookout for attacks on the neck.

It used it's left and only hand to block my dagger but this had a result to give me another free hit on his body with the sword.

Seeing that defence is a bad idea it went on the offence, or so it tried.

I quickly kicked the floor and flew backwards while shooting the newly evolved spell 'light arrow'.

Previously this spell would have hardly done any damage to this bat, but the evolved version together with the fact that it has weakened considerably made it so it would cause serious damage if it were to connect.

Yes, if it were to connect.

Although i got a couple of good hit in while it didn't pay attention i still can't say whether i will win this battle, honestly i don't know where i got the balls to pull my plan previously.

It opened it's left hand as if it was getting ready to fly only to then remember the sad reality and try to dodge normaly, this did get a free hit for me so i am not complaining.

This is another thing that i found very weird, why would these bats never fly and attack me that way, as it would turn out i was just very very very very very VERY lucky, had they actualy done that then i don't think i would be here right now.

The original huge body of the bat was a huge advantage in hand to hand combat but at ranged fight it makes for a nice target.

As much as i would have liked to keep going like this i must stop, i don't have any targets to use gluttony on so i can't play a battle of attrition.

I paused for a bit giving it a chance to get closer before i casted another 'light arrow' before putting away the sword and dashing at it.

It was able to dodge the arrow but it put it in a bad posture, exactly as i wanted.

I swiped the dagger at it's throat while i extended my arm forward, like i had done in our previous battle.

It didn't even hesitate to jumb backwards to dodge both my dagger and hand, unfortunately for it i can use magic.

I sent 3 'light arrows', 2 to it's chest and one to it's right leg.

It managed to block the 2 on the chest with it's hand, injuring it in the procces but was helpless when it came to blocking 3rd one.

Now that his hand and already limited mobility was hurt even further i was ready to go for the finisher.

I casted 'flash of light' before pulling out the spear and throwing at it before dashing at it full speed.

With a wave of it's hand it tried to catch the spear, only for it to fall apart, momentarily confused it stoped moving for a split second.

At this distance 1 second is more than enough for me.

'Puchi'

My dagger pierced right through his left and last arm, rendering it useless and my remaining left arm genty touched it's chest but i didn't use gluttonuis aura, what i used was 'light arrow'

A sizzling sound can be heard as my ligh arrows pierced and burned the chest of the bat.

Before it could even attempt to bite me i removed my dagger from it's arm and pierced it's throat.

Without even pulling the dagger out i used an over the shoulder throw on it, which must have looked quite funny as i am less than half his height.

Now there he was, a burned chest, no functional arms and with a dagger in it's throat.

I smiled gently at i before pulling out the battle hammer.

"Oho, karma is truly a bitch."

And with a 'bang', the battle finaly ended.
