5 Awakening!

Thorneheart Viscounty, Dragonborn Empire.

Following the instructions of the maid just now, Arthur headed toward the main meeting room with each footstep echoing through the halls.

"Amazing, no matter how many times I look at it but the architecture of this world never ceases to amaze me"

"Even the slightest details look as if great care was taken to create them, perhaps this is one of the benefits of being born into a wealthy family"

Admiring his surroundings, Arthur couldn't help but take a quick glance at his surroundings, and even though it wasn't his first time seeing it, he still found himself marveling at most things

Be it the paintings that hung from the side walls bringing a classical touch to his surroundings, the evenly spaced chandeliers that lit up the passageways, the arched and painted windows giving the incoming sunlight a rainbow hue, or the velvet rug that lay beneath his feet.

As someone who lived a relatively lavish life in his last life, Arthur could have been said to have seen most things especially when you consider the fact that he was an archeologist who traveled all around the world to complete his various mission

Considering all that, it wasn't surprising that few things could surprise an old bone such as his, however, it seemed like in this life that might just not be the case

*Bang! *

"Ouch! Who dares hit this young master's forehead!"

Rubbing his forehead in pain, rubbing his forehead in pain Arthur couldn't help but curse angrily just like those minor villains he read about in his various novels back on the blue star

Fortunately, no one was around if not they would have wondered if their young master had a few screws loose upstairs

"Oh? What's this, no one is here?" Questioned Arthur

It wasn't until he noticed the door in front of him that Arthur realized that he had unknowingly reached his destination,

"However, I really do need to start paying more attention to my surroundings, I can't believe I didn't see the door"

Feeling the pain from his forehead, Arthur couldn't help but grumble unwillingly which happened to be seen by his mother who at some point had opened the door after hearing all the noise outside

"Oh? If it isn't my baby Arthur! What's this? You have an injury on your head?"

"Come, let mommy make you feel better"

And without waiting for his reply, Serphina picked him up from the ground covering him with a green glow which she emitted from her arms

"Life magic!"

Feeling the pain in his forehead that gradually disappeared, Arthur turned to look at his mother in this life, and only one word came to his mind

Beautiful!

Perhaps it was because of magic but it was hard for him to believe that this was someone in her thirties, back in the blue star she could have easily passed for someone in her eighteens or nineteens

Not only that but her sky-blue eyes, and long silver hair made her truly stand out wherever she went, two features that he was glad he inherited

However just as Arthur was thinking about all this, her soft voice sounded in his ears making it so he couldn't help but twitch his lips

"Little Arthur, what are you thinking about? Could it be that you don't care about mommy again?"

"If that's the case, mommy is going to cry"

Yes apart from being a rare fifth class life mage, his mother for some reason was overwhelmingly doting and overdramatic

And for someone like him, who had a lack of family affection or parental love in his last life, while at the beginning it would be a lie to say it didn't make him uncomfortable

But as the years passed, Arthur gradually became used to it and even found her behavior a bit funny sometimes

*Ahem*

"Serphina dear, why don't you put Arthur down. after all, we can't keep Mr. Sylas here busy for too long"

Dressed in a tailored velvet brocade coat, his father Elias Thorneheart as if sensing Arthur's troubles quickly spoke up to change the topic

Not only that, it was only at this moment that Arthur had noticed another person sitting in the room

Dressed in a long grey robe and pointy grey top hat, the man whom Elias had just referred to as Sylas sat on a chair staring carefully at him

However, for this Arthur didn't care too much instead his attention was focused on a gold medal that sat firmly on Sylas's robe

Carved with the image of a knight stepping over a dragons corpse, and having 4 stars under it

Arthur knew this was the four-star mage sent by the royal capital to conduct his awakening, something to which he had been looking forward for the past five years

So, with this in mind, after wriggling out of his mother's hands, Arthur turned towards his father and Sylas before making a bow to both of them respectively.

"Good day Father, good day Mr. Sylas"

"I Arthur Thorneheart am here today to conduct my awakening per the rules of the empire"

Saying this, he took another bow in the direction of the royal capital.

"Oh? At such a young age he can already have such etiquette? It seems the rumors about him being a genius aren't so far-fetched"

"I can't wait to see what kind of element he would awaken, most likely something that would give me a surprise"

Said Sylas as he couldn't believe that a five-year-old could already behave so eloquently

Just kidding, at five years old he was still babbling his words and playing in the mud, never had he seen such a situation as Arthur's

However, Elias and Serphina after hearing Sylas's words couldn't help but look at each other and smiled

After all, back then when Arthur first began to speak at one, walk at two, run at three, and play the piano at four they were also surprised

So now seeing someone else in shock just like they were, the both of them unknowingly giggled at the shocked Sylas
