27 The Witch Doctor's Incense

Without hesitation, Qin Zhen walked up to the podium. She took a piece of chalk and started writing on the blackboard. When she was young, Qin Jin found many top teachers to teach her. Compared to them, Baihe was far behind. Qin Zhen naturally adopted some of their teaching methods.

She never had a bad grade in the past. But what made her grades fall was mostly because she did not put much importance on studying. The main reason she even ranked first in her grade was because she had a solid understanding of the subjects she had learned. She had never wasted her time as most people had assumed.

As for the students of Class 28, although they were not interested in listening to English class at the beginning, Qin Zhen strangely drew them in.

Qin Zhen's way of teaching was full of emotion. All the obscure theories in the past seemed to have been cleared up in that instance. After all, once the knowledge was imprinted in her mind, it would never leave her brain.

Even Jia Qing and the others who hadn't been listening for long were paying attention with great interest.

Baihe had been watching the show from the beginning, and her expression turned ugly once more.

"Does everyone understand?" She asked. When someone pulled up their hand, pointing at the parts they didn't understand, she would patiently rephrase her words. There was no arrogance or disdain in her tone, which made them feel as if they were asking a very normal question.

The students of Class 28 were gradually moved. Although Qin Zhen was a strange student in the past, she never did anything bad to them. After all, Qin Zhen didn't talk to anyone. Instead, they often laughed at her. Even now, Qin Zhen was more patient with them than Baihe was regardless of past grudges…Thinking about it, they all realized they have acted out of line.

After Qin Zhen finished her lecture, she put down the chalk and tilted her head to look at Baihe.

Baihe had her signature ugly expression on her face. Fortunately, the bell rang. The older woman did not say anything and left the class with her books.

Then a short-haired girl timidly approached Qin Zhen and placed the paper on her desk, "Qin Zhen… I don't quite understand this question… Can you explain it to me?"

Qin Zhen looked at the paper and taught her patiently. Her explanation was much simpler than what many teachers had explained.

The short-haired girl, Ji Yueyue, thoughts gradually became clear.

"Do you understand this now?" When Qin Zhen looked up from the paper, she realized that a group of people were surrounding her.

Ji Yueyue nodded shyly and said, "Your explanation is really easy to understand!"

"You're welcome," Qin Zhen smiled.

Seeing how easy she was to talk to, the others felt braver to approach her with their problems.

While Class 28 was known as the worst class, it was only true when people compared them to Class 01. They have their differences, but most of their results were still not bad. Otherwise, they would not have been able to get into this high school in the first place. It was rare for the top student in each class to be willing to help them. Naturally, they benefited a lot from having her in their class.

Du Juan usually had good results, but she never cared about anybody else. She obviously didn't want them to surpass her, so she didn't want to help other students.

However, Qin Zhen was different. She was patient and wasn't worried about anyone surpassing her. Moreover, the solution she gave was simple and fast, which helped them see the questions from a different perspective. Of course, with Qin Zhen's abilities, it would be difficult for any of them to surpass her.

Du Juan couldn't help but turn her head to watch her. Seeing how everyone enthusiastically surrounded Qin Zhen with their questions, the corners of her mouth gradually turned down, and the pen in her hand almost broke from her tight grip. It was not until the next teacher arrived that the students returned to their seats.

When school was over, Jia Qing was about to get up when he felt someone poke him in the back. He turned around and saw Qin Zhen holding a bag of things. He was about to ask, but before he could, she stuffed the bag into his hands. He was stunned for a moment before he took it and found that there were all kinds of ointment inside.

"Thanks for yesterday," Qin Zhen smiled.

Hearing this, Jia Qing felt a surge of warmth in his heart, and his ears turned red with heat.

...

At night, Qin Zhen took a shower and turned on her computer. She had another video call invitation from Luyao.

"One billion. Wu Ze has paid."

Qin Zhen was a little surprised. That guy was willing to pay her that ridiculous price? Did he really have too much money to spend? It was obvious that she was trying to set him up, but he still paid? "What's his commission?" she asked.

At the mention of this, Luyao smiled evilly, "To find the Witch Doctor for her incense."

Qin Zhen was speechless, "Why is he looking for the Witch Doctor?"

For a moment Luyao was silent, seemingly in thought. Then she answered, "I've looked him up and it's for his younger sister. I don't know what illness she has, but so far, no one has been able to cure her. Her condition is getting worse and worse, so he wants to find the Witch Doctor to check on her,"

The reason why Wu Ze was in such a hurry to look for the Witch Doctor was that the spices concocted by her could enlighten one's heart and reveal one's nature, cure diseases, and dispel evil spirits. It was obvious that he had no other choice. His sister's condition was probably very serious… In the past, the incense concocted by the Witch Doctor would be auctioned off at the auction house, but for the past two years, there had been no news of the Witch Doctor.

Wu Ze was anxious, which was why he contacted the Dark Night and hired the best hacker to locate the whereabouts of said Witch Doctor's location. Wherever they are, Wu Ze would do everything he could to bring them home to his sister.
