Lyra has thick black hair that tends to naturally curl at the ends unless she straightens it with a laser (jk lasers burn). It has a natural bounce and shine and in certain lights it has undertones of a striking purple. Lyra's natural eye color is actually a bright orange that tends to bleed red most of the time. Lyra's eye color is perfectly normal for her clan and is actually notorious throughout the galaxy as her family's calling card and their most distinguishing feature. Only direct descendants from the main branch tend to inherit them. Lyra is not adverse to the bright color of her irises (in fact she likes them quite a lot) but she has gotten into the habit of wearing light grey contacts so that she's less recognizable to the masses. Lyra's family, like Rei's, is also among that of the highest tier of wealth and prestige this side of the nebula can boast about. This however makes Lyra's natural eye color more easily identifiable when she prefers anonymity.

(To clarify Lyra and Rei's families are among the top 3 richest of the rich families living on Gia2 and within the top 5 of their galaxy. Kai's family is similarly rich but not over abundantly loaded like Lyra and Kai. Kai's family places top 5 on Gia2 and top 20's in the galaxy. Not bad if you ask Kai and he's never treated differently because of it between the childhood friends. Money is money Rei and Lyra shrug, not Kai.)

Description:

Lyra is as cool and calm as they come. She's got a level- and highly intelligent head on her shoulders with a very grounded personality. Lyra is more the a do-er type. She is more than content being a quiet observer rather then getting involved in matters herself. However, Lyra is renowned by her special forces squadron as being an indomitable, natural born leader when she does have to take charge (by force or bribery usually).

Often Lyra keeps to herself and prefers to remain silent until absolutely necessary. Lyra finds speaking to others troublesome as she lives by her actions and example. Kai and Rei are the only exceptions Lyra communicates more willingly with. But the three being such close childhood friends all tend to comprehend what the other is trying to say without words. (Which works just fine for Lyra. *winks*)

Lyra is a deep thinker and a spectacular strategist. While growing up she was an unchallenged prodigy of chess whom decimated scores of chess grand masters till she retired. Lyra mentioned something about 'more challenging' and 'interesting' to her family when they pestered her about it. Lyra is a rather casual genius. She is effortlessly good at everything she (even carelessly) picks up and doubly so when she actually puts in effort (much to Kai's annoyance).

Despite being labeled as an ice cube (by Kai), Lyra actually does have a temper and a wild side to her. Though it doesn't often make an appearance it is a deep part of herself and is usually hidden tightly under wraps inside herself. Lyra can- and will become riled up over things she deems important or necessary to her. Rei can only recall a single time he witnessed Lyra losing it and those on the receiving end hadn't been left with so much as a corpse to bury.

Lyra didn't really fall in love with Rei until much later on in her life (more on that later). To Lyra, Rei's presence in her life was just a natural, unavoidable thing considering their powerful families small and exclusive circle. So Lyra overlooked and took Rei for granted. When Lyra finally did realize her feelings she gave herself up to Rei completely. She allowed herself to trust him with her heart as she had never done with anyone else before.

Lyra growing up unconsciously put a lot of faith in Rei and would often rely on him wordlessly without noticing the fact for herself. (Not that you would ever hear Rei complaining.) Kai fell into Lyra's life because at one point her family debated a union by marriage between the two. The plans quickly fell apart though as both families wanted more. Lyra and Kai, unaware of this clicked together easily as unspoken companions at parties then later down the line loyal friends and sworn siblings.

Lyra's family, (though calling it a clan would be more accurate) is well known for the scholars and military leaders they churn out every generation. Which is what prompted Lyra to join the military. Familial fealty. The Rogues Clan also have strong ties to the financial and business world but that's less publicized. On Gai2 (Space Habitat One) a publicly known secret is that the Rogues Clan have blood ties with the ancient historical Yakuza of millennia past. Gossip speculates that the Rogues are, even now, still involved in underworld dealings far from the public eye.
