2 Hospital

The young man stood in his office, a glass of wine in hand, he gazed out at the bustling city below from the 32nd floor of the building. Before him, a large transparent window framed the urban landscape, offering a clear view of the bustling streets and towering skyscrapers. Lost in thought, he pondered something deeply, the city's energy swirling around him as he contemplated his next move.

His phone rang, the young man glanced at the screen and saw his big brother's name flashing. He knew why his brother was calling, so he swiftly picked up the call.

"Raj, you were right. I should have listened to you. I shouldn't have trusted Jatin," the words hung heavy in the air, laden with regret. Then, he began to explain his situation in detail.

Raj listened to his brother's confession, memories of his past flooded his mind. He remembered the car accident that had changed his life when he was just 21 years old. The head injury had left him in a coma.

When Raj's consciousness slowly returned, he found himself in the hospital. A voice echoed in his mind,

"Host's attachment to the system is successful," the voice proclaimed.

"Host can use this system to change his destiny."

"Host's destiny was to die in that car accident, but the system has used his remaining destiny points to save the host by changing his fate."

"Now, only moderate functions are available for the host to use. As the host helps to collect destiny points, the system will slowly recover, and additional functionalities will be unlocked."

"By saying 'status' you can see your status."

He heard a series of notifications in his mind. Raj was very confused, his body was aching, his muscles sore from being in a coma for such a long period. He didn't know what to do next. He ignored the voice for a while, but after contemplating for a few minutes, he decided to check for confirmation if it really worked.

He focused his thoughts, Raj tentatively spoke the word, "status," feeling a strange anticipation building within him. Instantly, a translucent screen materialized before his eyes, displaying a myriad of information and options.

"The host has also received a gift pack, which is stored in inventory," the voice rang again.

He slowly lifted his finger, wincing in pain, he attempted to touch the screen, but his finger passed right through it. So, he pressed the button near him to call a hospital staff. When the nurse entered his room, she was overjoyed to see Raj awake from his coma. When Raj asked her about the translucent screen in front of him, she replied that she was not able to see it.

Raj thought he was going mad. He believed that all this was happening due to the head injury he had suffered during the car accident. Raj decided to rest, hoping that sleep would provide clarity or at least a temporary escape from the confusion. He closed his eyes and after some time, he fell asleep, his brain strained from excessive thinking.

Raj woke up the next morning, the events of the previous day weighing heavily on his mind. He couldn't shake off thoughts of the translucent status window he had seen before he fell asleep.

To confirm whether it was real or simply his imagination, he hesitantly spoke the word "status" in his mind. Almost immediately, a blue-colored translucent window appeared before him, displaying detailed information and confirming his suspicions.

Shock and bewilderment washed over him as he struggled to make sense of the situation. Deciding to calm himself first, he took a few deep breaths to steady his nerves. After a few minutes, he turned his attention to the details displayed on the screen, hoping to find some answers.

On the screen, Raj saw a series of details :

Inventory: Partially locked, with only a few functions available. The host is unable to store external items; only system items can be stored at this moment.

Raj felt disheartened as he read the detailed description on the status screen. His stats were very low, and he assumed it was because he had just woken up from a coma. Recognizing his poor body condition, he understood that it would take time to recover.

Raj contemplated, "So, I would be dead if not for this system. It saved me. I was supposed to die in that accident, but the system intervened somehow to save me. It seems that due to the system's intervention, it lost some functionality in order to save me. With only moderate functions available now, it makes sense that the store is locked and the inventory is partially locked."

He began to ponder why he was the one chosen to receive this system, what its purpose was, and why it saved his life. He wondered about the destiny points the system used to alter his fate, how capable this system was, and what this gift pack that the system mentioned contained. He had a lot of questions swirling in his mind.
