6 Sieging the Fort Part (2/2)
With everyone knocking our the enemy bandits with one swing of the Kanabo, Myself and the Trained footmen climbed up the ladders and sneakily got to the southern tower and climbed upwards and smacking any bandit who we all found once we reached the top we had to sneak around the stairs but Hayai took care of it if an arrow in their necks is an indication.
I got up the ladders and took a look within the fort and indeed, it was bigger than expected. There were carriages within along with other armored guards but way less than Adel's heavy knights.
Most had light armor and few had Sigils on the chest of their armor. Looking at the other walls there were only 2 knights that didn't seem that bad.
I looked out the tower and signaled Hayai's group of 14 archers and 18 footmen to climb the walls. Once they climbed and a minute later he showed up.
Hayai: "Situation?"
Katsuyori: "4 Carriages with an estimated number of 36 guards and maybe 9 guards each carriage. And I believe there will be personal bodyguards for whoever is buying"
Feeling someone beside me I turned and saw it was Aoi standing there with two of the knights knocked unconscious making me want to ask but shut up but still curiosity got the better of me.
Alexis: "Aoi, how did you manage to knock out knights when you were on the forest line and getting in the tower so fast?"
Aoi: "I ran up the ladders and found a knight sneaking up the tower stairs so I knocked him out before the same knight we saw before came by. I threw my Kanabo at his face before hand chopping his neck. I had enough time to knock out other tower guards before climbing the tower we ate in with both of them on my back"
Looking at everyone who had stars in their eyes I sighed but Katsuyori was the most exited to reach a threshold that of a Veteran Oni.
Speaking about it, I need to check Aoi's status and proficiency in weapons. I swiftly tapped the companion bar before I tapped on Aoi's Status bar and was shocked at what it said.

God damn! How much has she trained to get this far, usually players can get this far end-game but she broke the limiter of 15 and close to 20. The weapon proficiencies are over 400+, even her throwing is at an amazing level except her Crossbow proficiency.
I sighed internally before accepting it and looked back at the other warriors who were ready to fight the entire guards.
I told Katsuyori to follow me to barricade the barracks and if possible for Aoi to take care of the remaining Knights.
Aoi: "As you command Alexis-dono"
Alexis: "Hayai, and all the archers give cover fire for Aoi and the Kanabo Warriors that will fight the rest of the bandits in the walls and towers"
All: "Hai"
Everyone got ready before we walked down the tower and towards the other walls as everyone split off towards their own direction. We jumped from the wall to a small building below the wall before falling through and found ourselves in a storage for food.
Katsuyori opened the door slightly peeking to the other wall seeing Kanabo's smacking heads and knocking them unconscious.
Katsuyori: "A minute before we go Alexis-dono"
I nodded and waited patiently until a minute passed and Katsuyori opened the door before we both sprinted towards another building and seeing a knight in the way Katsuyori raised his Kanabo high before swinging it horizontally into the knights face making the knight spin.
How in god's name did it even happen almost as I'd it was a cartoon but I didn't stop and so katsuyori had to knock out the guards while I did nothing but Katsuyori is having a field day smacking people's heads.
After cleaving our way to the barracks we looked at how large it was before we split off looking for the doors of the barracks and finding two altogether on different sides of one another and looking at nearby wooden crates I placed them stacked on one another blocking the door.
Once in doing so I reversed my grip on my Nagamaki before thrusting the blade backwards stabbing the attacker straight through his stomach. Before he could scream I swiftly turned and with my unsheathed katana cut off his head.
It was a.....knight....guess not all of them will be alive then...man what a waste...dammit old habits die hard!
I sighed before I moved back to Katsuyori who had blocked the other door with chains he found nearby and a wooden crate.
Katsuyori looked at the southern tower where Hayai was aiming at the barracks with a shiny yet solid substance. The red haired Elf girl from earlier is with them and the one that can light things up in flames although the flames aren't bigger than her hand it's enough to light up a good amount of resin covered arrows.
Guess the elves don't like burning things as she doesn't use her flame magic quite often only nature magic.
Wonder if I will be able to use magic on my own or have to install mods that let me use magic or I can try to close that gap by having muskets made to shorten the distance and the only good muskets that are flashy yet powerful are the Warhammer ones.
The Warplock Engineer and Skryre Jezzail are good gunners especially against armored troops, and then you have aoe units called The Wind Globadier that helped a lot in sieges, battles, and you gained a lot of exp with the enemy always clumping together.
But enough about the future, time to focus on the present situation so let's go on.
We both sprinted out the barracks and fire arrows started being shot from Hayai's tower into the barracks which were 4 arrows and then another 4 towards the other small buildings like the butcher's hut, larder house, outhouse, and other two towers after
In doing so brought all the attention and with the fire spreading everywhere and smoke going through the thatch roofs of the buildings making their inhabitants wake up coughing with lung irritation and airway blocked by the smoke.
BANG!!!
???: "HELP!!!"
BANG!!!
???: "LET US OUT!!!"
BANG!!!
With the towers burning down and countless shouting we made ourselves known and engaged in a fight with the combined might of the guards and bandits.
Since we made ourselves known, I can finally test out my new strength on them. With the buildings in fire and both sides charging one another we all got excited to fight.
I side stepped to the right avoiding a downard swing before raising my leg and kicked his stomach and thrusting my nagamaki through his neck I jumped back before punching with my right fist at the new attacker was sent flying.
I put away my nagamaki before going street fight style, I rolled to the left before kicking a guards leg joint bringing him down to his knee while quickly coming behind and grabbing his chin and head I twisted it to the right with a cracking sound could be heard.
I saw one of the bandits charging at one of the footmen who was fighting against a guard. I started sprinting towards the bandit before I jumped pulling back both legs and dropkicked the bandit sending him flying into a burning house.
I ducked before I sweeped someone off their feet and hitting him in the balls and taking out my katana thrusting the blade to his head ending the misery of pain.
I moved my head to the left avoiding an arrow that hit the bandit behind me who at the same time was stabbed with my katana that was in a reverse grip.
What a bad ending huh? but it isn't my position too judge someone's death, especially the previous one who oh so got his family jewels crushed....
I gave a thumbs up to Hayai in the southern tower before I elbowed a guards throat as he grabbed his neck as he gagged. I ducked as one of the Kanabo Warrior slammed his Kanabo at the guards face and a cracking sound was heard.
KW: "Alexis-Sama! Are you alright!"
Alexis: "I'm fine, but the ones below should have heard the commotion and if they want their buyers to come back again they need to capture or kills us. And I know that you won't ever let that happen as we have our reputation to uphold"
Hearing my words everyone got fired up and started to smack heads or stab their weapons into the guards or kick them off balance.
Thinking back on it, I did say we were fight-hungry people, I guess we are one of Aoi's stats became like that she must've fought in a lot of wars.
Looking at the digged-in-tunnel and the figures walking up from it made every one alert I asked the Kanabo Warrior if he could temporarily give me his Kanabo which he did without question.
Holding it tightly with my right hand I walked towards the tunnel before slowly walking to sprinting within seconds. Raising my Kanabo high in the air ready for a swing once the figures came out they had their hands crossed, hands in their pockets, or looking with serious faces.
??? POV
???: "Tsk, the damn guards can't even stop some fucking idiots causing trouble! what good did we bring them here if we're all that they need!?!?"
???: "Victor, shut up. If the guards can't deal with the attackers even with the combined might of the bandits what good will badmouthing them do if their all dead?"
???: "Keith, don't bother with this fool who likes to drink & fool around even on work duty?"
Keith: Then excuse me for the inconvenienc-
Be fore Keith could finish speaking we heard rapidly approaching footsteps and with victor grinning about to say the same thing a large metal rod came crashing down horizontally hitting both Victor and Keith straight in the head as they both were knocked out cold and sent flying hiring the tunnels rough walls.
???: "Roselle, Gabriel, watch out!!!"
I was going to pull out my rapier but before I could even reach for it, I saw another long metal rod heading my way before I was hit alongside Gabriel who tried to block but the rod had broken straight through the magic steel sword Gabriel wields.
I blacked out unconscious wanting to stay up to protect Lady Euphemia but my body couldn't move and I watched strange tall men in full armor with a red Sigil in the middle of their chests that I don't recognize.
Please be safe Lady Euphemia! Don't get kidnapped or worse yet... raped! with these worrying thoughts in my head I blacked out completely leaving only Sir Eugene's Knights, the Captains, and Vice-captain left.
Aoi POV
Looking at both the Young Lord & the young soldiers who are fighting to make our clans name recognized in this strange land, I started to remember the old war days between The Clan against the Serai, Khuzait, and the southern Empire who kept fighting with us nonstop, with treaties made yet once they were finished it was war once again.
Hanzo was the craziest Clan Leader I ever saw, and always war hungry but his continuous offensive attacks had always worked so that's a given.
I took out my Noble War Yumi and took out three Bodkin arrows modified with it's arrowhead being that of a drill and coating the arrows in resin I told the redhead girl to burn the arrows with her magic.
???: "Hai! Ma'am!"
Once she lit the resin on fire I pulled back the string with the arrows hooked and aiming at the tunnel I waited for a bit before releasing them and it made a small shockwave before penetrating the rough wall.
Aoi: "It should help a bit...."
15 minutes Earlier Alexis POV
With another swing I knocked out the last bodyguard and with katsuyori and the rest we went downwards the tunnel and I swung to the right deflecting a flaming fireball sent my way from the tunnels.
Looking at the one who sent the fireball it was a woman who had a noble attire with a weird shaped symbol on her shoulder.
???: "Dammit! What did you do to Roselle!!! How did you deal with a capital trained swordsmen so easily, they are the highest of their class so why can you defeat them?"
Alexis: "That's for us to tell and for you to find out whoever you are miss..."
Looking behind her there were two other tunnels leading straight in different directions making me sigh and 3 knights came out that made me interested with the feeling I gained.

Alexis: "Katsuyori, can you feel danger?"
Katsuyori: "None Alexis-dono, but you are growing stronger as time passes and it is always better to fight stronger opponents to better yourself"
Alexis: "Well you are right, but they aren't as dangerous as the Giant Halberdiers. Well you all can stay out of this fight until their officers or captain come to fight"
I swung my Kanabo to the right deflecting a left sword swing and raising my leg before swinging to the right and kicking outwards to one of the knights hands that held his greatsword swinging downward.
???: "Block him!"
Stopping the downward strike I swung my Kanabo to his waist but one of the other knights charged in and clashed with my Kanabo before I backed away swinging once more clashing with the other knights greatswords.
Using both hands I gripped the handle of the Kanabo tightly before just going all in as my excitement grew I started to strike in all directions and occasionally some large swings when they tried to surround me.
???: "DAMNIT"
???: "DAVID BE CAREF-"
As I grinned I felt myself heating up quickly I started swinging to the left or right and getting a lucky hit in the head as he fell backwards. I rolled to the left avoiding a large fireball coming my way and using this chance as the knights got out the way of the fireball I quickly jumped towards one of the knights with my Kanabo raised in the air before bringing it down onto the knights head knocking him out.
Feeling the ground below me shift and remembering Adel's moves I quickly jumped to one of the walls before jumping towards the other knights in rapid succession with the Kabuto raised upwards.
???: "Wha-"
While in the air I felt something fast approaching me to which I grinned before I spun around in the air and still flying towards the knights I swung the Kanabo once again to one of their heads but the other knights was about to thrust his sword at me.
I took out my katana before clashing with his sword redirecting his thrust as the swords blade skinned past my cheek and my katana found its way to his neck going through as he coughed before being taken down to the ground.
???: "HECTOR!!! YOU FUCKE-"
I moved backwards avoiding a horizontal swing and sighed seeing the knights lose his sense of reason and start to attack madly.
???: "You Fucking dared to kill the Old Knight's of Frontera!?"
Alexis: "Hmm? You think I care about rogue knights who do dirty work for the nobles of the Basil Kingdom?"
???: "Wha- How do you know we work for-, No wait, are you the mercenaries hired by that damn Noble Alfonso?!"
I shook my head before pointing my Kanabo at him while jumping backwards avoiding another fireball.
Alexis: "We weren't hired by a noble by the name of Alfonso or ever met him. We are the Tetsujin Clan, a clan who likes to fight and a clan that always is close with one another"
Katsuyori: "You will be the first of many who will be the stepping stones of our Clans Grand Return"
I smiled and all the Kanabo Warriors started shouting Tetsujin over and over again while stomping the ground land a sense of pride could be seen radiating off their bodies along with a golden luster on their armor.
???: "Tch, so we're stepping stones for your fucking Cla-"
Before he could finish his words the tunnel was filled with Bloodlust stopping the Mage girl and the knight dead in their tracks. Katsuyori along with myself had appeared in front and back of the knight with our Kanabo's raised in the air before swinging at his head where both Kanabo's hit his head that exploded into a bloody meat paste as we both had no emotions on our faces.
Both: "Don't mess around with our Tetsujin Clan"
With brain matter, blood in our Kanabo's we swung them to the side making the blood slip off. We both looked back at the female mage waiting for her to speak.
The bloody scene made the young mage drop to her feet with a scared shitless face dropping her wand in the ground curling up in a ball.
Alexis: "We didn't go too far now did we?"
Katsuyori: No, it was perfectly fine for his death. And are you fine with a grusome scene young lord?"
Alexis: "I'm fine katsuyori, I've seen worse in the beginning and had vomited already....let's not talk about this anymore"
He nodded and we waited for more of our soldiers to come in and we detained the female mage who was curled up in a ball along with the other knocked out prisoners.
While we were about to come down even further my danger senses flared and I ducked as three arrows came out the wall from above onto the deep tunnel where a loud groan was heard before a body fell to the ground with an arrow drilled into his head, one in his heart, and the last one in his right arm that had a chain around it.
I looked back at where the arrows came before looking through the drilled hole to see a smile whom I know where it came from. I got chills throughout my whole body before looking back and Katsuyori had shining bright eyes as I sighed in defeat.
I guess I need to also figure out her strength and if it is the same as an Oni or if it's experience that matters along with the years they are an Oni.
Hmm, things for the future me, present me needs to focus on gaining more soldiers and find somewhere to place our first town.
Thinking about it, I should have everyone to loot the fort in case of an unknown situation if it asks me for things to build or pay.
Katsuyori went in front of me defending me with his Kanabo held in both hands before we walked further and the tunnel opened up into a large room where found the encaged prisoners Eriae told us about and I am marveled at the amount of different races I am just seeing.
But then it dawn's on me that this isn't a small bandit fort that just has prisoners and sells it's slaves. It has monsters that of myths I've heard back in earth and creatures I've never seemed. There were armored soldiers within cages protecting their people inside surprising me.
Looking at the amount of cages and tunnels that held guards who just noticed us and started to rush over.
The Kanabo Warriors stepped in front of me in a defensive formation and katsuyori took a deep breath before he started running at the armed guards as he raised the Kanabo before swinging it left and right smacking the charging guards and sending them flying into the cages were the monsters or people had bitten or strangled some of the guards.
As Katsuyori kept swinging until there was no one left in his attack, the footmen came in before finishing the ones still alive after having their bones, ribs broken and many having concussions.
Seeing the large wooden doors I sighed before looking at Katsuyori who nodded. Feeling more exited like last time with my body heating up a bit Katsuyori kicked open the wooden Gates that had a large arena like room and seeing the giant man with a large axe he truly lived up to his name.
There were five other people within with
Alexis: "Zephyr the Giant and who may you be Sir Knight?"
Zephyr: "Hah, it's nice to be known throughout the land by my enemies!!!
???: "Were you sent by Alfonso...?"
Alexis: "No, but we're a...traveling clan who came across this place"
???: "But guessing you killed everyone along with my knights you are here for a different agenda"
Alexis: "I guess so, This arena seems like it can fit us all so why don't we settle it here and now?"
Zephyr: "Haha, Why not little man! You as well Teth, join this small fight of ours and kill them for killing off your friends"
Teth: "Shut up Zephyr, fine, I guess I will accept it and behead the both of you"
Katsuyori: "Then let us do it as one-on-one, for all the participants within this grand arena"
Zephyr: "Haha, wonderful!!! Finally another great fight in my arena!!! Then it shall be your men against mine with the two leaders fighting against one another!"
I grinned seeing the big man shout in excitement and a seemingly different situation that I thought but the feeling of danger is maximized by just those 2 alone.
The other four figures had large builds and had a similarity with vikings with them having blue warpaint, two war axes, , and a large round shield with runic sigils in a circle.
Alexis: "Then let the first round of the fight begin!"
Zephyr: "Jovun, go up first and cut them up!"
The left viking had rough fur over chainmail armor and a closed northern helmet with a bearded axe as his main weapon.
I pointed at one of the Kanabo warriors who stepped up and headed to the middle of the small arena.
Everyone walked up the steps into the seats stone seats and not long after, the Tetsujin soldiers came in with Aoi in tow who had a smiling expression on her face.
Now when she entered the entire arena turned chilly all of a sudden before pure bloodlust washed throughout the entire room washing everyone in cold sweat even Zephyr was shaking a bit and his expression changed to that of a serious one.
The knight captain Teth had drawn his sword and had a blue aura around himself suddenly flaring out wanting to fight against Aoi's Murderous intent.
Aoi: "Oh? Interesting, but you should give up for your safety..."
Then the murderous intent increased tenfold and the pressure increased even more making Teth retract his aura forcefully and not long after, Aoi retracted her murderous intent and she lightly laughed at everyone's expression.
Zephyr: 'What in Odin's name is that woman!? Not even The King can make such a terrifying aura like hers!!!'
Teth: 'Why is someone from the Central Continent doing here in the Cressia Continent!?!?'
Aoi: "Now then, Alexis-sama shall we start the round with everyone here?"
I drily laughed before telling the Kanabo Warrior to beat them up or use his wakizashi if he gets overwhelmed.
With him nodding he jumped down into the arena outskirts where the viking Jovun was leaning on a stone pillar and looking around, the slaves that my men released came to watch the fight and they were standing on the Tetsujin's Side.
I told the Tetsujin Footmen to let the surviving Knights go to Teth's side along with the few surviving guards.
As we let them go I heard Aoi chuckle lightly behind me before she placed her hand on my right shoulder making me stiffen up completely.
Aoi: "Now, why would you let them go Alexis-sama...?"
Alexis: "Ahem, I just want to test something out and if my guess is right I might gain an unexpected reward"
Feeling her hand release her grip on my shoulder I took a small breath of relief. Hearing her speak once more I focused on what she would say next.
Aoi: "Can you enlighten me on your guess Alexis?"
Alexis: "I want to recruit them into my clan, and before you say anything, Zephyr is renowned throughout the kingdom so he has connections with the underworld and traveling traders. Teth has a militaristic connection with an unknown Knight Order as they are "Old Knight's" as the knight before spoke about"
Alexis: "And from what Hayai heard in his reconnaissance mission, this should be their last Contract before returning to their Knight Order. And I am interested in Teth's, ability to use that strange blue energy on his sword"
Aoi: "I understand Alexis-dono, I would say that Zephyr would betray you while in our journey, but because he is the same as us he won't betray you Lord"
Alexis: "Hmm, what about your opinion on Teth?"
Aoi: "He is a respectable fellow, at least he could bite back if attacked. If you were to recruit him, I suggest you gain his trust with his comrades for he has a strange power within his heart"
I sighed before looking back at the two battling challengers who walked to the middle with their weapons drawn ready to draw.
Looking at zephyr who had a bo staff he grinned before shouting for the warriors on both sides to be ready for a bloodfest.
Zephyr: "Are you ready, you bastards!!! Look around for you have a whole audience looking at your fight"
Facing the enslaved people's ire he just laughed them off before he prepared to countdown the start of the battle.
Zephyr: "In 1....2.....3....Go bash your heads in!!!"
