Chapter 16

(3rd POV)

*TIMESKIP-2 MONTHS*

It's been two months since Daniel left Laplace Island after giving the commission. Now we can see him sparring against a big bear, while he is blindfolded.

(1st POV)

*Clash* "Hmmm, it's hard to use observation haki continuously, but still, I can now use it in battles. And now I guess, time to put an end to it."

Saying this, I made my polearm a scythe and covered it with both anemo and geo energy, making it sturdy and sharp. Then I closed the distance between me and the bear and swung my scythe towards its torso.

*Slaaasssh* "Hoooo, finally it's dead. It's been two months since I left Robin to train, I guess it's time to take our ship." Saying this, I located Robin at the western edge of the island using my elemental sight. After confirming her location, I used anemo boost to propel myself towards her. After 10 minutes I saw her, spaced out. Seeing this I got the idea to prank her. I used anemo energy to hide my smell, sound, and presence and slowly closed in to her. After making sure that she doesn't know I was behind her, I hugged her from behind and whispered,

"Robin-Chan I am back." She let out a cute yelp and tried to break free from my hug. Seeing her red face, I decided to let go and have her calm down. After a few minutes, she calmed down and asked, "What are you doing?" Angrily, I replied in a pitiful and sad tone, "Can't I give you a hug?" She replied in a hurry," No that's not it, but please don't do this suddenly, I got scared." Seeing her like this, I brought my hand toward her head and said while giving her head pats, "Don't worry, I will be always with you." Then after my declaration, she thanked me and looked down with a flushed face. Honestly, it was too cute.

Well, now it's time to leave the island."Robin, are you ready to go?" She said yes and we went to the shore to, go to our destination. I had already prepared everything so we can easily go towards Laplace Island.

On the second day of our leisurely journey, I was as usual training observation haki as it had been activated, and at the beginner stage, I sensed a raft coming towards our ship. I alerted Robin about this sudden arrival and we went to the deck to check it. After five minutes or so, I saw two silhouettes on the raft, a boy and a girl, seemingly of the same age. When the reached near the ship, I saw that the girl is unconscious, so I jumped towards the raft to help them but just as I was about to reach, *Slash* a flying slash appeared out of nowhere towards me, use anemo energy, I dodged the attack in mid-air and took out my synergy polearms and got ready for a battle.

I tried to find the source of the attack and found out that the boy in the raft made the attack," Seems like he misunderstood my intensions." So not to extend it, I said with a smile," Please don't attack, I only came to help you." But he didn't listen and attacked me again. I deflected the flying slash using my polearms in naginata form. Seems like he will not listen to me without a battle.

So, I charged towards him and slashed towards him but he used his sword to parry my blow. Seeing this, I used more of my powers and skills, but he still dodged and counter-attacked me. But most of all his sword, I strong. "Why are you fighting against me? I just want to help you?" But he said, "I know, you only want to take advantage of us and sell my sister as a slave."Huh? I guess trauma. So the only option is to knock him out. So, to finish this early, I infused both anemo and geo energy into my attacks and started slashing and thrusting rapidly. But the most important thing here was, how fast and flexible he was while he countered my attacks. Seeing that if I use more of my power, I am afraid that I will kill him, I just decided that I will use conquerer's to faint him.

So, I used a powerful burst of haki toward him. I continued to do this for ten seconds and when I thought it, was enough, a burst of haki started countering mine. Boy, I was surprised, this guy has conquerer's. But still, I got distracted and he took the chance to attack me, luckily with my training in the forest I can easily coat myself with elemental energy within an instant, so I coated my self with geo energy and tanked the attack. When I looked at the guy, he was in his last leg after using all of his stamina. I used boost to go behind the guy and said," You are stronger than you seem to be, but please believe me and go to sleep." and then gave him a neck chop, making him unconscious. After all this is done, I took the boy and girl along with their belonging to my ship and asked Robin to make me shift them to the rooms. After checking up them, I only found that they are hungry and a bit injured. For the time being I treated them and came outside, where Robin was waiting for me.

"So, do you want to ask something, Robin?"

"How can you tell Daniel?" Hm, this is the first time she called me by my name, but lets set this aside.

"Well, just my instincts."

"So, Daniel, why did you save them? Also, while you were fighting with him, why didn't you use your full power? Also, why didn't you finish your battle earlier?"

"Well, you see, if I went all out, they would have died. Saving them, well it's just my whim and for prolonging the battle, it's simple, I want to familiarize myself with the battle in seas on ship or rafts."

"I see. Now what are we going to do with them?"

"Well, as you can see, the guy is clearly strong, so I want to recruit him and for his sister, we will be recruiting her as well, if they want, or they can go their ways."

"Ok, then shall we cook something for lunch."

Hm, bear steak it is then. Saying this I went to the kitchen with Robin to make some bear steaks and wait for our guests to wake up from their slumber.

Well to think I saw another chosen one here, things certainly are interesting. I will try my best to recruit them. Now let's see where these tides and waves take us to.
