The Council's Decision

The council room was filled with silence as the members sat in contemplation. The recent events had shaken their beliefs, and they were unsure of what to do next. The council members were debating whether to announce the existence of the other world and the monsters to the public, or to keep it a secret and deal with the situation themselves.

The protagonist sat among them, listening to their arguments but remained quiet. Elara sat beside him, her hand tightly gripping his. She could feel the tension in his body, and she knew that he was struggling to keep his emotions under control.

Finally, the council's leader, an elderly man with a stern look, spoke up. "We cannot keep this a secret any longer. The safety of our world is at risk. We must inform the public and prepare them for what's to come."

Some of the members nodded in agreement, while others looked hesitant. The protagonist remained silent, but his grip on Elara's hand tightened even more.

The leader continued, "We need to start preparing our defenses and train our soldiers to face these monsters. We cannot let them destroy our world."

One of the council members spoke up, "But what about the other world? Should we not try to make peace with them instead of fighting them?"

The leader shook his head. "We cannot trust them. They are not like us, and we cannot risk our safety by relying on them. We must take action to protect our own people."

The council members continued to debate for several more hours, discussing the best way to approach the situation. Finally, they came to a decision. They would announce the existence of the other world and the monsters to the public, start preparing their defenses, and send a delegation to the other world to attempt to negotiate peace.

As the council meeting ended, Elara turned to the protagonist. "Are you alright?" she asked, concern etched on her face.

The protagonist let out a deep sigh. "I don't know. This is all happening so fast, and I don't know what to do."

Elara placed a hand on his shoulder. "We'll get through this together. We'll find a way to make things right."

The protagonist nodded, but deep down, he knew that things would never be the same again. The world as he knew it had changed, and he could only hope that he would be able to protect the people he cared about.

As they left the council room, the protagonist and Elara discussed their next steps.
