59 Epilogue

A dank stairwell. Round and round.

Down.

Trisha Sallow descended into the deep. Arriving at an unlocked wooden door.

Pushing it open, she beheld a lush space filled with countless luxuries.

Comfy furniture. Racks upon racks of the latest clothes. Embroidered upholsteries. Fantastic artwork and expertly carved busts. Countless shelves of historical tomes. Display cases of cut gems. Weapon racks and holders. Armor stands. A decade's old winery accompanied by cheeses and a nearby brewery. An underground greenhouse filled with fresh vegetables and produce. Barrels of stockpiled grain and seeds.

A bunker and treasury.

Trisha walked forward, ignoring it all. Her eyes were set on the figure lounging on a couch, sipping wine, back turned.

Stopping, Trisha looked down over the back end of the couch.

"Are you having fun... Melody?"

Extended Author's Note :

This is it. I did it. Holy crap. I didn't think this would be the first book I finished. It is largely thanks to you guys and your support. Knowing there were active readers out there who looked forward to each chapter helped me push these chapters out.

This book started off as an idea for me to purge my emotions, so I didn't expect it to get the traction it did. I had some pretty rough experiences that have weighed on my mind for years, and I've never had a good chance to truly get rid of them since they always came back weeks or months later.

I planned to make April betray Bellavarn. I planned for Bellavarn to lose completely and his father to get sent to the south. I planned for many things that never happened because the story went in a completely different direction, taking on a life of its own. And I am entirely thrilled with that.

Fun fact. At the time I started writing this, I was reading a lot of manhua and comics. Thus many of the scenes and even some of the plot elements contain themes or mechanics from those bodies of work.

There will be more to this story. I have more plans, although I don't know how close I will stick to them.

I have some bonus content right now on my *******, such as deleted chapters or outlines of my plans before I started writing. Whenever I write a new chapter for Volume 2, it will be posted on ******* first, and then a few days later on Royal Road.

For those of you reading on Webnovel. Royal Road allows for more font options and immersive reading that you may enjoy. It also contains an abundance of Gamelit, Litprg, Wuixa, reincarnation/transmigration stories, fanfictions and much more.

For now, I will probably go back to my other novels and finish the first volumes in those before I continue actively with this one. I've spent a lot of time on this one while neglecting the others. They also have some engaged readers, so I feel like they deserve a full story as well.

They both have similar themes to this one, so check them out if you haven't already; you might like them.

"The Light that Darkened" is a Gamelit with a time loop. The main character, Reiss, is a low-level Florist who happened upon a Winter Sprite, a unique flower, and was gifted the unique class [Regressor]. He thought it amazing at first, but it turned out to be a curse. With his world in peril, colliding with nine others, he is the only one who knows what happens after dying again and again.

He is on his last life. His 365th iteration. Can he save his world and prevent cataclysm, or will it end the same as all the others before it?

"I Am Not The Main Character" is a slice-of-life centered around a duo. Daire is a man who fell in love with a book and couldn't fall out of it. Thus he prayed for the chance to save his favorite characters, who were ruthlessly done in by the author. He gets his chance, striking a deal with a shady shifter. In exchange for his soul, Daire transmigrates into the world of his dreams.

Landing on his face, he is initially unaware of the small ditzy Pixie who lives in the Willow tree.

Violet grew up alone for years, sheltered from the world. Until books from Earth magically started to appear, blowing her mind and sparking curiosity. She, too, fell in love with books of all kinds, escaping long years of boredom and wistfulness.

The two meet and decide that together, they will save the main characters.
