Chapter 5: Awakening

Eren was thinking about his adventures and how will be his friends. He was even smiling when he thought about hanging out with girls…

Even though he was millennia old, he acted like a child who found a new toy. But in his case, he found a new hope to live his life to the fullest.

After some time, he decided to leave the soul realm and enter. He was eager to experience it himself. Even though he has Attie's memory, it was not as good as experienced.

He was ready to be awake.

In his house,

A young man was sleeping in the bed. But suddenly, his eyes sprang open. This young man was none other than Attie or you can call him Eren.

*Yawn* he then got up from the bed and started stretching. But suddenly he went to the mirror to look at himself.

In the mirror, there was a tall man. He was so handsome that girls would surely like to be with him. All the proportions were right. His body is well-built. Even though he cannot be said as a bodybuilder, he has a well-toned body which indicates he is exercising. When all this combines, he can be called a 'dream man' who all the girls wanted.

He looked at himself and sighted 'I think I will attract a lot of attention. Anyway, this will be fun he smiled creepily. He was thinking something inside his mind that made him smile like this.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of steps that someone was coming to see him. He knew that it was his mother. So he didn't move and waited for her to come.

Mother opened the door and came running to hug him and cried " I was worried about you. When you passed out, Lyrica the Mana academy representative looked at you and said you were okay. Or else I might have died".

Eren made Lyrica's name in his mind and pledged that he will owe her a favor. He then turned to look at his mother and said "It's okay, I will be fine. Even though I am a little sad, I will take part in next year's test and before that, I will awaken an elemental affinity."

His mother looked at him questioning glare but didn't say anything to discourage him. Only one person has ever in history awakened elemental affinity lately.

She looked at him and said "okay, come and eat food. You might be hungry"

"Yeah, I am too hungry" Hearing this Kuromi smiled and went to the kitchen to get the food ready.

'It has been long since I last ate food' Eren thought. Then he went downstairs and waited for his mother to bring him food.

He then ate the food in silence as he was enjoying it.

'Wow, it's so tasty!' he thought but outside he said "Mom, as always your cooking is great".

Hearing this his mom smiled and said, "Don't try to butter me, young man. I have heard this a lot from you"

(AN: Butter someone means to make a person feel good by telling lies or boasting their skills so that they are happy and agree to your request or reduce punishment).

Eren smiled.

After some time, he said he would be going for walk and went out of the house.

Even though Kuromi was suspicious since she hadn't seen her son going for walks, but didn't put a finger into it.

Back to Eren

Eren walked until he reached a forest. This forest had magical beasts which commonly had water affinity or strong physical strength.

He then looked for beasts to train so that he can get more experience with his new body and know its limitations.

He soon saw a beast, it was looking like a frog. Seeing him, the front made a water ball out of thin air and threw it in his direction. He easily dodged it, since he had high agility.

When he was young, he was called a monster. Due to his speed. Even when people twice as old as him battled him in speed, always he would win.

Back to the fight,

Eren then attacked by using his affinity for Lightning. He sends a lightning beam to the frog. The frog couldn't dodge it and get paralyzed since lightning has a chance of causing paralysis for a short time. Seeing this, Eren made lightning and killed the frog.

After the fight, he understood that his body is perfect and didn't have any slacking. He also thought that this body was greater than his previous one.

Eren then continued hunting. He killed so many beasts and learned to use his new body better.

After farming for three hours he went back home as it was time for dinner.

On her way back he saw his friend, Lan. Seeing him Lan took this opportunity to tease him.

"Oh! So you are awake. I thought you might be brain-dead due to the shock. Hahahaha you don't even have an affinity hahaha hahaha. "

Hearing this, Eren's hand was ready to beat him into a pulp but he refrained. He said " Lan, even if you have an affinity, you can never beat me. Since I can easily come near you with my speed and land a hit which can make you see all the heavens. The hit will make you immobilize and I can easily defeat you with my physical strength."

Hearing this, Lan couldn't say anything. He cannot agree with or refute Eren's claim.

Lan stood at that place for some time and went home. At that time he said, "One day, I will become stronger than you and take my revenge".

Eren just smiled. He knew that it was never possible since he was not the old Atesh but Eren. THE ONLY DISCIPLE OF CHAOS GOD.

Eren then continued to go home.

"I am back home!" He announced to his mom.

"Go and wash your hands. Dinner is ready." Mom replied from the kitchen.

He then washed his hands and came to sit at the table to eat dinner.

His mom kept the dinner and they started eating food. At some times, they were also having small chats.

After eating dinner, Eren stayed there for some time and then went to his room.

In his room,

'I think it's time for me to start studying the next element! Which one will I?..... Ah! I will next try to study fire elements.' he thought.

He then sat and started sensing fire elemental particles in the atmosphere and began recognizing their structure and uses.

He stayed in this position for two hours. After which he woke up and thought ' it was tiring. I never thought it would be this hard. I only studied half of it. I think it t will take me some more days to understand it fully. By the way, I forgot about the testing orb which I have in my soul space. I think I can find my Lightning element affinity rank there.'

He then entered his soul realm and went to the place where that orb was kept.

I heard from one of my classmates that there are few errors in the previous chaps even though I said I corrected it. Eg: said->sad
