1 Chapter 1: The Dream
It was in a country called Astria that Atesh was living. His house was located in the northern part of the country called Aura.
It was a lovely spring season.
There was a house in which a commotion was going on.
"Mom, I don't want to eat this thing. It's so weird to see." Said a voice. The owner of this voice was none other than Atesh.
"If you don't want to be hungry for a whole day eat it. Without being healthy and fine, how can you go to the test tomorrow?" Said his mother (Kuromi)
"Fine…"
"By the way can you please keep the plates in the kitchen before you go," said his mom.
"Sure," He said with a smile.
After eating the food, Attie went to his room. There he sat on the bed and thought.
`What will be my magic affinity?'
He thought about it for a long time until lunch. After having lunch also he felt his affinity to magic and was too excited to see it.

The test for finding his magical affinity was tomorrow. This test is done when a child reaches 15 years. At that time, his mana core(a place where his mana is stored) will form. In the test, there is various affinity a person can have. Different elemental affinities are Fire, Water, Earth, Light, Lightning, Darkness, Wind, and Nature. Of these, Light and Darkness are the rarest followed by Nature and Lightning. All others are commonly found. A person can also have dual affinity like Fire and Lightning, etc. These people who have dual affinity are called genius. Some people have three affinities but they are too low in number and all those people are in a high position in the kingdom. As per the beliefs, in Astria, the king is the most powerful mage who has three elemental affinity-Lightning, Fire, and Wind. There had been never in the history of a person having more than three elemental affinities. The affinities to magic were divided into five ranks namely Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Violet. Red means, that person has an affinity but it's very low and Violet means he/she has the highest affinity to the element. As always, Violet was the most wished affinity. A Violet affinity in any element means they can one day become a powerful figure in the history of Astria. After getting the test results announced, the person may be taken by one of the five universities. The five universities are Royal University, Alolan University, Lightning University, Mana university, and Lunar University. Royal University-where only people having affinity of at least Blue rank is taken. There all are provided with the best training. It is managed by the King. Alolan University is the second most powerful university after the Royal one. There all the people who have at least Green affinity are taken. Next in line is Lightning University. Here, only people who have Lightning affinity are taken irrespective of their rank. Mana University is mainly for people having Lighting, Wind, and Nature affinity. Other affinities are also taken by them but in small numbers. The last one is Lunar University. Here only people having Light or Darkness are taken. Since these are present in small numbers, only a few students are there making it least powerful. But this University was greatly supported by the King's wife from there only the greatest Light masters and Darkness wielders come to serve the Kingdom of Aura.

In the evening…
"Attie, come for dinner!"
"Yeah, coming…."
His mother and he ate dinner in silence.
His father was not there in the house. He left them some years ago. He is an adventurer who goes to a place and finds hidden things there. Attie had last seen his father when he was 10 years old. Even though his father is not there, his mother treats him kindly and gives unconditional love to him.
After the dinner…
"Mom, I am going to my room…" Said Attie to his mom.
"Why are you going to the room early? Are you too scared of tomorrow since tomorrow is the test?" His mother asked him mockingly.
"Hah! Who is scared of tomorrow's test? I am sure that I will have fire affinity." Said Attie.
"Oh! How are you sure you may have the fire? Why can't you have water?"
"I am sure mom. I just have a feeling that I have a strong affinity. Since fire is strongest, I will have it"
"Who said the fire is strong? All the affinities are strong in their way!" Rebutted his mom to his claim.
"Hmph! Will see tomorrow" After saying this Attie ran to his room upstairs.
His mother seeing this sighed and went to the kitchen to finish her work.
In his room.
'I am so excited. What will be my affinity? In which University will I get?' He thought about it in excitement. He was smiling and rolling on the bed thinking of tomorrow.
After some time…
"Zzzzzzzz"
"Zzzzzzzz"
A snoring sound was heard. It was none other than Attie who had slept thinking about the test. He dreamt a nice dream about his future.
Who knows? Maybe his dream will comes true?
His dream…
Atesh was standing on a hill. All around him were monsters and he was alone. A smile hung on his face because he believed he could defeat all of them like child's play.
"Fire Ball" he shouted.
Soon a big ball of fire was seen in front of him which was going to the area where monsters are seen.
*Boom* a loud explosion rang out followed by a huge blob of smoke. Not a single alive monster was seen all were dead. Only could corpses of them were seen…
"Hahahaha…" Attie laughed. He was having fun killing these monsters…
He then made some more fireballs and tossed them to the places where he found monsters.
*Boom, Boom, BOOM, BOOM* explosions rang out everywhere and a large amount of smoke was released.
'I should stop for now. My mana reserves are going to be empty soon. If any more monsters come I will be done for.' He thought. He then went to the opposite side.
Suddenly, a monster came and attacked him. He was taken by surprise, so he couldn't attack it back.
"Argh…" a cry was heard from him.
The monster didn't stop the onslaught.
'Am I going to die here' he thought.
The monster then pierced through his chest.
*Cough* *cough* He woke up from sleep and was surprised to find himself in his room. It was midnight.
'So it was only a dream. Thank God he thought.
After some time he again went to sleep. This time it was a peaceful one-no dream.
