Ch.69

Over the next year, Cynthia and I spent our time together living in Sinnoh. Then the following year I had to go back out to discover new places. However, I could teleport home anytime. In the next few years, I wandered the other populated regions like Unova and Alola. In both regions, their legendaries remained hidden even with me poking around.

During this time I grew very close to Giratina becoming even more powerful with my powers. However, they told me to continue to grow since it could alert Arceus of my presence. So for now, I held off though now I surpassed even Mew and Mewtwo in psychic strength according to Giratina.

So I headed to the Galar region next, during my time traveling I was able to increase my Pokémon to their best. Leo reached God Rank, as it seemed he broke the threshold when we brought him to his old region. While Annihilape and Gardevoir were still unable to break into it, remaining at level 99.

Mamoswine and Milotic were able to break into Purple potential giving them the ability to reach level 95. However, I still have to find a way to increase their potential one more time, though I'm not sure what I can do for now. Though now, I only believe Professor Oak can match me in the strength of my team.

We arrived at the Galar region, the smallest region in the world. Taking up one large long island, reminded me a bit of Korea's size from my old life. I first arrived in Hulbury which was a small city in this world having a population of only a few million. It was the only port city in the region making it the trading hub too for outside trade.

'Remind me again why I'm here?' I asked Giratina about the connection we made since they marked me.

'I want to know if Eternatus's prison is still strong. Plus once we figure out where they are being held, we can use it to distract Arceus from us,' Giratina says as I make my way to Wyndon the capital of the region.

'Plus from your old life's memories, it appears the Governer here is messing with Eternatus's imprisonment. We should meet him,' Giratina continues as I book a train ride to Wyndon which is similar to a bullet train from my past life.

Giratina now connecting with my soul was able to see I lived another life that had this world in it. They went through those memories asking me about them and becoming increasingly interested in them. Giratina believes I could be the one to tear down Arceus from their throne.

'You think I can just walk into the governor's office and demand he tell me about the secret plan he is doing?' I say as we ride to Wyndon.

'Not, but that doesn't mean we can't poke around. Plus with your fame and soon new title of Pokémon Master he will want to make a favorable impression on you,' Giratina says.

'Just because I might win the Champion Tournament, doesn't mean he will believe it to be true. Hell, their current champion Leon is favored to be the strongest Champion seen in the entire League,' I say since Leon was known to be the strongest of our generation, though since my arrival we appear to be tied for that title.

Though most of the public doesn't know me outside my findings as part of the Exploration unit, at the same time, the world knows Leon for being the strongest Pokémon Champion. The only people who know us to be equals are fellow Champions and higher League members.

'If the governor gives you a problem, then just explore the place behind his back. Plus we can always charm him you know that,' Giratina says with a certain edge in his voice.

'Fine, but only as a last resort,' I say with Giratina going quiet now for the rest of the journey.

We then arrive in Wyndon, a huge city located in the northernmost part of the Galar region. It is the most populous city in Galar and the third-most populous in the Pokémon League, behind Kalos's Lumiose City and Paldea's Mesagoza. Wyndon Stadium is the biggest stadium in Galar and serves as the Region's HQ. The Trainers who have earned eight Badges participate in the Champion Cup here to decide who gets the right to challenge the current Champion for their title.

I walk to the Stadium which is currently not in use since the tournament is not being held right now. Walking inside I see several people walking about their day with a receptionist at a desk in the back of the lobby. Currently, I only have Leo out with me as the rest of my team is in their Poké balls, aside from Annihilape who remains in my shadow.

"Hello, how can I help you?" the receptionist asks me seeing me walk over to her. With Leo sat down next to me while looking around at the people walking around us.

"My name is Lucas Brinton, Champion Ranked trainer and a Colonel in the Exploration Unit. I'm here to meet with the governor, I have a few questions I want to ask them," I say as the receptionist nods her head with the same professional smile before making a phone call.

"Please follow me," the receptionist says standing up and walking over to an elevator which Leo just barely fits in.

She then takes us to the top floor, it opens up to a long hallway with several doors on either side and a set of double doors on both the right and left sides. She walks us over to the left side double door and knocks, we hear a man with a rich silky smooth voice say to come in.

"Sir, this is Champion Ranked Trainer Lucas Brinton," the receptionist says introducing me.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Governor Rose, but you can just call me Rose," Rose says holding out a hand in greeting to me which I shake in return.

"Thank you, Sarah," Rose says dismissing the receptionist who nods her head taking her leave.

"Want anything to drink? Coffee, tea, water?" Rose asks as he takes a seat at his desk and gestures for me to sit at one of the chairs across from him.

"No thanks," I say shaking my head as he nods.

"So what brings you to our region? I'm sure we have nothing of interest here since our island is small and very populated leaving almost nowhere for anything of interest to hide," Rose says giving me a curious look.

'He is hiding Eternatus's location. He knows,' Giratina says as I feel them become annoyed with Rose.

"I see… Well, our sources tell us there is something hidden in this region. I'm tasked to look into it and see if I can find out what it is or if our source is wrong," I say to him and I can see a small spark of fear in his eyes appear before quickly disappearing.

"Interesting… Well if you need anything from me just ask, I will give you any resource you need to find out if this source of yours is truthful or not," Rose says to me while standing up and ushering me out.

"I appreciate that," I say nodding my head and taking my leave going back down to the lobby.

'Annihilape stay with him and see if you can find more out. Though don't act and only inform me if he does anything,' I say through our connection before I leave and feel Annihilape leave my shadow to go to Rose's shadow.

'From your old memories, it appears he is using the hidden prison of Eternatus to research a way of infinite energy. He does not seem to understand he is messing with a world-ending catastrophe,' Giratina says with a sigh.

'So what we start walking through the energy plants? That would alert him immediately and he might do something drastic, like accidentally release Eternatus,' I say to him since the games are much different from my new life.

'For now, see if you can gather anything from the locals while Annihilape babysits Rose,' Giratina says and I walk around the city asking people about any local legends.

By the end of the day, we learn nothing of value while Annihilape remains beside Rose. I then teleport him with Giratina keeping a connection with Annihialpe in case he needs me. The following morning I kiss Cynthia goodbye before teleporting back to Wyndon, in the room I booked to make it seem like I stayed here.

"Trainer Lucas!" I hear someone say as I walk through the city trying to discreetly ask people questions about the advanced electricity in the region.

Looking over I see a Leon who is around my height with shoulder-length dark purple hair, piercing yellow eyes, and brown skin. He is wearing a jersey that has the Region Symbol on the front, with white short-shorts over white skin-tight leggings, ankle-high sneakers, a cap, and a cloak that resembles a King's cloak with many sponsors littering the back of it.

"Hello?" I say with a confused look at why the Champion of the region is here looking for me. However, he is being stopped by people who are taking pictures of him and asking for autographs.

"Excuse me, I promise to sign these later. Though currently I wish to speak with someone," Leon says trying to break through the crowd, then his Charizard growls making everyone quickly disperse.

Leon walks over to me with a confident and friendly smile, as his Charizard is staring down both me and Leo with a prideful look. Leo just yawns dismissing Charizard's stare, making Charizard glare at Leo. From the looks of it, Charizard is an Emperor Rank Pokémon which makes Leo very easily capable of defeating him.

"I heard another Champion Ranked trainer appeared here. I was just curious about you since I heard a lot about you. Plus from what I hear it seems you and I are tied for the strongest trainer in our generation. From what I can see that is true," Leon says while looking at Leo who looks at them with a bored expression. Though they can feel Leo is at least Emperor Ranked since he is holding back his God Rank aura.

"So you just wanted to meet me?" I say giving him a suspicious look while thinking that Rose might have sent him to distract me.

"Yeah, though I'd be interested in a battle with you," Leon says giving me a hopeful smile as everyone around is now looking on excited at the thought.

"Sorry, I'm too busy to battle. Though once the Champion tournament happens I bet we will be battling there," I say to him as he nods his head, with people now murmuring in disappointment.

"Understandable. Though if you need anything, just reach out to me," Leon says handing me his number before turning back to the crowd to sign the autographs he promised he would sign. I quickly make my escape as the crowd begins to cut off Leon surrounding him quickly.

"We need to talk with Professor Magnolia. I just remembered she might be the key to finding Eternatus's whereabouts," I say out loud more to myself as Leo nods his head. I then quickly called Professor Oak.

"Yes?" Professor Oak says answering the phone.

"Can you contact Professor Magnolia and let her know I need to talk to her about her research in Dynamax. It might help me with my search here and stop something bad from happening," I say to Professor Oak.

"Sure, though she might not be that open still. You are going to be asking her about her life's research," Professor Oak says to me giving me a warning.

"I know, but I don't need all the details, just certain ones," I say before he sighs.

"Ok, good luck kid," Professor Oak says handing up before calling Professor Magnolia I assume.
